FOrmosa hotel malacca”
BOoked 2 nights at formosa garden hotel. The room is quite spacey. Very clean, but need bigger tv. Hotel sfaffs arr very friendly and helpful. Got lost in middle of nowhere. Made a call to the hotel, the staff directed us back to the hotel. The hotel in located along the straits of malacca. Going to malacca town only takes around 5 minutes or less. Convenient I can say. Definately a good rating hotel.

Comfortable Hotel and good service”
Although the hotel is not located within the city area, for the price that i'm paying, it sure is worth it. And even if you don't drive, the bus bay (service 11) is right infront of the hotel and it would take you direct to the City Centre and Malacca Bus Terminal. The front office staff are also very pleasant and helpful. Thanks FGH.

Best Western Kuta”
Best Western's location is pretty decent if u do not mind taking short stroll around. Besides they have shuttle service to the city center and back which is excellent. Being vegetarians, we appreciated the fact that the hotel went out of their way to make special breakfast for us. The rooms are very large and spacious - a rare feature.

The stay at the Formosa Garden Hotel (Malacca) was rather relaxed as the rooms were cosy and spacious. The Hotel itself is so colorful as each floor has it unique colors. The staff were quite friendly and helpful. Due to the badly serving of breakfast, I may not going back to this hotel unless there is an improvement on the quality of the breakfast servings.

had a pretty good and relaxing stay with my family.we had a negative thought of the hotel condition before arrival cos we read the review comment by the hotel guest. some complained about the aircon not cool and the toilet was not maintained. Thumbs up to the hotel managements to improve the room condition. however the only area needs to improve is the breakfast menu.

The customer services of this hotel impressed me much! The receiptionist is friendly and helpful! The room is clean and full of vocation atmosphere. My staying room comes with blue color theme, it is romantic and relax. I love it much! The hotel located at a conveniences place, there is a highway can excess to town within 10 min. I have a pleasant stay at Famosa Garden Hotel!

Formosa Garden Hotel Melaka”
It is a good hotel considering the price paid. The hotel must have read the previous comments and improved. The food is better than accordion hotel for the priced paid. It was hot when we ate. The staff's were courteous. The only thing that was an eye sore was the colour scheme used. There is a swimming pool and sheltered car park. The scary thing was at the time I stayed, tremors were felt on the 4th floor. There was an earthquake in Indonesia, the bed that I was lying down shoke.

Stay here if you have NO CHOICE ....”
As Malacca is always short of mid-value hotel during holidays, Formosa Garden being a mid-sized hotel has some rooms available. So we have no choice but booked it. The downside we experienced were 1. The shower heater were not working. 2. The shower soap dispenser were empty and when we refilled it ; its not working! 3. The aircon were fiercely condensing and water dripping from the aircon. My clothes were directly under the aircon. Hence my shirt became wet. Remember. This hotel is at least 2-3 km from city center hence if you do not have a car its not advisable to stay here.

Local TV stations should be made available. As the room was big enough for children to run around but for adult is was a bit boring as only a few TV channel is available and reception was bad.Transport to tourist destinations should be made available and a tourist information center should also be made available. I asked for a map of Malacca from the reception but it was not available.

Quiet, simple, good location if have car”
The hotel is located outside the historic city centre, on Tengkera Rd very near to several famous food spots and a 5-10 min drive to Jonker walk and the city centre. The location is also quiet, away from the crowds and noise of the city. The hotel has free basement and open parking. The hotel is relatively simple and basic like a motel, with large clean rooms. However, it lacks basic toiletries (bring your own toothpaste, toothbrush), and there is no in-room wifi. Buffet breakfast is again quite basic, similar to backpacker hostels with a mix of local and western fare, and regularly replenished.

the reception was quite ward towards us with sincere smile and assistance. the hotel was quite comfortable with not too bad facilities to family travellers. the room was quite spacious and comfortable facilities. the swimming pool also quite clean and overall the hotel is very well maintained.

Value for $$$”
This is a pretty brand new hotel with seaview, away from the heart of the city, however, it was so accessible to main shopping near Mahkota because of the NEW route just right behind the hotel. It takes less than 10 mins to reach the Mall. In fact, it has a basic ammenities provided.

really nice, large room, had a pool which is always good in hot weather. the hotel is a bit out of town so taxi is really the only option with luggage (unless you know the place and transport systems really well). so i highly recommend a double sweep pf the room and some taxi money :) but overall i enjoyed the stay.

Great Location and big rooms.”
Check in is quick. The rooms are big (for the price) and clean. Not much TV programs to entertain children and there is no remote for the TV. Just added a swimming pool but only suitable for children above 1.2m. Location is right beside the new highway to shopping belt and jonker street night market. Overall a good place to stay.

Stay was normal & peaceful. There was not much option for the breakfast. Hotel is of normal standards & I felt the price was not worth that normal hotel. I feel may be because of the peak season the rate was on the higher side otherwise it should less that what I have paid.

location of the hotel is not too far away from the city, provide you have your own transportation. public transport is not convienent and the hotel do not provide shutter bus services to the town. talking about the cost staying overnight here is not that budget. with that kind of price i could easily get a 4 stars hotel.

Value in money hotel for big groups”
We only stayed in this hotel for 1 night. No major complaints about the hotel. Decent breakfast provided is not fantastic, may be can add in egg station. There's a swimming pool which is so small that even my 11 year old son is not interested to swim in it. The one thing that we like is the massage chair which you need to pay minimum 1 MYR to enjoy the great massage.
