Exceptional”
We planned to spend 2 nights at Halona Hotel, but loved the island and our accommodation so much that we stayed one more night. During this time we met a super-helpful, flexible, lovely staff. Not only some staff members speak in English really well, but they can suggest you programs, locations and transfers for a very reasonable price. This made the organization of our stay so much easier. We could rent motorbikes on the spot. Our rooms were nice and well equipped. Trying the strong and delicious coffee is a must! :)

About 1km to Dinh Cäu beach where the expensive Seashell resort is located. ”
For convenience of direct beach front, you’d pay from 2M+ dong to 12Mdong. This price is out of my reach. So I pay 0.4 to 0.5Mdong. When I need to go to the beach I just about about 1 km and stop to have food and coffee along the line. More bang for your buck in Hanola. Besides it has a beautiful garden and lots of trees.

Walk through a Vietnam market (non-tourist, think meat and fish) for about 20mins to get to night market area, other than that was absolutely perfect, rooms nice and clean

Lovely staff, clean, great price”
Great hotel especially for the price, nice respite from a busy place. Slightly away from the main beach, nearest clean beach (Long beach) is about 30 mins walk but would recommend hiring a scooter from the hotel anyway and exploring the other beaches. Great if you want to submerge yourself in the Viatnemese culture as not as many tourists there.

If you need an affordable place to stay, Halona is one of the best places. Only 10 minutes ride to the center, rooms are clean, staffs are welcoming. Overall, happy with my stay.

I was staying 2night in halona hotel "205" room number . The airconditional was licking and the fridge is making noise in midnight . And bathroom has no shower gel and heater . Alots of mosquito in the room . The stuff is nice but not helpful . And they charge me about 100k Dong for the mineral water which is few bottles that I have drink ?! It don't make sense , a hotel didn't provide drinking water for customer. And the walking distance is far from Night market , it takes about 20mins walk to there . Please think twice if youre budget traveler , choose better hotel than this .

The place is cheap yes however you think the water is free but its not, they scam you with the scooter rentals, its not a 24 hour rental that you are paying a high price as it is for rentals. My wife and I live in Ho Chi Minh city and I can tell you that the going rate is 100 k vnd per day. Every night you will have 100 mosquittos in your room. Somehow they get in all the time. No matter how many you kill there is 100 more. They were having a loud karaokee night until 1 am the staff and owners one night and kept the whole hotel awake. Far from the beach, night market and anything worth seeing in Phu Quoc.

A Place so noisy and tight”
I have a trip with my wife at Phú quốc and i booked it hotel 2 days 1 night. First, Space very tight, You can see a big truck at front gate and it always stand there full day. Second, Man Staff is kindly but Girl staff with attitude so bad. Third, Almost customer to there is Vietnamese and they book by tour with Car 50 seat. They can at there to karaoke, drink beer... So that space always noisy. Finally, i will not book it room again.

Cozy hotel”
I spent 3 nights at Halona hotel. The room I booked was clean, large and comfortable. The staffs here are nice, he showed me where and how I can do in Phu Quoc with the cheapest and best services I think. The location is near Dương Dong Market and it takes 5 minutes to get to Dinh Cau night market, pretty good location. By the ways, there's a grocery store next to this hotel, I can buy anything I need.

Almost perfect”
This's the first time coming to Phu Quoc Island with my family. Everything is strange, I know nothing but some information in the Internet. This hotel belongs to a family. The son and his wife take care of room booking and services, his mother cooks for guests, and she did it very well, her seafood was delicious. The son had been a vice-president of a tourist company at Phu Quoc Island, so he knew anything we need for our holiday, he sent us a tour guild-driver working at his former company in order to drive for my family. This driver's really great too, and I think he could be a really tour guild, he completely knew everything in that island. I think it's destiny for my family to meet them, and of course I will come back here as soon as possible.

We stayed at halona hotel for 4 days and I have to say that was the kindest staff I ever met in Vietnam. Trung and his wife run a nice, clean and comfortable hotel and were more than helpful with advices, recommendations and personal care! The hotel is close to the market what makes it easy to buy daily food and stuff, also the night market is easy to reach by foot or a short ride by motorcycle or taxi. A nice and comfortable place to stay”
This is a family-owned hotel with 20 rooms which are acceptably equipped and very clean. Though its facilities are not very luxurious and the restroom are not very spacious, it can still make guests feel comfortable and relaxed while staying there. Very good services are provided by a team of staff who are mostly the family members. They are so nice, warm, friendly and supportive. Only smiles appearing on their faces while serving the guests. Especially, the receptionist who is the eldest son of the family is extremely nice and enthusiastic in helping us arrange some interesting tours on the island (places to visit, means of transport and some useful tips while travelling there, etc.). Moreover, the Mother is the best cook who was delivering us very delicious and fresh sea-foods in a caring and nice manner. In the future, if any of my friends or relatives have a plan travel to Phu Quoc, I will recommend Halona Hotel to them because this is a nice and comfortable place to stay.

The Lovliest Hotel in Vietnam! ”
My boyfriend and I had originally booked two nights here and ended up staying for a week. During our two-month Vietnam trip this hotel has by far been our favorite. After missing our flight to Phu Quoc (and subsequently our first night's stay) the owner gave us an extra day for free since we didn't use the room we had reserved on the first night. He also upgraded us to a nicer room so we could be "more comfortable" after a stressful few days of travel. This is true Vietnamese hospitality. Not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES the owner and his family invited us to join them for dinner, drinks and tons of laughs. Their family is so kind and welcoming that we felt like we were staying in a home rather than a hotel. As for the rooms everything is brand new (the hotel has only been open three months) and absolutely spotless. The beds are comfy and firm, air-con can get super cold, and the water is hot! We also rented a fantastic motorbike from them for the week. The surrounding area is great for travelers like us who like to get off the touristy path. Surrounding the hotel is a great local market, lots of tasty street food, and a minute motorbike ride into the main town/night market! We wish we could've stayed longer and will definitely return on our next trip to Phu Quoc!

This hotel is new building, there are a big yard with tree and flowers. The room is new and clean although toilet is small. The staffs are very friendly. We can go Duong Dong Market and Phu quoc night market by walk.

So Nice People ”
We are a family of five. Three kids at 20, 18 and 6. Was looking for a cheap and nice city stay in Doung Dong. Halona is a perfect choice. Completely new and shining. Nice rooms. And a VERY welcoming and friendly owner. Halona is situated just beside the chaotic fish and meat market. Those five minutes walk through it, is a journey in it self. And you can find the cosy beach, harbour and night market in 20 minutes walk from Halona. Very nice. Halona don't serve breakfast but you can either buy som stuff in nearby shops or walk to restaurant Buddy in 15 minutes. Great breakfast and coffee. Just a great place. Rene

We have been 2 days here. Hotel's owner very friendly with the guests. We also feel comfortable stay here, the room is ok, clean. Hotel near Phu Quoc night market, but seem far to the centre. Noted: If u want to book tour to the island, u don't book through the hotel, u'll be charged higher prices.

This hotel is located quite near the center of Phu Quoc. The staffs are very helpful, they help us to find amazing places to visit. Definitely gonna stay in Halona hotel next time I get here.
