East Cliff Leaves You Hanging”
Would never stay here again! Floors are of timber construction and with a rugby team in the hotel we had zero sleep for three consecutive nights. The door to the kitchen was filthy intact around the door plate it was black from multiple hands. There was a tray left outside our room for 2 days complete with food remains! It was only removed when I formally complained. Not a hotel for families, cleanliness or facilities as the pool was out of order and you have to go to the adjacent hotel if you want to use a pool..Distinctly different from the advert for the hotel on line. You've been warned AVOID AVOID AVOID...

Lovely spacious family room, with equally large bathroom. ”
Not withstanding the generally very favourable comments given above, it was a pity that the hot water in the bathroom was problematic. It could take several minutes for the hot water to arrive for a bath (or shower) and occasionally would then run cold for a while before the hot arrived again. On one occasion the shower would run cold continuously. Very invigorating but not what l expected first thing in the morning !! In conjunction with the sister hotel next door which offered more extensive leasure facilities - indoor and outdoor heated swimming pool, spa and fitness room etc at no extra cost. Although the spacious lounge bar did offer a reasonably extensive menu, the kitchen facilities seems to be limited with very slow service, at least when we were there - nearly one hour wait which pushes young and hungry children to the limit, and even the adults. Strangely no children’s menu. Only available in the main restaurant in the sister about 100 yard walk away, none at East Cliff.

Pleasantly surprised!”
We stated in 'Grove Suite', room 2218. We did not expect such a room but we were all very pleased with this. The room is huge, and the bed even bigger! Beds very comfy, bathroom nice and clean. Added extras such as ironing board, iron and turbo hairdryer was appreciated. Only snag would be is that the hot water for the shower takes quite a while to come on. We had to leave water running for around 8 mins to get hot. Seems a shame with so much wasted water. Nevertheless- would definitely recommend this hotel . Lovely views from the terrace bar, and we had good use of the pool and jacuzzi next door in the sister hotel. Also, reception and bar staff very nice and accommodating- my little girl was greeted with a 'Princess pack' which was a nice touch on arrival :) We will be visiting again for sure!

2 day Christmas break”
Great location. Swimming pool was in the hotel Nextdoor which is a walk through the car park. Nice hotel with a bit of character. Family room was huge. Would recommend if you get the right price. The outside is a little tired and could do with new windows and painting also just clean the windows would be nice.

The location is this hotel's strongpoint. Personnel are efficient and welcoming.”
The estate is in need of some attention. The pool is out of operation and foliage has collected in it, as well as the environ. Guests can use the pool of the sister hotel next door in fairness. The windows in the room need replacing due to age. Overall, it's an acceptable hotel with a superb location. I'd prefer free parking as a paying guest. With refurbishment, it would be very good. The personnel compensate for the shortcomings with the infrastructure.

Value For Money”
My son and I enjoyed our self, the room was in 3rd floor corner, the beds matters were "bad" needs Replacemt, spring were hurting our back, next day they added thin layer which improved but STILL new matters is a MUST, water pressure in shower is bad, fan in bathroom needs fixing or replacement as it doesn't work, breakfast is "bad" in my openion raise the rate but provide better food, timing for breakfast absolutely awful until 09;30 hrs, NEVER in my traveling experience come a cross such timing, the hotel need to introduce a coffee machine self service and not pot of tea coffee, poor quality stuff. The rate is value for money, 12 minutes walk to town. Maintenance is almost absent in the hotel, maybe better team to be brought in to do major continue fixing.

Having been to the hotel before We were well aware of its great location for. Not only the town and it’s clubs ,restaurants and shops but also short walk to the beach The bar area is really busy nice and food great. You can also use the bar at the distef hotel next door which also has really good leisure facilities We agai. Chose to upgrade to a balcony room with s view of the sea in the morning Something g about the mood of the waves and the sand between your tied that’s good for the soul

Not as good as I hoped”
The staff were very friendly and polite. The room and facilities were all a little past there best, which was disappointing. The mattress was not very comfortable in the room. We had an adjoining door in our room, which was not sound proofed so you could here next door speaking. Breakfast was good, although some more fresh fruit options and bread options would have been nice. The fruit salad was mainly apple. The additional £10 charge for the car park was also alot, considering other hotels offered free parking to their guests in other local hotels. I do not think I would stay again in a Hallmark hotel, after this experience.

Near the beach and also main street. Many hotels with the same name so don't go to the wrong one!”
Generally good hotel with pleasant staff at check-in. Asked if there was a seaview room but unfortunately they were fully booked for the period I was there. The lift seemed a little noisy as it went up and down the levels (time for a little servicing, perhaps?) and there were some stairs that I had to lug my luggage up (within the same level) to get to my room. The room that I got was on the first floor but there was minimal noise coming from the outside. There is no A/C but a fan provided sufficient ventilation. One issue I have would be the thin walls between the rooms. I could hear doors slamming throughout the morning and that provided me with a wake-up call! I booked this hotel initially with the purpose of using the pool, but was a little disappointed when I got there and was informed the pool was closed and I could only use the pool at their sister hotel next door. I wasn't very keen on carrying all my swimming stuff to another hotel to be honest.

Birthday Celebraton”
Enjoyable, but innitially was not given the room we expected. Was sorted eventually, but only because I insisted. At first they tried to make us have a room we had not booked and did not want! Very poor vegetarian choices on menu. Parts of the hotel look 'tired'. In need of refurbishment in places. Would stay again, so long as I was guaranteed the room I had booked and paid for.

Excellent location, but the hotel is really run down ”
This hotel has excellent location. It really doesn’t get any better than this. Rooms are very spacious and clean. The rest of the hotel is in desperate need of the refurbishment- from the swimming pool to the reception and the lift. If you have mobility issues, don’t use this hotel as there plenty of stairs and places you cannot reach by the lift. We were never helped with the suitcases and reception staff were quite unfriendly. Parking will cost you £10 for period of 24h which I found just ridiculous when you already pay quite a bit for the hotel. This hotel really has excellent location and there are no many more benefits apart from that

Average hotel and very hot and stuffy”
The best thing about this hotel is the location, very helpful staff and nice restaurant. Otherwise it a very ordinary hotel. When we first arrived we were given a room that was so hot and stuffy we could not stay in it. Luckily we were upgraded to a cooler and better room. The bed was also better in the superior room compared with the bed in the first room.

Very nice stay at this hotel . Out door pool looks nothing like the picture, hasn’t been touched since last summer or maybe even the summer before! Revolting! But I would stay again. Perfect location who needs a pool when you have such a nice beach.

Pleasant ”
Was good. However, the room was surprisingly tiny. We hardly had any space for our luggage. The price was quite high for the food and stay in my opinion.

Hotel needs upgrading.”
Booked this hotel for Easter weekend. Got the family room on 3rd floor, rooms were spacious and clean. However, it was extremely disappointing to find that the shower didn't work due to extreme low pressure. Provided with alternative single room for shower on first floor which was useful but with the hassle of taking young kids to another room for shower and getting them back to original room to get them ready. Hotel also needs serious upgrading on lifts and carpet which pretty much looked ancient. The swimming pool wasn't appealing as it didn't look clean.
