Good Value and very clean!”
Stayed here for 2 nights when we first arrived in Hanoi. Booked a tour through hotel staff to halong bay. We enjoyed the hotel so much that we decided to come back for 4 more nights after our halong bay tour. The staff here is exceptional. They are nice and friendly. Always smile, and give good advice. The room is adequate. Beds are comfortable, bathroom large, clean and plenty of hot water. Everything was clean, there was even a tv and windows that opened with a street view in the front. Wifi is available on every floor and works well. There's free breakfast every morning, but keep in mind they make it on a hot plate behind the reception desk. Tea and Coffee are always available, the tea is good, but my bf said the coffee wasnt. Location is good. Its not the closest to the main area, but everything is walkable within 10-15mins. Lots of shops, food and bakeries nearby. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again for sure.

Our stay in hanoi lucky guesthouse is great ... The staff are very friendly! They nice and approachable our room is small but clean and nice.. Quite new and I love the location so many people... But i think they need to work on the internet connection sometimes no internet and quite weak signal specially on level 2

Nice place in Hanoi”
About 10-15 minute walk from the heart of the Old Quarter, this place is a pretty good value for money. Incredibly friendly staff. The room was clean, AC worked well, and the surrounding area was lively. Recommend it if you want to get a little bit away from the hectic heart of the Old Quarter.

Hit and miss”
I've used this place a few times as it's convenient when I want to get to Hanoi quickly. Nice staff but recent visits have been a little troublesome. A water cut off meant I had to use the sister hotel - not their fault but the alternative was a few streets away and I had to use the toilet shower behind reception. I was given a different room type to the one I booked and had to stay in the room next to reception - quite noisy in the morning. Last time I booked I couldn't take a room because the current occupants fell sick and decided to stay in the room so I was late. It's value for money but be prepared for changes.

STAY AWAY!!!! MONEY STOLEN!!!”
We stayed here because of good reviews and comments, but 100% sure over $500 USD stolen out of our room from our backpack. We had just arrived from Myanmar and came directly into Hanoi to the a Lucky Guest House 2. We went straight to bed when we got there. Next morning we had breakfast and went sight seeing. Came back and counted our money after to find $200 missing. We thought it must have been taken or misplaced during our last week in Myanmar and chalked it up as a loss. We checked out the next day only to count our money again that evening to find another $300+ missing!! We are very careful with our money as we have been traveling for 6 months and would not make accusations if they were not warranted. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY! Hotel manager blamed us for losing money and told us we probably lost it buying souvenirs. Also told us that we should keep all of our money on us at all times.... what a joke. Hanoi Lucky Guest House 2 is a bunch of thieves.

I stayed on the top floor... bed was comfy and shower was hot and good water pressure.. air cond worked fine, only 2 rooms on each floor so not very noisey.. one staff member was fantastic good english and very helpful, for around $20 nght you cant go wrong includes a coffee and one egg on toast for brekky unbelievable value!!.. shops around corner

Started great but then went downhill”
Check in was great and lady on desk was very helpful and helped us run our errands. Unfortunately they must be on commission as every time you leave the room they are pushing ha long bay tours. We booked through them (but note we found it cheaper else where after so the "fixed price" is bogus). We booked to stay another night on our return, when we got back told us they were full, sent us across town to a room that was a closet, so we had to kick up a fuss to be put somewhere more adequate. If you do stay here. Don't stay on ground floor. Very very noisey so not very good nights sleep.

Pros... Nice and wide bed Reasonable price Choices for breakfast Bathroom inside the room Cons... Staff are like streetguys. You would arrive at night and would find them shirts off and drinking outside the hostel leaving the reception area unartended. The two receptionist guys aren't polite at all!...I complained about the broken exhaust fan and never had it fixed 'till I left.

black mold all over wall. health risk”
when we arrived we were told that there was a strange smell in our room and if we wanted to we could stay at a different hotel. we looked at the rooms at the other hotel and decided to stay at lucky guest house 2. after being in the room for about 30 minutes the smell got really strong and we realized it was the smell of mold. we pulled the bed away from the wall and saw a forest of black fuzzy mold all behind the bed. they had recently painted over the mold that was showing above the bed frame. it was too late to change hotels and we had an early departure the next morning so we just decided to stay for the night. hanoi is full of great hostels and hotels that are very inexpensive. this hotel unfortunately is not one of them.

The worst experience ever in Vietnam”
We got there at night and it was already full despite our reservation for a double room via agoda. The staff directed us to lucky guesthouse 1, which was a terrible place to stay. The room was dirty and small, Internet was slow and bathroom was also small and not clean. Think twice you make the reservation and be prepared for the worst that can happen in your life.

I checked out after 2 hours and changed place ”
Speaking of the room at the ground floor, which I was given. It took me only 2 hours to check out from that horrible place with paper-thin like walls. It was enough to hear all the tourists' issues and schedules for all possibles trips offered at the reception behind the doors. On top of that, the room was half dark with lights barely working. Personally, I'll never come back there.
