Very good”
The location is great with bay view. Room is quite large, but no bathtub in my room eventhough it’s in the room’s description. Staffs were ok, not as friendly as in some other resorts in the south of VN. The indoor pool was great.

Worth it for the views”
I would just like to say that regardless of the rest of the review, I would still recommend booking this hotel as you really can't get the sort of views it offers anywhere else that I could see. However I would not recommend staying at the hotel for full price. The hotel is at the far end of Cat Ba town and if you didn't get a taxi, you'll have to walk up the final hill 5-10 minutes (before then also possibly being shuttled between buildings to check in). I was here in the off season so it was fairly empty. This also meant minimal staff available to assist if you have questions etc. While each staff member individually was lovely and tried to help as much as they could, the hotel clearly hires very young people without offering much support, which leaves a bad experience for guests given the amount you pay for staying here. Virtually no vegan food available for breakfast (aside from fruit) or at any restaurants. Minimal vegetarian options. Restaurant and bar prices are extremely high ('signature' cocktails approaching what I would expect to pay in a bar in London). There is one bar that is open next to the infinity pool in the first building, but otherwise no sort of beach bar/service despite the private beaches. Several areas of the hotel seemed unfinished. The hallways of the hotel are not furnished and are all solid material (concrete etc.) so the echoing of other guests is incredibly loud, as is the muzak played in the hallways. The doors to rooms are not thick/soundproofed and so this creates a real noise issue. If the hotel were busy I imagine this would be unbearable. There was no separate shower in the room - it was overhead a very tall bathtab. This is a really poor design as water ended up everywhere, and there's the extra issue of people with mobility issues/risk of a tall bathtub etc. On a beach I would expect to have a shower. Relaxing trip in Cat Ba”
This hotel is so beautiful with stunning views. The beach is beautiful and cleaned every day. There are several pools and all very clean. The staff are so friendly and helpful . The breakfast is so amazing with so many choices and delicious. The rooms and so comfortable I would highly recommend this hotel

Great stay with superb sea view”
All together I stayed 4 nights at the Flamingo Cat Ba Beach Resort and I enjoyed it from A to Z. Smooth check-in. Great room with incredible views into the Bay (liked the balcony especially/premier sea view). Fantastic choice at the breakfast buffet. I had always a la carte Dinner, what was fresh and tasty. The housekeeping team did a good job in the background and kept my room clean and tidy. Also the other staff members were attentive, friendly and helpful (special thanks to Mr Chien and Mr Khanh from the Reception). So to sum up: if you after a quiet place of high quality to stay, with unforgetable seaviews and Cat Ba Town just around the corner. This hotel is the place to be!

Top notch loving stay”
We were reallocated to flamingo cat ba (tower 1) because 2 and 3 (lan ha bay) were closed for reno. Hotel room was great and super luxurious (premier ocean view), with 2 balcony doors, one overseeing tower 2 and the other looking out into the sea 😍 swimming pools were great, especially the one in tower 2 which had a heated pool. Breakfast spread was good too. All in all really enjoyed the stay and would stay here again

We lost the hot water twice during our shower. The breakfast buffet was normal. The strawberry jam was out and I had to ask the staff to refill. But nobody did anything. It seems that there is a lot of room for improvement with regard to the staff service. One good thing is the relaxing oceanview from the balcony.

Stunning Hotel”
From the moment you arrive to the moment you depart you are made to feel special. This is a beautiful, well thought out building on a lovely beach. Staff were exceptional as was the dining, pool, and transport services. The room booked was heavily discounted, so I'm not sure if it was value for money at standard rate card, but their was nothing discounted when it came to personal service. If you can, go stay at the Flamingo! You won't regret it.

Gorgeous place, just some some facilities would expect better for 5*”
Just a bit style over substance. Amount of money they have spent but some areas could have definately been better. Bath is lovely but not practical, floods everytime you try to use it. Outdoor pools were amazing but didn't get any late afternoon sun. Shame they didn't invest in a rooftop pool as there is so much wasted space. The rooftop bar / restuarant only opened at 6pm - when best time to be there would have been 4pm. No flexibility when checking out. Couldnt get a drink by the pool, staff there with nothing to do, just buy a fridge and supply the basics

Flamingo hotel is a disappointment”
The hotel itself is nice, with good amenities and restaurants. Would be better if they were actually open. Upon arrival was shown the list of restaurants available but turns out there was only one you can eat at. Place felt like a ghost town not many people, zero vibes. Staff were not friendly or could not speak english. Overall price to stay was reasonable and venue is nice but promised alot and did not deliver.

We have been there for 4 times. But we spent almost 120 USD for a night and we expected to have a room on a high floor, sadly they refused our request. The room was quite decent and spacious but the view was not that much great since the trees blocked the visibility. Hopefully, next time they will treat us better in this respect. Thanks a lot.

We had a fantastic stay at Flamingo the view on the bay is just awesome. Staff is friendly restaurant a bit expensive but good and with ocean view. The breakfast is amazing with great Vietnamese food.

Great but can be greater!”
Wonderful resort: great view, great facility, great service, great meals...however, the ONLY one and HUGE weakness was sound proof. Although all my room's doors, windows and curtains were closed, I still hear the karaoke sound from the downstair room VERY CLEARLY. Hope that you can improve this issue, this is a simple but big issue for a 5* resort like you :(
