Pros: This was a fantastic place to stay, from the welcoming staff at reception, the room, breakfast, location, cleanliness, it was wonderful. As close to 5 Star as you could get and still being 4 Star. I was going to look at other hotels out of interest for another stay but decided it would be a waste of time, I was so happy with Henia. I think it must be fairly new, everything seemed new there, from the bedding sheets, pillows to all fittings and fixtures. Also a great central location and a short walk to the Boulevard. NEW HOTEL”
Henia is a new, very clean, very affordable hotel, situated in the midst of downtown Dumaguete directly across from the Public Market. Despite being in one of the busiest parts of town, I found I did not hear the street noise at night. The staff are all AWESOME, extremely helpful! The restaurant is only open for breakfast, which is complimentary with your room and has a good variety of choices. There are a number of various types of eateries for dinner all within walking distance. I was a woman traveling solo and I felt safe in that area, lots of people out at night. Easy to catch tricycles right outside the door.

They have comfy bed and pillows. aside from tootbrush and tootpaste they also provide comb and emergency sewing kit. room has electric kettle and free 250ml drinking water. they have glass bathroom and you can notice the silhouette of the person inside. >_< hi-tech switch for the lights and has a port for usb charging. staffs are friendly. they have at most 3-4 parking space in front of the hotel, and just across the market.

We arrived at the hotel late in the afternoon and we were all exhausted from our roadtrip. The location is really good, fastfood is just around the corner! New & clean rooms with the essential amenities. Booked the family room which was perfect for the 4 of us as it was spacious but I think more persons could actually fit in. The breakfast buffet was exemplary as well! We'll definitely stay here once we're back in Dumaguete. Loved the smooth check-in & out process too.

We spent one night here after our trip to Apo Island so we have time to explore the city. Walking distance to the boulevard and Sans Rival bistro (a must). The hotel is new, the rooms are clean. It's right across the public market (if you're not into those, consider other hotels). About 15-20 mins by tricycle to Airport. Overall great value for money.

The location is just in front of the public market. 5 minutes walk going to Sans Rival where you can buy silvanas and 7 minutes walk going to the boulevard. If you are looking for a cheaper transportation going to Sibulan Airport, in front of the hotel, there's jeepney terminal going to Sibulan.

Family room was so clean. It is big and will fit four people. I love the pillows! They're so fluffy!! The place is just beside the public market and is accessible . Friendly and reliable staff. If I go to Dumaguete again, I would book this place again. Two thumbs up!

If you don't mind not staying in a room without a view, this is a good place. Right near the local market so there are cheap food places near. Convenient place for hailing a tricycle to go to places. Quiet and clean. Breakfast was okay. Good stay overall

I liked everything about the place-- short walk to the bay, good decor, quiet room, comfortable bed (though might be a bit hard for some people) with good quality linens. The only minor irritation is the elevator bell, which dings loudly and could be very aggravating for rooms closer to the elevator than mine was.

Not the most memorable hotel stay ever, but good enough for the reasonable room rate. The room was spacious and clean, and the location was great. The breakfast buffet was maybe not stellar, but nicely varied, and the breakfast room had a great view of the city.

if the room is available, they will let you check in early (free of charge.) the only problem is, my sister and my mum can’t sleep well because of the noise in the other room. the guests in there were wide awake for the whole night and making a lot of noise.

The hotel has a great location, everything is within walking distance (supermarket, restaurants, Rizal Boulevard, church, and many more!) Breakfast was good and the hotel staff were super friendly. I was lucky enough to visit Dumaguete City during their Sandurot Festival. It was fun and there were lots of food.

Was in room 302 twin bed. Beds were good for 2 people each. Room was huge with window. Clean and housekeeping was prompt. Arrived at 4am had to pay additional 750 pesos for early check.in. breakfast buffet was great!

Good value for the money in the Philippines. Right in the heart of town. Has good security. Pretty clean for the Philippines. Which keep in mind is a tropical area with a lot of humidity. Could have some better ventilation in the bathrooms, some issues with a bit of mildew smell from the bathroom, but honestly this was one of the best hotels we stayed at for this price range. Has in hotel services for massages which we did not utilize. Has a great breakfast. One of the biggest gripes is that all of the hotel room powers shuts off without the card key, which includes AC and mini fridge so if you actually want to do things and explore you will return to a hot room and the fridge is essentially useless because it wont stay cold, will take a while to cool down, and once its cooled 1C you are leaving and have to shut it off again. It also smells a little of mildew due to it not staying on. However, in context, all of hotels we stayed at in the Philippines had this ridiculous card power system. Overall a good stay in the Philippines. Would stay again.

We booked a Family Room but they upgraded us to a Suite Room for free upon check-in. How thoughtful! Room was clean (+you can request for it to be cleaned daily), toiletries with towels and slippers were provided, and the beddings/linens were new. Breakfast was limited but it was a good serving nonetheless. Staff were friendly and the location was great. Will definitely come back.
