Exceptional”
Not sure if he was the owner or the manager, but he was an amazing host, always smiling and happy to see you, extremely helpful and went above and beyond to accomodate and help where possible, including picking up from and dropping off at the pier. I couldn't have ask for any better. The rooms were large, clean and had great views, along with the pool and gym. I would 100% book another stay there again, it was a pleasure for sure.

Piece of mind”
PEACEFUL. If you like to be active and you enjoy peaceful nature atmosphere, this is for you. It's not normal "touristy island" and if you looking for flashy 5star spa resort services or vivid night life, you should go somewhere else. Here you come for peace of mind, getting touch with the nature and for positive community atmosphere. For yogis they have amazing Yoga Pavillion in the middle of garden, right next to the pool. They have outside gym which might look old but it has everything you need and it's all about the atmosphere around you. You can do Muay thai, play tennis and just chill some of the quiet beaches. Staff might not be there 24/7 but most of the time they are there, always helping and you can always call the manager if you need something. Close by there is Organic farm /restaurant in the middle of nowhere. That was my favourite restaurant but you can find great food everywhere frrom the island. I will be coming back to this place!

Kind and helpful staff and owner, Mr Peak. Beautiful garden, the room was perfect, spacious, good bedding, peaceful. We felt like home. Close to good restaurant, bar and beaches. 100% recommand. We'll come back.

I found the location great, on top of the small hill, the view is nice and I can reach both sides of the island and both beaches by walk. The staff arranged me a moto easily. The rooms are very spacious and have a homely feeling. Staff always friendly and helpful

Lovely rooms and staff”
Whilst not right on the beach, the gardens are lovely and the resort is central to everything you need. There is a choice of beaches only minutes away. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and have unique furniture and artworks. The manager and staff are wonderfully helpful.

Great stay ”
Our stay is was great! The manager Khun Peak was just amazing and always so helpful, friendly, kind. All the staffs made us feel at home. The room was super spacious and the bed was sooooo comfortable! Large balcony with a great view. The resort was full of greeneries and nature, they have several feline friends to also keep you company :) ( super friendly dogs and cats especially Brownie who would always wanna stay with us and Bruno the dog who loves to go for rides :) ) We definitely recommend to stay here if you love nature and animals. Location was close within walking distance to the beach ( Ao Suan Yai ) which is probably one of the nicest and close to Koh Kham that you can even kayak to.

Another lovely few days here”
Away from the beach which is also a bonus as no sandflies! We had a Seaview suite which was plenty big enough for our needs and included a fridge which was useful. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Anything you need - scooters, trips, taxi to pier, just ask and it happens! They have some friendly cats and dogs which we loved but they are not intrusive. This is our second stay here and look forward to our next visit!

My stay”
I was very pleased with our stay at Good Times Resort. What stood out, was the cleanliness, the friendliness of the Manager, the central location, and the quality of breakfast. Although the Resort is centrally located, I recommend a motor bike to get you around the island, plus it is fun. You to need to be mindful, if you arrive to by air to Trat Airport, the last ferry to the Koh Mak may depart before your later afternoon flight. Just make sure you coordinate those schedules. All in all, very happy.

Lovely hotel resort in beautiful landscaped garden”
Good time is a beautiful resort. It has spacious grounds, planted with banana, palms and flowering shrubs (frangipani, agapanthus and hibiscus and more) and consists of a serious of different modern houses, built to a traditional Thai style with striking covered balconies. There is a swimming pool and spa and various locations from which you can see the sea, view the sunsets and chill over a beer. There are 2 white sand beaches to which you can walk (5-10min walk), which are not at all crowded and fringed with coconut palms. Koh Mak is a small island, with about 10 restaurants adjoining the main beach. If you want a vibrant nightlife, this is not the place to go, but if you want a beautiful and peaceful holiday, this is certainly the place to come.

