Find hotels near Ham Ninh in Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam

We just planned 1-day stay for shooting wedding photos around the area of Ham Ninh fishing village. We chose Wildland Resort as it is the only available resort around this area. The road from airport to the Resort was quite challenging as it is rainy season, and the road was just full of soil and mud. A little of disappointment appeared in my head. However, when arriving to the Resort, I was informed by Mai Linh tax driver that the Resort has signed contract with Mai Linh taxi for complimentary airport pick-up: 1 point for Wildland. The most unexpected and interesting thing is that the scene of the beach in front of the Wildland Resort is amazing. This is the second time I come to Phu Quoc, and when discovering the beautiful scene of the beach in front of Wildland Resort, I know that I made the right choice unexpectedly, and I cancelled the plan to take the photos at Bai Sao beach, or other places, but to spend the time here. The staff, some from Hanoi, are very nice and helpful. When staying in such a "middle of nowhere" resort, you do not have any choice but to eating at the resort. I thought it will be very expensive. But no, the food is cheap, really cheap, when it just costs me USD8 for a lunch for two. The dishes are simple, but the chef is good: I got good appetite there. When I check out to head to another resort for photo shooting at another place, they still offer to give me a ride to the city. They said that they have free airport pickup/drop off for guest, but I do not go the airport, then they will drop me to the city centre, from where I can easily go to my location: Wonderful. Lastly, the Resort worths every single dollar you spend. Recommend for any one who loves quite places, with beautiful beach scene for photo shooting.

Our stay in the Bungalows was one of the nicest experiences of our Vietnam holiday. Owner with his family made out of our holiday memorable occasion. The place is quiet with a lot of space around bungalows, swimming pool or bar so you are not stressed by other guests. But you can easily interact with all of them if you want. It is enough small to get to know with everybody but enough private to make you fell you are there alone. Owner rented us good motorbikes when we needed so it is easy to reach any place on the island from there. Paul - the owner wit his family offers very nice place to stay. They are very friendly and that gives you very good feeling and experience out of your holiday. Bonus is that Paul is butcher and has delicious bacon, ham, sausages, etc. on the menu :-) Would definitely go again.

What a great find this was. We were looking for something away from the increasingly built up and touristy parts of Phu Quoc Island. We spent four nights here in December, including over new year, on a quest to chill out and relax. This is a lovely, locally run hotel, with spectacular views and lovely, friendly staff. The room we stayed in was spotless as was the rest of the resort. From our balcony we had uninterrupted views of the water. Getting to the resort will be a challenge for a while to come as major road works are happening and will be for some time. As we jumped and bumped along the road, still very chewed up and muddy from the typhoon rains, I was having second thoughts about this choice. But on arrival my doubts quickly dissipated. The views were amazing in this quiet, out of the way place and the staff were super friendly. There's a lovely pool overlooking the ocean, and a very special jetty that gives you a chance to walk out over the water. We loved it!

Stayed here for 5 days. The owner is very friendly and is able to arrange many customized tours around and on the island. Definitely go for the hike to the birds view spot. Rooms don't have airco but the vans were good enough for us. The scooters he rents are the best ones we had in Vietnam. Only less favorable thing about the place is that it is far away from the night life and busy night markets. Though the roads to get back from there are pretty good, driving in the night is not recommended. A taxi is at most 150 VND and provides you a way better ride.

The girls that ran this place were great. Helpful, kind and made wonderful food. Location was good if looking for a quieter setting. Easy to rent motorbikes from them and scoot around. The food was excellent and I would stay here again. Beautiful place to watch the sunrise as well!

A fantastic 4 night stay! We wished it could've been longer. The host family is incredible and we loved spending our evening dinners with them. We even grew attached to the 3 dogs (and new litter of puppies)!! The property is beautiful and the bungalows are clean and comfortable. No AC, but we never found it to be a problem, as the ocean breeze maintains a nice temperature. The food is amazing and very reasonably priced. Wifi was recently installed and it is fast and reliable. The resort is situated along a quiet beach, making this a great location to get away from the busy tourist areas (the island is best explored by motorbike, which can be rented from the resort). Not the ideal place for those who need 5-star luxuries like a full service spa and satellite TV... But if you want to get off the beaten path to relax and explore Phu Quoc at your own pace, this is the place to stay! Highly recommended!!

Great hotel! you will get a super clean room with fridge/air-con/fan and big private bathroom... definitely worth the money. :) BUT it is far from everything, it is located in a small fisherman's village... the "beach" is awfully dirty and you need to rent a motorbike to get away from here and explore the much nicer places on the island! Nobody speaks English in the village and hotel... so be ready to communicate with gestures. Also, if you get here from the pier be aware that taxi drivers will not want to take you here (we never got why).. we had to walk away from the pier with our heavy bags and find a driver in the middle of nowhere... and he even made us go around the island to get more money (it should have been a very short drive actually).. we ended up paying him a fifth of the price he requested because the route he went was just nonsense... so overall great hotel but i'd forget about it due to its location!

I moved to this property to escape the hustle and bustle of the city area. It's quite a magical place and the staff were really helpful when I needed to book a couple of extra nights. They were also helpful with some free imodium when I had a stomach upset. Also obtained some coconuts especially for me when their stock had run out. The food here is good, but you will pay a little more for it and the convenience of having it onsite, but well worth it. There is good variety and lots of choice. Book well in advance if you want a sea view bungalow, but the pool views and others are good too.

Rooms are big, staff are really friendly & helpful. Basic breakfast. Bigger spread on weekends. Restaurant at the resort but a little expensive. There's a pool and option to go into the sea. Resort is about 30mins taxi ride (300 to 360k vnd) away from town. Limited food options in the area. Nearest restaurant is 10mins walk away. Chillax place away from the bustle of town. If you're looking for a place that is near to everything then this place isn't for you. Good sunrise place. At night can see stars. Comfy bed. Cool aircon. Basic toiletories. Overall we had a pleasant stay thanks to the hospitality of the resort staff. Will definitely stay again.
