Fantastic hotel that touches the 5 star mark”
my wife and i only spent two days at the golden coast resort. so far it was the best two days of our vietnam vacation. the food, people and facilities are the best we've come by yet. it also yields ample beach front, and a fantastic spa. we have ended up travelling up the coast, but are changing our iterary to head back down to phan thiet so we can go back. there are some people that my not like this hotel because it is 7km from the hustle and bustle of the city, but i think that is the perfect hideaway

Just the thing for our little holiday”
My two teenage daughter and I had a great stay at Golden Coast. We were in the third and final week of our Vietnam holiday, and the quiet, friendly atmosphere here was just what we'd hoped for. While there were others staying at the hotel, they mainly disappeared at midday to go into busy Mui Ne (a few kms away), so we had the pool and the beach mostly to ourselves. We ate every meal at Golden Coast, and as long as you know how to order Vietnamese (which we do, and you too can learn by asking), then there's ample choice and flavour at Golden Coast for at least four days. The beach was clean and there were even catchable waves, something we love. The kids loved the pool, and the bungalow was totally grand, with a massive and comfy king sized bed, great bathroom and neat little deck at the front for those morning coffees. Mostly though, the staff. They were so friendly and kind. Would definately go back.

Lovely resort with beautiful staff. ”
Our stay was made very comfortable by the helpful, friendly and very obliging staff. Good food,well prepared and presented. The rooms are very spacious, clean and well appointed. The gardens around the resort are maintained to a very high standard also the pool area. The beach could be cleaner and there were quite big jelly fish washed up on the shore which didn't make it appealing for swimming but the pool more than made up for it. Not a lot to do therefore very good for a relaxing holiday, but if you need more activity the courtesy bus into Phan Thiet city gives you the option. The Spa is well worth a visit as the massages are very good.

nice but quiet hotel in phan thiet”
We selected Golden Coast Resort and Spa from Agoda based on its nice descriptions of facilities and location. We did feel the value of our money when spending our vaction here. The facilities are meeting our expectation and attitude of resort's staff does make us happy and feel comfortable. The breafasts are delicious and the menu is changed everyday, that's why we could enjoy them. The location of Golden Coast however is not convenient for our public network i.e. it is quite far away from the tourist places e.g. Mui Ne, Hon Rom, Sandy hills, etc...

Beautiful escape”
This resort isn't for everyone. At first we were shocked by how remote the resort was. We took a bus from Saigon and was dropped off in the middle of the road. We almost resigned to take motorcycle taxis with our luggage and thankfully a taxi came by. Then 7km later, we reached the resort. It's so lovely. There are plenty of beach chairs facing the ocean, no vendors to bother you to buy things. Miles and miles of beaches with very few people. Yes there are trash on one side of the beach but we had to look at the bright side. Many colorful shells on the beach. Breakfast was fantastic with so many selections. Because its remote location, we stayed (the resort does have a shuttle to Phan Thiet City) in the resort for dinner and it was very good and yes, a little pricier. So if you want a relaxing vacation and quietness, this resort is for you. If you want action and choices of restaurants and shopping and travel agencies, this is not for you. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Yes their English was limited but they tried very hard to help. We had a superior room but were woken up by construction the first morning. We requested a change of room and only one room with two twin beds were available. It had sea view though. They offered to push two beds together so we ended up in a sea view room.

i had a short holiday together with my family in phan thiet. i choose golden coast resort & spa and my family satisfied so much. room is enough large and well equipmented. beautiful sea and garden view. delicious food. good spa. we are satififed with its service in low cost. we will come back in next our holidays and share with our friends. thank you!

Beautiful resort, friendly staff”
Free WIFI, breakfast buffet was excellent, the location is a bit isolated but for this reason it's good for a more relaxed holiday. Scooter rental for 12 USD per day easily takes you to nearby Phan Thiet (good food) and Miu Ne (shopping). The food at the hotel restaurant was average and a bit overpriced. The beach is great in the mornings but the water gets quite choppy in the afternoon so it helps that the hotel has a good pool. The grounds are perfectly manicured and the staff has done an excellent job battling the biting insects! Hotel is family friendly and has a great kid's pool and playground.

Relaxing holiday”
this was my family's second stay at golden coast and i'm sure that it won't be our last. the staff are extremely friendly. the kiddies playground and slides into the pool help to keep the kids entertained. breakfast is good. lunch and dinner aren't great, but they offer a free shuttle bus into phan thiet, where excellent food can be had.

nice resort with private beach”
we stayed in this resort for eleven nights and enjoyed it very much. we booked two beach front bungalows, which very comfortably big. the staff was very friendly and helpful but sometimes a little slow in the restaurant. if you are looking for a lot of evening/night activities you shouldn't go there, but if you just want relax, it's the right place to go. the new year' eve gala dinner was a bit disappointing since there was not enough food for everybody and the entertainment was boring. but overall we liked our stay there and the kids enjoyed to dive in the huge waves. if you don't mind to be surrounded by (sometimes quite rude) russians the golden coast resort is a good place to spend your holiday.

