Was not my first choice. Unfortunately my initial booked accommodation cancelled two days prior. In rush to find one affordable on new year eve and in King Cross area. Stayed in 8 mixed dorm. There are CCTV at a lot of places, but many exit door weren't locked. So any one can sneak in and stay for the night outside the dorms, inside the premises. There were drawers under bunk bed for each bed holder, just that you need to have your own lock. Alternative, buy a combination lock from reception. Tooth brush, toothpaste , towel etc are available for purchase or hire. It is convenience, not cost effective if you on tight budget. Lockers fees £8 for 24hrs. Again it is convenience, not cost effective. All you can eat breakfast £7 pay when you check in. I think its cheap. I had bar food - Buffalo wings £8 for dinner. I think it was tasty.

Great Hostel in a Perfect Location”
Kind hostel mates, friendly staff, decent bar, perfect location. This hostel was an excellent basecamp for my solo trip to London. Beds were comfortable, furnishings were modern (two USBs and an LED light in-bunk!), and the bar was a great place to relax and catch up with new friends. If I return as a solo traveller, I will consider giving Generator my business once again. Do not hesitate to book your stay here.

Nothing to say, nice to stay, hanging out with other new friends in the bar under the hostel. The only thing that I regret I’ve met beautiful swedish girl and didn’t ask her contract. To sum up, if you are now reading this comment, scrolling up and making a booking trust me. Ps. This is not sponsor review hahaaa based on real experience in a 4-bed dormitory.

The staffs were friendly and i like the location as it is just couple of minutes away from Russell Square and King’s Cross stations. The neighbourhood was quiet and has cafes and shops nearby. I like that there was an in-house bar. I stayed at 5th flr so didn’t experience the noise from the bar hehe - The room was okay, it was clean but super small space. We were 4 in the room and can’t open 2 luggages at the same time, one of my roommates had to bring her luggage out the hallway. Shower area should have been better if had bigger space as well

Staying there more than 3(three) days was pretty amazing experience. At the center of London, that less than 10mins walked to King's and Rusell Square Metro. The hostel also pretty near to Brunswick Center, where I can find GBK, Yo! Sushi, and Nando's. The room also checked and cleaned every morning at 10. as well as the bathroom.. but at the wrong time (about 7 to 10am). That's my bath-time, that caused me to find other bathroom (other floor). Other than the bathroom things, I am sure will be stay again at GH London.

Best Solo traveller place ”
Most of the time u will be moving around so best to just have a Matress to stay and locate near to good places and train station …. This little place it’s like a hotel on its own .,, there are it’s own bar it’s own restaurant etc etc …. When I am Back to London I will stay here again !
