This hotel is amazingly meticulous since arriving in the basement, going through elevator, checking in at the lobby and eventually the room (including shower room). Fitness room is clean and tidy where equipments work fine and rare hotel facility (Sauna) is also available. Various menu (local and western) is available upon "high quality" breakfast. I left something inside the fridge in the room, the staff traced me to inform and help me to arrange pick up service. Thank you Gran Mahakam!

Best baby-friendly hotel with good preventive measures for COVID”
I stayed at the Gran Mahakam for two nights to attend a close relative's wedding. I brought my 7.5 month old baby and requested baby care for my Junior Suite room. The management team provided a large and clean baby cot, along with bedding set (bolsters, pillows, blankets), baby chair (although it's too big for my baby), and the most interesting thing was... THERE'S AN AIR PURIFIER IN THE ROOM <3. I also asked for in-room breakfast as I couldn't leave my baby alone. Moreover I didn't expect this but the cleaning staff washed my baby's cutlery and bottles and I really appreciate him for that. The list goes on and on, and I highly recommend this hotel for couples with kids. You will never regret your decision to stay at the Gran Mahakam.

Friendly staff, very clean and good size room, fantastic bed. Breakfast had a good mix of American, Japanese and Indonesian food. Lobby had nice Christmas decorations. Piol atea was nice with a great view of South Jakarta. Only two minute walk to Block M mall and lots of restaurants in the area.

Strategically located at the center of hawkers and shopping areas. Check in and out is efficient, rooms are impeccably clean and comfortable. I know the hotel is old but not a sign of it. Superb staff and food, too.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in”
The decor is beautiful, the staff were kind and friendly. The pool on the 6th floor has a great view of Jakarta. Amazing experience, wish we stayed here for longer!

Gran Mahakam means homely deco with hospitable and welcoming staff always trying to be helpful. Comfy bed n pillows, it smells nice and looks clean everywhere. Breakfast spread is huge n very tasty and the menu changes everyday. The location near blok M is ideal to experience Jakarta life. We’ll never stay elsewhere when we come to Jakarta

I stayed for 2 nights and can confidently say this is one of the better hotels in Jakarta. Firstly, the staff are exceptional; all of them; from the security, concierge, front desk, housekeeping and restaurant; they are professional, polite and overall refined. The decor is classy, the food is of good quality, the facilities are top notch.

Always love staying at this hotel, due to its location, its facilities, and cleanliness. I arrived at 11.30 am just to drop off my bag, as I needed to catch the MRT at the Blok M Plaza station (which is a 5-minute walk from the hotel). The staff allowed me to check in early as my room had been prepared. The breakfast selection was great, despite a minor mishap on the salad. However, it was mitigated instantly by the team.

We booked a Basic deluxe room in a hurry which are the lowest price option at the time, and eventually got upgraded to the huge 2-story Executive Suite room upon Check-in and the in-room breakfast was yum !
