Great location, clean rooms”

We stayed for 4 nights in hien Mai hotel. Rooms were so clean! The beds were so comfortable probably the best I have slept on in the whole of south east Asia! Bathrooms a decent size. Rooms smallish but it was all we needed as the rooms all have a wardrobe to store all you clothes, bags etc. friendly staff and owners. It's tucked down a little alley so no noise! Great value highly recommend!

Great location, comfortable beds”

we stay for 4 nights and we found hien mai to very comfortable, very clean and a terrific location! the staff were very friendly and helpful. the beds would have to be the most comfortable i have stayed in within the whole of vietnam! the hotel is tucked down a little alley with a couple other guest house so no noise! no food facilities was mention to us by staff even though they have a picture stating restaurant on the agoda site. over all great value highly recommend!

Perfect for a no frills, value for money hotel”

The Hien Mai hotel was recommended to me and I'm so grateful for the recommendation. I was looking for an inexpensive room, no frills but clean, close to the beach with friendly staff and that's exactly what I got. As a solo female traveller I felt super safe. I would definitely stay at the Hien Mai again.

big rooms, helpful staff”

We stayed at hien mai for two nights. We arrived very early in the morning from an awful night on a sleeper bus and were very kindly given our room early. The room was big and clean, with air con, ffridge and bathroom. Breakfast was basic but fine. Only thing we really didnt like was the staff and friends were always in the lobby smoking and playing cards and the smoke smell spread throughout the hotel...fine if you like the smell of smoke!

Pleasant stay”

We liked this small hotel, but would be better to have a kettle in the room. If the linen were changed at least once during our stay, would also be a plus. Also, take your own shampoo and shower gel if you choose this hotel. And wi-fi connection was very unstable in the room, we needed to go out to the stairs to send messages. But these are small things, in general the hotel was very good.

lovely quiet and super friendly budget hotel”

We really liked this hotel, and would return in a heartbeat. The location was great, nice quiet room away from the street (its down an alley). The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The room was small but clean and cleaned every day. Decent shower although not separate from the rest of the bathroom if that makes sense. A very recommendable budget hotel!

Good hotel for the money”

The staff were very friendly, and let us check in around 4 hours than we normally would be allowed. The room was a decent size and very clean, breakfast is served very early from 6:30-9:30 and is basic but very nice. The staff helped us when our train tickets hadnt been delivered to the hotel and helped us with any queries we had. For the price i dont think you would get a nicer hotel.

Room with balcony”

nice hotel with clean and big rooms. very friendly and helpful staff. near from the beach (5 min by walk). we did a very early check in at 6 am and someone let us put our luggage at the reception and use the bathroom. they offered us to stay in the lobby (with a couch and a tv) to wait for our room but we rathered go on the beach. the hotel is very quiet as it is in a small alley without traffic. the breakfast was simple but ok. the only problem was the air con which is not really efficient.

nice place but rude staff ”

I stay here one monh but end my stay with really bad experience, staff so rude. I order taxi to airport 2:45am. I check with them many times they order it at 2:45 and they say yes. But at 2am they call my room, really really angry, shouting at me saying I miss the taxi blah blah blah. but they order the wrong time. talk to me so rude, shouting at me like I'm a piece of dirt. I try to explain they book the wrong the but they keep shouting at me. so sad because I liked the place before that. also this is the second big mistake they made. first time I stay here I need to go back to hcmc, I ask them to book bus for me and they say they book it, but when I got to the bus station I found out they didn't book it and I had to wait an extra 3 hours. cheap hotel but don't expect them to help you because they will mess it up and then blame you. it's sad because nice place but staff mess it up at the end.

comfortable, central, helpful staff”

I have a health problem but thanks to the understanding staff my stay was not too affected. The hotel is situation 5 minutes from the beach and nis within easy reach of many restaurants. The room was clean, comfortable and roomy. I would use again

Hesitant to stay here again”

+ Ideal location close to beach and many shops and restaurants. Hotel is on a small side-street and therefore quiet at night. Thick blackout curtains. OK wifi in room. - Chose "non-smoking room" yet it smelled pretty bad. Old furtniture, neither tv or fridge worked. We arrived early with the nightbus and weren't allowed an early check-in which is fair enough, but there's also no bathroom to tidy up in or even a common area to sit.

not sure how this hotel received such good reviews. rooms are dark and dingy no views. need is and squeaky. NO HOT WATER. many much better deals in area.

Great value & great location”

this place is only about a 5 minute walk to the beach. the staff was always smiles and helped us with everything. wi-fi is a little weak on the top floor, but it still worked nonetheless. when we asked if we could use their kitchen to eat some snacks bought from the grocery store, they said to make ourselves at home. great stuff.

Hotel Overbooked!”

We had booked the hotel and we are just being informed the hotel is overbooked when we arrived in the hotel. This is truly an irresponsible action from the hotel owner. The hotel owner should remove the ads in agoda or inform the traveller earlier so the traveller will not have to be disappointed after day long travel to nha trang. Please improve your booking management skill!

Suprasingly good”

Cheap, very basic, good wifi, okay AC, nice bed. Staff's English is very poor, but everything went well. Free towels and fresh linens. Location is awesome.

breakfast was average at best. it is very close to the beach though. to be honest its a glorifed homestay with a lovely family who own it and live in it, but it shouldnt charge you over 12 bucks for similar places.
