"The Corinda Collection is a magnificent group of buildings that from a colonial block of property on the Glebe; extremely convenient to the centre of Hobart. We spent the first night in the old “Slave Quarters” and thankfully washing up was not compulsory! The fireplace was more than welcome on a cold summer’s evening in Tasmania, while a hot bath in a luxurious stand-alone bathtub provided all the modern comforts in an old esteemed building. Fitted heat blankets were the last thankful surprise to a lovely evening. Deciding to spend further nights, we were invited into the main house, a grand old Victorian mansion, built by Mayor Alfred Crisp, the host' great great grandfather. A stunningly verdant garden and themed rooms all added to the charm, with a real Downton Abbey (albeit smaller) feel to the grandeur of the lounge. Julian and Chasi were warm and friendly, with a multitude of advice, while the healthy and delectable breakfast was the final cherry on top."
