Nice staff and good facilities”

Staff is really friendly to help. Room is clean and tidy, the shower is good as well. Hotel facilities is nice, but the open time is too short, only 9-6. Also the location is a bit far from the station and downtown. Overall, it's worthy.

Carlton Hotel”

On the whole a very nice hotel with gym , inside and outside pools-both heated. Worth paying for the sea view room. Easy walking distance to Bournemouth seafront and shops. The only grumble would be the five staff members milling around at breakfast, not being very helpful.

Amazing location, hotel needs update”

The location is very good, next to the beach and not too far from the Bournemouth centre. Nice outdoor and indoor pools, though outdoor pool wasn’t heated while we were visiting. Now, the rooms and hotel facilities are pretty dated, but rooms are spacious. Breakfast was ok. Staff friendly and nice. Hotel does need updating but probably once it’s updated they will charge double the amount

Like loads of hotels in this area it needs Renovating Wallpaper coming of Everything is old Bathroom is depressing Carpet is Gross Towels are old Furniture is broken Breakfast is below average Some stuff was super nice some was bit snobby . Best part is parking and location .

Good”

Stayed at this hotel few days ago . I booked the hotel online for 3 nights for myself, my partner and our 5 year old son. When checking in at hotel i noticed on paperwork occupancy 2 adults so i told the receptionist i booked for 2 adults and one child 5 year old. She said yes that's fine. We get to the room and no bed for little one even though i put the request online for extra bed. So i went to reception and asked about extra bed so that got sorted but the room was quite small. Next thing bathroom not very clean to my standard. Water was sitting in the bath the drainage wasn't working properly, toilet flushing handle loose and you had to wait for at least 8 minutes to flush again after first flush. Overall ok hotel but in desperate need of updating (looks very tired)and I was absolutely mortified to see the state of the toilet in ladies changing room in spa facilities. It was a health hazard....feaces around the seat...discusting!! The staff were very pleasant and helpful though.

Oceanview or carpark view depending on your budget”

We stayed 2 weekend nights in this classic Victorian seaside hotel. To save money we did not choose an expensive oceanfront room but this was evidently a mistake! The room originally assigned was small, overlooking the car park at the back of the building, accessible via a labyrinth of stairs and corridors with no elevator. The unfriendly receptionist told us no other room was available as all guests had already checked in when we arrived at 6 pm. This was clearly untrue as guests were still checking in two hours later. Next morning a much more friendly receptionist moved us to a spacious handicapped-accessible room on the ground floor. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant overlooking the sea were good quality but expensive. On the Sunday morning the dining room was crowded with too few staff, so asking for a refill of coffee took a long time!

Check in is slow. Rooms are outdated and noisy floorboards”

Hotel is nice. Has an outdoor and indoor swimming pool. Breakfast is good, staff that work in the restaurant are hospitable. Checking in took so long - Only one person working behind the check in desk. Floorboards make a lot of noise when you walk around the hallway and even in the hotel room. You can even hear the floorboards above you. Rooms are spacious.

Nice Hotel, comfortable and friendly! Large rooms but slightly in need of updating. Breakfast was very good. Room was large but in need of modernisation. Small TV for such a large room. In room 316 you can hear every footstep that the person in the room above makes, which was annoying. Great view from the front and there is a walkway leading down to the beach as-well as a lift which was not working when we stayed. Overall it was nice, 7/10

Excellent”

Lovely large room looking out to sea. Comfortable bed. Decor a bit dated. Good sized heated outdoor pool. Very good breakfast & dinner. Was impressed that we each had a free drink for not having our towels changed on the 2nd day.

Neither chic or cheap”

Great staff worthy of the 4 star rating the hotel aspires too, however the quality of the accommodation let's down their dedication

Very Good ”

Second time we have stayed here and will are likely to book again soon . Dining room staff not as attentive this time and we did not get individual tea and coffee at our table , We were not asked if we would like anything from the menu

We booked a room with Seaview. It was a big room and had wonderful Seaview from the big Windows. Nice pool and bar. A short stroll to the beach. Staff were friendly and accommodating to all your needs.
