Lovely place, awesome staff, great food!”
The Green Village Homestay is a wonderful place, particularly if you like the countryside. After almost 3 weeks in buzzling cities, we were fed up with the stressful traffic and that would have been the case in Can Tho. Therefore we were more than happy to stay in the Bamboo bungalows of Thy and her family. The staff (Thy's houskeeper and her husband) were also so kind and lovely. Despite they don't speak any english, we got along quite well and they were very kind and attentive. And Thy herself does not only speak english fluently but also really took care of us. She arranged the taxi pick-up at the airport, offered a boat tour to the floating market and to a farm where you can eat typical barbeque, and when we had to leave she organized a taxi and also made a reservation for the bus to Ho Chi Minh City. The garden and the bungalows were so cute and spread natural flair! Of course you can not expect aircon or a huge bathroom. But still this was the most special and cutest place on our whole trip! Also the bike trips in the surrondings which we made on our own with the bikes of the homestay were really nice and the people were so friendly. To sum up: definitively recommended for those who love the countryside!

The highlight of our time in Vietnam! ”
It's difficult to put into words how amazing our stay at the Green Village Homestay was. We decided to stay an extra 2 nights and finish our time in Vietnam there, it was the perfect end to our trip. The staff did everything to make it an unforgettable experience for us, the housekeeper even took us out for breakfast on our last day, because of the length of our stay. We borrowed the bikes almost every day and cycled around the village and along the canals. One day we did the floating market tour and another day we did a boat trip along the Mekong, both are an absolute must if you have the time. Green Village Homestay is the perfect place to relax and unwind and explore the Mekong the real rural Vietnamese way. Breakfast and dinner are both included and dinner was different every night, one night we even made our own fresh Spring rolls. If you're planning a trip to the Mekong, you absolutely have to stay here, it was fantastic !

Highlight of our trip”
Just fantastic! Thy (pronounced Tea), her family and the wonderful housekeepers made out stay here unforgettable. They embraced us with such love and warmth and we had some truly great laughs together. The food is just incredible, dish after dish of exquisite home cooked food that you never get in a normal restaurant. They also taught us how to make fresh spring rolls. The homestay is set deep in the heart of the beautiful Mekong Delta surrounded by rice fields. We felt honoured to experience a slice of real Vietnam. Thy gave us a personal guided tour of the famous floating market, Can Tho town and bicycle rides through villages with a stop off at a local rice noodle factory (4 workers!). A truly wonderful place to get away from it all, wind down, recharge your batteries and to experience a traditional way of life. This is the Vietnam that we travellers dream of but seldom see. We left knowing we had made friends for life.

Family stay 2 to 4 January 2015”
We had a wonderful time after the frenetic pace of Ho Chi Minh and we all loved the peace and solitude of the location. The staff were fantastic as was the food they prepared. We had a wonderful experience on free bike rides around local villages and the river tour to the floating market with guide Phoenix was one of the highlights of our entire holiday in Vietnam. She was wonderful with our younger children. Accommodation is as advertised and our son loved swinging in one of the hammocks, catching up on the free internet, especially after the crazy scooterness of Ho Chi Minh. Definitely recommended and note there is an airport at Can Tho (we used buses)

Charming, tasty and comfortable ”
We had two lovely days at Green Village Homestay. Much more comfortable than we imagined, the gorgeous bamboo huts were fully equipped with minibar and hairdryer. The hosts Thi and her lovely husband are welcoming and are so conscientious about making your stay comfortable. Han was a great tour guide to the floating market and gardens. Don't let the simplicity of breakfast and lunch put you off of ordering dinner - some of the best food we had in Vietnam.

Amazing experience with very friendly people”
We had a wonderful stay at the Green Village Tea the host and the two Thieu's (housekeepers) were just so welcoming, funny and a pleasure to stay with. The huts are beautifully designed, clean and comfortable. Tea couldn't have been more helpful and informative. Overall we had a very relaxing and memorable experience of the Mekong Delta and I would strongly recommend it.

