The best place to explore Tam Coc is from here. This accommodation is almost in the centar of all of the attractions. With a short bicycle, motor ride you could arrive to almost of all attractions with ease. You will ride trough great landscapes, amazing rise fields, near the lime stones. Accommodation. Beds are comfortable. They have a nice baldahin. Internet is strong. The garden is my favorite. Looks beautiful during day and night. They clean the rooms everyday. Hosts: The girls working here have great english and good sense od humor. They were of much help with information while we were there. Everything they didn't know they found out with great speed. Even found us a transport to another city for a great price. They are one of the reasons why we can't wait to come back again. Food: If you don't want to go out you literary don't have to. Breakfast is great and so is the rest of the manu from the restaurant. The prices are reasonable. With love, Irena and Bojan ♥

Sweet peoples and charming property ”
Property is very clean and huge compared to other homestays. People here are sweet and very generous. They upgraded our room to expensive one without any additional cost. Spent 3 peaceful nights here.

Nice safe convenient place in the country ”
The place was clean and fairly new but rustic. The rooms have AC and mosquito nets but bugs were not bad when we were there. The staff is extremely friendly and certainly quite helpful in directing you to the many local sites. They also arrange transportation at the going rates, not upcharging. Motorbike rental from Ham Rong Homestay is very convenient and about $5 a day. The restaurant on site allows you to never leave their little oasis if you’re feeling lazy. Pool construction going along smoothly and workers were courteous about not making noise. The breakfast is more than adequate and did I mention that folks there are really nice?

Amazing ”
Honestly I was a bit sceptical about the place because of its location but my girlfriend convinced me to book it. I’m really glad we did. The location was great to see all the attractions in the area. The room was one of the best we had in Vietnam so far! We had a double room with garden view or whatever. It was basically brand new and had an amazing bathroom and incredibly comfortable Li g size bed! The staff are really lovely and will help you with anything you need. Highly recommend!!

Clean Rooms, Great Facilities, Helpful Staff, Value for Money”
The location is little away from the main city center but is located near Hang Mua caves. Trang An is about 15m drive away. You can easily rent motorbike or bicycle from Ham Rong. The room is very cosy and clean with all the basic amenities. Breakfast was included and it was really nice. The staff is friendly and helpful and will answer all the queries. The overall property is very earthy, rustic and has lots of plants and trees. I would definitely stay here again in future.

Excellent Service - Prime Location”
Owners are incredibly friendly and willing to go the extra mile for you. The place is close to Mua Cave, about 10 minutes to Trang An, 15 minutes to Tam Coc, 25 minutes to Bai Dinh. Food can be cooked to your oder. Great value for your money.

Near to Mua Caves. Answered any question in Agoda quickly. The only place in VN that willing to provide HALF Day motorbike rental. Most importantly, there is a Pretty, Cheerful, Sweet Smile young lady staff that speak good english in the morning. You will miss her definately.

A bit smelly and without details like soap after long covid closure”
It was't that bad but there were a lot of details that made us sad. Bungalow was smelly from mold a little, there were no soap, inside was shoe with fruit stucked in it full of magots. When we arived in the property owners seemed to ignore us a bit when we arrived. On the otherside most of the staf was smiling at us and we had a great breakfast....and view is nice.

Horrible ”
On arrival I looked around and thought how peaceful it is here, just what I was looking for. How wrong I was! 7.30pm on my first night the next door neighbours were playing super loud karaoke music till about midnight. Next two nights both the homestay and the neighbours hosted large karaoke parties for locals which went till late at night. The music and singing was so insanely loud it was impossible to sleep. The homestay host at no time gave any consideration to the fact there were Westerners staying here and the music just got louder and louder. This is actually a regular party venue for Vietnamese people not what I expected of a homestay at all. I actually stayed three nights because on arrival I immediately booked an extra night but I regretted my decision and was kicking myself. Breakfast was just a pancake and coffee. The building that houses all the rooms is actually made from bamboo and if it caught fire it would burn to the ground in about three minutes. Please note there are no fire or smoke alarms in any of the rooms and there are also no fire extinguishers. If you're coming to Ninh Binh for the first time I would recommend staying somewhere that has a fully functioning restaurant attached, at least that way you will be able to eat something without having to travel too far, but as for the karaoke which seems to have enveloped Ninh Binh and spoilt much of the serenity that I'm sure was here on better days gone by it will just be pot luck as to how you fare. I rarely ever leave negative reviews on any site for anything but this time I have to be brutally honest so others don't waste their time or money. The hosts themselves don't speak English but the guy that does all the communication and logistics ie bicycle hire etc. does speak reasonable English but is a hired worker who comes each day from his home in another district.

Absolute disaster ”
First of all, pictures are very nice and tidy when the place is actually very old and close to dirty. Watch out if you're looking for a bit of romantism / cleanliness. Second, the manager cancelled our booking when we arrived, and asked us to pay over the counter when our payment was already made weeks ago. A friend of us with separate booking had the exact same story. Very doubtful practice. Third, we rented some motorbikes which were really bad: engine stopping every 5 minutes, no brakes, no wing mirror. Very dangerous. We decided to leave the hotel. We do not recommend that place.

Amazing experience”
I was traveling with my husband, son (7 years old), and daughter (2 years old) and we had the most amazing experience at Ham Rong Homestay. The staff was attentive to our needs to a level I have never experienced before (and I am a doctor who has traveled with my young children to other countries). This was the best service I have ever had. When we stranded ourselves at a restaurant and no taxi would drive us the short (but unwalkable) distance, they came on scooters to pick us up. When we had to catch an early train, they packed us a care kit of snacks and drinks. The room was beautiful, the prices were good, and I can't say enough - the service is absolutely unbeatable. We rented scooters and drove around the area and it was our collective favorite part of our Vietnam vacation. I would not only recommend this experience to a family member - I would insist on it. Excellent place to stay”
Ham rong homestay is outside of town but is easily accessible by bike/ scooter ( both of which you can rent there) the surrounding of the hotel are just beautiful and away from the touristy bits. There are local restaurants about 10/15 min walk if you want to go out somewhere different to eat in the evening . Rooms were really comfortable, with a great shower, even a fridge and kettle. Would highly recommend staying here. One of the best places we have stayed so far.

amazingly experience”
We just left Ham Rong Homestay and what an amazing time. The room was perfect for our family (kids aged 9 & 12). The hosts were very friendly and helpful they also had a great English which was a bonus. Nothing was a hassle. We hired scooter's from them and were able to explore the area. The breakfast were lovely and we had dinner which was delicious. The location is so peaceful and was a good change from the chaos of Hanoi. Overall a brilliant experience would totally go back
