Dear San Franciscan, My trip this time landed us to Bangkok. My parents are a frequent at this hotel. I choose the 3 beds this time and oh boy they are very spacious room. This hotel is very old, the shower room is rather small and the water kinda sprayed everywhere, despite this is the better hotel in Yaowarat. The cleaning lady is super friendly. Chinatown is literally a few blocks away. If you like quite room, ask for higher floor or pay more for higher floor. From hotel you can walk or use Grab car service. Hotel also have hotel Taxi service but they ask so much more. You can go hail a cab but do a price check with GRAB apps and negotiate ( when they give you crazy #s) There’s mall inside the hotel in case you want to buy souvenirs. We also dine at the lobby restaurant, very good and clean. Starbucks closed at 10 pm, very convenient. It’s about 20-25 mins walk to Raan Jay Fai and Pad Samai Rest, or 6 mins drive (no traffic). New Years Countdown room”
The Hotel is very Chinese old style of course as it is located in the center of China Town Bangkok. The Room was clean and in order. We saw some photos of Nescafe Dolce Gusto Coffee Capsule machine in the room so we brought our favorite Starbucks capsules. But that seems to have only been in the marketing photos. Luckily there was a starbucks stop in the lobby. The only negative comment we may have it that Jan 1st breakfast was not what we expected from a high rise hotel. It was just some rice with water and very few other Chinese things to eat. If you go to this hotel get the room for sure but do not buy the Breakfast in advance during booking. Wait and see it in the morning then decide. This maybe because on Jan 1st they may have thought everyone will sleep late and not be eating breakfast. HAPPY NEW YEARS!

Great Location, Very Good Hotel”
I am here during covid so getting great pricing. That being said, it is a very nice hotel in a perfect location for Chinatown and much of Bangkok. MRT is a 5-7 minute walk, the river is 10-12 minutes and Chinatown is right out the door. There is a small rooftop pool with a great view, rooftop bar and the 360 Revolving restaurant. Nice workout room/gym too. Staff is very professional. One minor issue is shortage of electric outlets in the room for the modern world. Workable but a little dated. I have stayed here twice and next visit to Bangkok I will be staying here again. Also, very quiet in the rooms.

Me and my wife booked for a one night stay at Grand China Hotel. We weren't expecting that much since we book a normal deluxe room. Then upon check-in, our rooms were upgraded to a suite. The hotel room was well maintained and the buffet breakfast composed of western and thai-chinese dishes. Hotel location also was near Samphaeng market, nearby tesco supermaket, lots of street foods as well. In the ground floor of Grand China Hotel have Starbucks and a small chinese restaurant. Their Claypot rice Salmon was very delicious and they also serve dimsums. We will surely book this hotel again if we come and visit Yaowarat.

Staff are very kind and professional, view from the room and from the skybar is amazing. Beds are comfortable, superior room size is good. The breakfast is good as a 4star hotel, wide choice, good quality . Location is perfect!

The landmark is very close, gift Shop Market, Sampeng Market, Chaina town, India Market, In the daytime, walking for shopping and in the evening, looking for dinner, walking street food. I have been here for the 3rd time. This time at 5 am, I will smell food in the room So I had to turn off the air conditioner. .... I want the hotel to fix this part because they like it here, suitable for relaxing and quiet work in the room

Strongly recommend this place for family with 2 children. My room comes with 2 toilets, 1 king bed, 2 beds and nice view. Restaurant has really good food, perfect location and free boat rides