Awesome Homestay near Can Tho”
This beautiful place is located about 10 km from Can Tho. We arrived be mototaxi, and even though we were constantly speaking with Tea and one of her cousin, the taxi got lost for about 15 minutes, but two of our host cousins (who also work as tour guides) came to our rescue! We enjoyed good lunch and a delicious Vietnamese dinner. Tour organized by the Homestay are perfect and good value and you get to go with of Tea's cousin. We headed to the floating market with Phenix and loved the trip so much that we asked him to organize a night out in town which was a lot of fun! Great place to stay, minutes from the busy streets of Can Tho were you can mingle with Tea and her extended family!

Lovely”
A great little homestay in the middle of rice paddies and market gardens a few kilometres from the centre of Can Tho. Well run by Thy who speaks excellent English and her cheery housekeeper and family. Excellent tours arranged with knowledgable students as guides, especially a wonderful night tour of the street food of Can Tho and early morning at the floating market. Unmissable!

Very interesting experience, wonderful host”
We love the place so much, it is so peaceful, right in the middle of a village. It's very green, breezy and airy. We loved cycling around the village with the bicycles provided. Thy, the owner is an exceptional woman. She is so nice, helpful and she tries to accommodate her guests in the best ways she can. We had good time talking to her and knowing more about the place. There are two dogs and one cat at the homestay and they stole our hearts completely! We would definitely come back and recommend this place.

Great getaway, close to nature, great to experience village life”
I chose this place as I was looking for a place to stay that is not in the city and I wanted to experience village life. This was the perfect place. It was clean, love the hammocks outside our room, the food was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. We borrowed the bicycles and rode around the village. We also went on the floating market tour, good english speaking guide, love that our tour group was a small group of four only unlike the other big tour groups that we saw. Highly recommend!

Quiet homestay in the countryside”
We loved the staff here. Tee and her husband Sie were gracious hosts, wonderful tour guides and just sweet people. This homestay is located away from a major village but bicycles are available for excursions through small local villages where everyone greets you and the children yell hello as you pass by. The food prepared by Tao was amazing, delicious local style: grilled fish, salads, soups and was plentiful. We loved the dinners, chatting with other travelers. Tee took us to the floating market, local restaurants and a place that had grilled delicacies like frog, field rat and snake. She made our stay here even more special.

Amazing stay! It's the staff that makes it. ”
Our stay was just amazing. We did so much in just one night! We took out the small wooden boats on our own into the Mekong delta!! There are endless fields to wander through. Filled with papayas trees which your allowed to pick and eat. We took bikes out right before dinner and cruised around the quaint village. Then it was dinner time. I helped gut the fish for dinner(first time) and it was surprisingly fun! The next morning we woke up early to do the Mekong delta tour m. I cannot say enough good things about this. The guide is amazing she speaks Great english and you get to have a very local experience. Unlike the huge tour boats out there you will see. She takes you to the floating market and then to a fruit plantation and gives you a lot of history on the area. The driver of the boat and my fellow fish killer cousin not have been sweeter. All around amazing place!! There are hammocks placed all around this property pall of them overlooking the rice pattys. Breathtaking. There are only a few bungalows so it will never feel busy there. The dinner they make evey night is amazing and you will feel right at home. We didn't want to leave.

More than we expected. ”
We didn't realize that we would be so well cared for. We had a sweet, simple room with shower. We were served a lovely lunch. (Instead of dinner, so was part of room fee). All details for an early morning trip to the floating market were arranged. Our trip back to HCMC was arranged. The staff were all delightful and eager to please. Great countryside, bamboo garden, village down the road. Superb value. Better than staying in town, which we did see one evening. Not that interesting in comparison.

Good place to chill”
Best thing about this place is the and the local area. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. They have a number of tours but are not pushy. I had done similar ones before so didn't go on any but other guests said they had enjoyed them. I think I will go back when the weather is better. - Of course , the Green Village can't do much about that.
