A Hotel with potential”

Overall we are pleased with this hotel. We have subsequently learned that we paid too much when we booked our trip around Ha Long Bay through the hotel manager. In addition, the view is not quite what we expected, we thought we would see more of the ocean. It was, however, foggy during our stay. The area the hotel is located is by the bay. Perhaps it was the low season when we were there because all the restaurants were empty and we saw very few tourists (which could be seen as a good thing). The room was clean and the bathroom was large. The staff is friendly and helpful. The price for the room may have been a bit too much compared to what you can get in general for this price in Vietnam. We're still pretty satisfied though, would recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel, good location”

The hotel is situated near the Halong Harbour. 8 mins drive from the hotel or 30 mins walk. The hotel is quite new. The room was spacious, facing seaview, comfortable bed, clean toilet, basic amenities, flat screen tv, free wifi. The staffs speak very minimal English. Across the road is the huge nite market, with trendy restaurants. Nearby also has plenty of cheaper local cafes and restaurants.

Spacious room”

we came in fall so not much body at hotel for trip. my family has 2 rooms with 2 level different: 4 and 6. we choose the sea view room so we can see the ha long bay view at dawn and twilight. the location near by the beach, we just crossed and come the beach, the opposite of this one has a good coffe shop which is good taste coffee i think, because i try another one. walking a couple step we can see the night market at ha long, goods is very cheap and you need to make a bargain. for meals, i think you can come to hong hanh restaurant nearby there around 1 km, i think it is reasonble price and good taste. do not try "phuong vi restaurant" which is next door of hotel, it is auwful food and waiter. and also do not have any mention from motocyle taxi for meals. you can also come to hon gai for sea food at hong dam restaurant, please do not order a lot of food, just a litte bit dishes for your member, because my family has 4 persons and order alot of food then we cannot have end of dishes, we have packaged fish gruel and a part of fish. for this dinner, we paid around 1.500.000vnd. actually this price is not cheap but reasonable in tourism area.

"Hate the Noise"”

I stayed in this hotel 2 nights. The lack of English Staff made the stay unpleasant. I booked a Sea View Room, yes i can see the sea but not "Nice View" at all, i think is due to the construction site which they are building something. Eden hotel is just by the main road, yes is easy to access to the night market and many of the seafood restaurants. I really can't stand the loud horn from the bikes and cars passing by this road. I am a light sleeper and i am half the time awaken by all this noises even i am staying on the 9th floor. Poor Free WIFI, they really need lots of improvement. The only thing is the cleanliness and the amenities in the room are fine.

Lovely room, ok staff, very pushy”

My friend and I stayed here as our stop over in Ha Long on our bicycle tour across SE Asia. We had ridden 150km from Hanoi and arrived clearly very exhausted.. before we were even able to get our bags off of our bicycles a gentleman from the hotel came over and began spitting all kinds of touts for boat tours and whatever nonsense people do there. Very pushy and tactless. Other than that the hotel was nice and clean. We had a sea view on the 10th floor with a balcony (worth the extra $3) but if you're not going to Ha Long for a boat tour I HIGHLY recommend skipping this town completely as there's nothing to do and it's expensive. Had we arrived earlier in the day we'd have gone straight to Cat Ba which is a lovely, sleepy little town. Much less expensive and great value for the money with a less touristy vibe. But if you have to stay in Ha Long, this hotel is nice and I gather on the less expensive side.

Our stay was pleasant,room at the front of hotel gave us a great view of Ha Long Bay Rooms were clean & comfortable Staff were helpfull but have limited English. Breakfast is basic but OK

The hotel is well located”

The holiday room we got was decent but had a worn out feel to it on everything. Like the bathrobes.... They were almost gross.and the towels were old looking, thin, and greyish, dusty switches and edges. I thought "you get what you pay for"...... But decided to give it a go. You should not expect a spotless clean nice boutique hotel with great amenities when you pay this much by looking at the reviews from here... which I did. It's an average budget hotel with friendly staffs in a good location. If that's what you want, this is not a bad choice but don't expect a beautiful boutique hotel. I'd spend a little more to stay in a little better place next time if I ever make it back to Hanoi. I should still thank to the nice staffs that tried to help when they can though. thanks

Sea views and great location”

Stayed here for two nights in February. Was a large clean room, ensuite, TV, safe deposit box etc. reception staff where polite and helpful and also arranged tours and bus transfers. Would recommend, was around per night so reasonably priced in my opinion.

Good Room facilities”

A newly built hotel, good room facilities as showed in the Agoda website, the price is reasonable. The only thing I didn't like about it is a noisy construction site beside. They worked overnight and made a lot of noise, which kept us from staying awake. I hope next year, the condition will be improved when the building construction is finished

Quiet hotel”

This is a quiet hotel, but noise from the street comes through in the evening when (we assume) people from the nearby cruise ship come onland. The party stops at about 10pm allowing plenty of sleep. Little English was spoken at the desk, but still enough to arrange a taxi to the port on the other side of the bay. Comfy bed and the cleanest bathroom we have had all trip.

Nice hotel ”

The room is small but furniture is good, with a nice view to the sea, we were have a good time in this place. The people at reception is very friendly, we could have any information we need for our trip, about the market, the entertainment place, price for things in market, etc...

Great location”

The room is clean. The hotel is close to the night market, some small food stalls and restaurants, banks and ATMs. Just 5 minutes taxi to the tourist boat station. Minus points: no free water bottled, tea bag or instant coffee. No electric kettle for boiling water, you have to ask the receptionist and then received a thermos flask with full of hot water!

Fake Service”

I don't like staff service from this hotel, they charged me for taxi and bus, don't trust what's lady staffs hotel telling you. Hotel is ok, near market, sea view also good, but I don't like staffs...

comfortable hotel, friendly staff”

the rate is reasonable, the room is clean, spacious and comfortable, we stayed in the room with ocean view. there are free wifi- very excellent connection. many plugpoints to charge all your electrical devices. friendly and helpful staff

nice stay though staff poor english”

it was good since location of the hotel is nearby on the port which where my fiancee work. I love the breezing wind coming from outside. No need to use aircon since climate is too cold. I'll be staying there again for my next visit and for those who planned to take this hotel just expect from hotel a poor english conversation, worst you won't be able to talk to them until your check out.

it was pleasant but nothing special”

it was average. the room was a little cramped for our family of 4. the bathroom shower wasn't sealed so it just leaked everywhere. We understand the asian bathroom where you get everything wet, but why have a western shower if it still overflows into the rest of the bathroom. it was hard with the kids because they tracked water everywhere and got their clothes wet when they went to the bathroom.

Comfort room ”

This hotel is nothing special, it is good to stay.Location quite good and walk to seafood shop within 1 mins.

Pleasent”

Overall good, would be better if the staff could use a little more english. They were friendly. For those who wish to go on the cruise, would suggest they take a walk down to the crusie center (less den 1km) and purchase the ticket themself, can save alot more. Dun worry the guide onboard speak english and chiinese .

Bad service but good location”

Poor service, staff has no good manner, no smile. The room cleanliness was so so. However the location is good.