Beautiful resort, exceeded our expectations”
Koh Mak is absolutely stunning. For us it had the perfect balance between daytime activities and low-key nightlife without becoming over-developed and spoilt. Goodtime Resort was fantastic and was the highlight of our holiday. We had booked a superior double but I’m pretty sure we were upgraded as we had a massive suite to ourselves with a huge roof terrace, sitting area and lovely teak details right by the pool. The location is great as you can walk to both beaches and a range of restaurants and bars. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Josh –(an American guy working there) and we were made to feel very much at home. If I had to come up with a negative it would be that the shower in our room needed some work, there was no hot water and the pressure was very low but this was a minor issue and I would definitely recommend Goodtime as a great place to stay.

Wonderful house with great service!”
we stayed for 3 nights, and it was great! the best part was the closest beach--always empty, so picturesque. the house itself was really nice too, with a fantastic deck with a gorgeous view. the staff was so helpful with everything, breakfast was always delicious (they even had real coffee!!!), and it was an all-around pleasant stay. i didn't know this about koh mak until i got there, but this is very important: there are no atms or currency exchange places on the island! (yes, it really is that small) there is a man that i was able to exchange usd with, but that was it! so just be prepared for this! goodtime resort is a great place to stay!

Beautiful Place with charm and positiv character”
This was the perfect place to relax and still feel the Thai atmosphere, even you are on a small island like Koh Mak. Both, the resort and the island really touched us. This is our new place in Thailand. The mangement is German and you can see this latest at breakfst. German dark, healthy and delicious bread. Clean rooms and our tranfer was very well organized. The house was bigger then we ever expected and very private. Nice garden and charming (but small) pool.

The location is Great. The beach is long and lonely,great for relaxing. The room is excellent! You have a great view of the sea from the room. Good service and good food. Price are not over charge. Good place for relax. It was good time at koh mak.

Our favourite place on the island”
the resort is on top of the hill which is in between the 2 sides of the island where they both have very nice beach, and we are very glad we stayed at good time because we had easy access to both beaches, which means we could walk down to one beach for the sunset and walk to the other for moon bathing at night! the resort was very green and spacious, had a lovely reception/restaurant building which overlooked the ocean and some islands. we loved having the german standard breakfast there every morning. our room, the thai teak house was very cosy and clean with large balcony and modern bathroom. another prop to add to this place is there is a very friendly and convenient local restaurant/mini mart right next door to the resort. we were there during the low season when many shops and restaurants were closed, so it was very good to have them there. they also do laundry service which the resort doesn't do. there is also a hotel opposite to good time on top of the hill which has a restaurant with great view. the rooms looked boring so we didn't want to stay there, but it's definitely worth going there for a romantic dinner or drinks. we loved good time, we ended up extending 4 more nights there!

Beautiful accommodation & surroundings”
We stayed here on 2 occasions, and both times the accommodation was very spacious and beautifully furnished. We have a 9 and 11 year old who loved the swimming pool, the swings, the grounds, and the playroom. Owners were very welcoming, assisted with onward travel arrangements. Breakfast was good, as were other meals. Gardens are beautiful, its a really quiet relaxed atmosphere and central location is great. Its a maximum of 10 minutes walking slowly to 2 beaches, we preferred the one on the north by Koh Mak resort as it was kept very clean. Highly recommended.

Great Little Teak House”
We loved staying in our little teak house. We had a lovely private patio and were near to the pool and the side entrance to the property. Our house was comfortable and clean and was cleaned daily. The decor is lovely. The hot water works as does the ac. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The layout of the houses ensures privacy. Good Time resort picked us up from the pier and drove us up the hill to the resort. breakfasts were generally good. We didn't eat at the restaurant so can't comment on that. The only down side was that Good Time is not right on the beach. However it is only about 150m from the one main beach and 300m from the other. The main part of the "village" is also only about 150m from the resort and there is a good selection of restaurants, motorbike and bicycle rentals, laundry service and shops nearby. We had problems with wifi reception in our house, but managed to log on in the restaurant and at the pool. Wifi connections on the whole island are a bit unreliable anyway.

Great owner and staff”
We stayed 2 nights at the good time resort which was 2 good nights on koh mak. Great manager and owner who were friendly and helpful. Resort is on a hill between 2 beaches which is great for catching both. Nice pool to dip into after the sea to cool down.
