Nice place”
Room was clean, beds comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. We stayed in the off season and the hotel was not busy at all, and the entire Ha Long area was quite slow. Would certainly stay at Halomoon again and would recommend to others.

Good for short stay”
It’s near to port of cruise for ha long bay, so definitely you can stay here for overnight requirements but not more than that as it’s far away from main city so if want to visit the city then it’s not good option for you.

Ghost Town”
The pictures show this place as a “happening place” but when we came in January it was a ghost town. But it did seem like other hotels completely shut down, so maybe it was a blessing in disguise that they were actually open? We stayed here before getting our ferry over to Cat Ba Island. It was challenging to find a place to eat & breakfast at the place was very basic. The pictures of our hotel room showed a couch and nice amenities, but when we arrived there was no couch, lamp was not even on the nightstand because the cord didn’t reach & just seemed very basic.

Friendly Staff & Good Location.”
Decent hotel and good view of the room and we stayed for only 1 night to board the cruise in the next morning after arriving by sleeper bus at midnight. Toilet bowl malfunction and cannot flush ... need to wait until next morning to use the toilet next door. Everything else average ... nothing to shout out for.

Empty hotel”
We were the only guest in not just the hotel but the whole area. Almost felt like a haunted hotel. Staff are polite and good, the breakfast is not friendly for westerners.

At Tuan Chau Terminal”
Ferry arrives here and we caught a 5hr tour from this location. We had a western and Vietnamese breakfast with tea. Our room had a connecting balcony and without other guests, we had a view of the spectacular limestone pillars all to ourselves.

Extremely beautiful and spacious room”
Good: Extremely spacious room and bathroom. I think halong Bay is just starting to welcome tourist back after covid so the occupancy rate is quite low at the moment, or it's not their holiday period yet, so everywhere is quiet. Breakfast is not buffet spread but is prepared upon your arrival at the restaurant area- 2 choices to choose. Can choose between Toast and Egg or Pho. Bad: Almost at the extreme end of the harbour. Very near to the beach. Not a good location to find a taxi. Was not able to find any Grab taxis at all for 2 days straight and had to resort to rent a manual motorbike from the hotel. 200k for about 6 hrs including fuel ; can get way much cheaper bikes outside. However, the staff was nice and taught us how to ride a manual bike on the spot. Can walk to the nearby Harbour centre to get taxis in the day. Good location if you are going for a cruise that has pickup nearby.

Hotel with amazing view of Ha Long Bay”
I enjoyed my stay. It is a beautiful place with view of the bay from the room. The staff is friendly and caring. My advice is to pick mid to high peak time to go. This hotel is on Tuan Chau island and it is a resort town. It would have been vibrant if it is high season. I booked 4 nights to unwind but got discouraged when I arrived because it is so remote with nothing nearby that is open (due to low season - literally felt like a deserted island!). If you rent this place, make sure you are up for long walk to town or rent motorbike but definitely offers tranquility and view!

Staff offered free upgrade with spacious room and bed, nice view! And staff offered friendly advice. Only downside is the location, near to harbour but need to rent a scooter to get to halong island which is about 20 to 30mins away (about 250vnd for a day)

1) great starting point for Ha Long cruises and Cat Ba excursion 2) spacious room, big shower, all amenities available - in general really good standard for the price 3) out of season - post-apocaliptic atmosphere, you have the whole island to yourself (artificial beach included) 4) helpful staff

I don't know why you would stay in the harbour for very long. But if you do stay there, this is a wonderful hotel. The rooms a beautiful, bed is comfortable. Staff is super helpful. Breakfast in the morning is very basic though...

The rooms are clean and a good size. Problem is there is nothing to do in the area. Limited shops. had to get taxis into halong to get food and a beer. I would pay the extra to be closer to town at least within walking distance of diners and shops.

It's a remote area of Ha Long”
The view from window is exactly as pictured. But there are some disadvantages. 1) it's precicely in the middle of nowhere. There is a very very limited amount of restaurants nearby 2) for the breakfast you have only one dish you can't choose. on first day it was Pho, on second Bun Cha 3) there is a construction ongoing just in the front of your window. they work all day, even on sundays. on 26th of september 2002 they were piling fundations, you can be sure at 6:30AM it's not what you expect on holiday.

There are many tourists who like this area because they getting more comfortable , enjoy every single moment . They can swimming and walking on the beach and seeing the sunrise or sunset , if they want to visited Ha long bay by boat to easy because Halomoon Hotel is very near Tuần chau international ship port . There are not may foreigner visitor come to visit Ha Long bay , due influence of the Epidemic so there is limited amount of restaurant nearby . hope you come back again in future .