Good hotel, off the beaten track.”
This hotel is out of the main Phan Tiet area, but that's a plus if you're after some nice relaxation. Situated on a lovely beach, and also has a wonderful pool if you don't want to get all sandy. Staff were very helpful. We actually ended up staying 3 nights and got a free upgrade to a beachfront bungalow when a tour group arrived. Food was good and very reasonably priced for a resort. Also had a good deal on with the Spa. They also had the option for beach sports.

This is a new resort, and the staff cannot do enough to help you. There are limited facilities in the surrounding area - a shop and a restaurant across the road, and a couple of other resorts further on, but there are shuttles into Phan Thiet daily. The pool and beach are lovely.

Friendly staff at a Relaxing beach side resort”
We stayed in a beach front Bungalow for New Years Eve. The Bungalow was gorgeous, the only con on the room would be there was no info pack to tell us checkout time or resort features, which was strangely enough really annoying! The Gala dinner we attended was fantastic fun. The staff really let their hair down and we had a brilliant night partying with the other guests of the resort. I can't praise that night enough, it really was great fun! One of the girls on the front desk, I think she's the manager of the front desk, is great. She's so friendly and helpful. We were getting pretty sick and tired of annoying children hogging the two internet computers playing games, and she would send them away for us when we needed to check out emails. Aside from the excellent buffet breakfast, the only disappointment of this resort was the restaurant. The food really let it down. We had some nice meals but others really lacked anything. I had the coconut prawns which were one of the more expensive items, and all it was were several prawns served in a coconut shell. no rice, no salad... just a few prawns, and they weren't very nice either. Very hit and miss menu. Because of the location of the resort it's not that easy to just pop into town for a meal, if the management really want this place to take off, they need to make some major improvements on the kitchen, especially as compared to other accommodation in Vietnam it's on the expensive side. Overall, I wouldn't let that stop you from staying at Golden Coast. We had a very pleasant time

This was my fourth stay at Golden Coast and it won't be my last. My family and I always leave talking about how friendly the staff are, how great the pool is and what great value the resort is. The staff don't have the best English so they make some mistakes, but they are so friendly that it doesn't matter.

Another great stay at Golden Coast”
My family and I had another great stay at Golden Coast. It really is a great value hotel, with excellent rooms, a lovely pool and nice grounds. The minute we arrive we feel at home and the minute we leave we miss the fresh air, the glorious pool and beach combing on the beach. I'm pleased to report that the food has improved. We'll be back

Good 4 star hotel”
The hotel was located about 20 km (I am not exactly sure) from Phan Thiet and quite far away from Mui Ne (buy taxi about 30-40 minutes) and there was not much life around it. If you don´t like to eat at the hotel, then Phan Thiet is one option but the choise of restaurants there is very poor, next opportunity is Mui Ne. The hotel has a complimentary shuttle bus to Phan Thiet, which was very convenient. Our room was spacious but from the looks I could tell that rats often visited our balcony, this is something that bothered me, not that it is in the hands of the hotel staff to fight with this overall problem at all, but I would have expected that at least they clean the balcony. The hotel looked pretty much the same as it did on the pictures and the staff was friendly but even in reception they hardly spoke English, we wanted to book a bus to Nha Trang and this was very difficult to explain and also they mixed the bus times up twice. Buffet breakfast was not something you would expect from a 4 star hotel - the choise of food was quite poor and all the time we needed to remaind the staff to fill up the plates and bring some more coffee. Although the staff was friendly, I would say that they need a lot more training. All in all I would say it is a perfect hotel for families, you don´t need to leave the hotel premisis at all, everything is there. I visited the spa as well and they were very professional and did a good job.

Lovely, well-maintained, but the beach is TERRIBL”
This hotel is well-groomed, well maintained and quite lovely. The pool was wonderful and the staff did their best, in spite of their poor English. The restaurant menu was very limited and overpriced. The rooms were great and very clean, modern and cheap. However, the location is terrible in that it is miles away from Phan Thiet town or any restaurants, cafes, etc. That said, there's very little in Phan Thiet too. The beach was covered in garbage and we saw a dead dog, dead chicken and two dead rats washed up on the beach over 2 days.

the resort is located outside the phan thiet village. we got a big room with a sea view. the furniture in the room is new and modern, as well as everything else: kettle, safe etc. it's a really nice resort. it has a free gym and pool table. i would definitely go there again.

Noce rooms but terrible location”
hello, we stayed in the hotel as a part of an around the world journey, so we have seen a lot of hotels in asia and south america before. the golden coast is a nice and new building. the rooms are big and we had with a deluxe room a very nice balkony and seaview. but the location makes the hotel not a good place to stay. it is more then 7km outside of phan thiet in the middle of nowhere. there are no restaurants, bars or s.th. like that. that means you have to use the hotel restaurant (because phan thiet is not very nice also) which is o.k. but seriuos overpriced (for vietnamese circumstances) the service in the hotel is like in vietnam.
