Why Not Just Stay Here?”
This place is very "Camp" , pun intended. It's glamping meets WW2. The area is nice, they laid out the camp grounds well. The river is just down the cliff, yes there are stairs. There is a natural pool, filled by spring water. Breakfast was alright, staff had to serve us from the buffet , because of the Covid regulations. They dinner was as advertisd. A big bonfire it in the middle, grilled meat skewers and some other dishes such as pad thai, sum tum, soups, veggies and a bar ( drinks were not included except for water). You definately need a car to get to the location, and there is one hell of a hill to get up and down. Best make sure your brakes are in good working order. But it does help you to appreciate the struggle the people had dealing with Hell Fire pass.

Great luxury campsite accommodation”
We stayed for two nights in November 2020 and had a great weekend. The staff were super friendly and even saved us some food despite us arriving late in the evening. The tents themselves are all incredibly comfortable and to our surprise we didn't see any insects like mosquitoes in or around the tents. The shower and toilet were spotlessly clean and the beds comfortable for a weekend getaway. We will definitely be recommending to others.

Marvelous trip for nature or history experience”
We planed this trip to be unplugged trip combined with history learning adventure and we truly enjoyed it. The room is clean. Location is serene and restful. We started our day with biking to the temple and explore the area. Bikes avail are acceptable quality. Then we hire a van to take us to take the train on historic route then took the boat to the bridge. It's a really memorable holiday. Nearby there is Hellfire Pass museum and we recommend to start the trip from there so you can learn a rich history the area is. Don't forget to visit the camp museum and experience the nature pool. Such a relaxing area to rest at the end of the day. Breakfast and dinner are really nice. So many options for food. A tip is don't wait too long for dinner as it's gone quite fast. Bonfire at dinner is really nice. Highly recommend to everyone who want to experience glamping and history experience.

Beautiful Remote location - Fires Going On March 2019!!!!”
This is a great place to visit! I learned a lot about the sad history regarding the area. The tents & bathrooms felt new, the bbq dinner was yummi with a romantic outdoor ambiance. There is mosquitos but with some protection I was fine. However, they have fires going on and most times it's hard to breathe. I do not recommend going there right now. Do your research if you have sensitivities to smoke. I was happy we only stayed one day. (mid March 2019)

5 Star Camping”
Excellent location in the middle of the jungle, a bit of hack to get there but the pick up truck from Nam Tok station was good. Staff were friendly and helpful and the tents very spacious with air con and WiFi. The included evening meal is excellent with a good variety of thai food and BBQ kebabs.... mine were a bit cold but a word with the waiter and they were back on the BBQ and served piping hot a few minuets later. Couldn't find any fault with this resort and will be going again in the future.

Absolute heaven!! We did not want to leave!”
We absolutely loved our stay! Everything about our stay was just magical. It was a shame we could not utilise the outdoor dining section and campfire etc (due to rain) but this could not be helped. It is quite a ride by scooter from Kanchanaburi - so would recommend transfers or riding only if experienced or have a fair bit of time available. Honestly, I could live here.... if you are considering it, just do it.

Style, thoughtful touches”
Not sure how I felt about the whole glamourising of camping in this area "Hell Fire Pass", feels a little culturally inappropriate. If you can get past that it is a lovely setting, the tents are very big with great bathrooms. I'd only do one night here. Hell Fire Pass was closed due to COVID but there's. a lot to do in the area. Lovely being on the river but it flows fast and is pretty brown, better to find a different spot on the river to enjoy swimming in it. Dinner was good and the setting was beautiful round the campfire with music playing. Breakfast was satisfactory - sweet sliced bread, cheap sausages, cheap pastries and lipton yellow tea like was bought in 7 Eleven etc) which is not in-keeping with the price one pays to stay here. The rock pool was dirty and leaves had not been removed so that was also a shame. Needs a lot more thought and care.

Great pool and very quiet. Glamping is clean and beautiful”
Great tents, very clean, very luxury. Way better than expected (but again, it was veeery expensive for what it is!). The pool is amazing, the river views are amazing. Camp fires at night, BBQ. Very quiet place, great to feel one with the nature. We were the only people around the pool (Nov 2019). Rental bikes for free. Bit difficult to get there (you will need a car/taxi as it is 30min walk from the main road).

Beautiful location and great staff who went out of their way to help. ”
Hintok river camp is a lovely luxury camping resort set in a beautiful, peaceful and historic riverside location amongst nature. It's a fair distance from the centre of Kanchanaburi, but resort tours are a great way to see the attractions and good value. The staff went out of their way to cater for vegetarian/ vegan meal requirements and always made us feel welcome. Tours including the bridge over the river kwai, the death railway, Mon village, boat trips, rafting and the tree top adventure are all highly recommended. Thank you!

Due to a storm I missed out on the BBQ in the evening. That unfortunately took a little away from what was a great experience. Sitting out under the stars a few yards from your tent is one of the big pluses.

Nice experience, but little bit overpriced for what you get”
First experience with "Glamping". The site is really nice with some really nice views. The staff was extremely professional, courteous, and a few of them had a nice sense of humor, which was really appreciated. Service was top notch, much higher than average in Thailand. However, for the price paid, we expected a little bit more when it came to included dinner and breakfast, and cleanliness/usability. Let me clarify: Food was plentiful. The evening BBQ was nice, with a great location in the center of the resort with a lot of options. However, our group of 4 thought that the food was of good quality, but a little bit bland. We do understand that this resort tries to cater to international tourists, so we think that they hold up on spiciness level to make it more palatable for the mass. Still, dinner was nothing to complain about too much. Breakfast however, was so-so. The thai food on the buffet was great (freshly fried Patonko for the win!), but for the price we paid, we expected a little much better from the Western style food that was available. Boiled ham, subpar croissants that you'd get in a cheap guest house at 500thb per night, frozen butter on ice (which cannot be spread on any kind of bread or croissant without destroying them)... sausages were the cheap kind as well. I expected a little more, such as pancakes, bacon, good breakfast sausages, sautéed potatoes, etc. especially when you pay 3500 THB per night or more. To summarize, dinner was "ok", but breakfast was a real disappointment for me, although thai tourists will certainly appreciate the thai menu. My Thai friends gave the breakfast a note of 7.5/10 and also loved the Patonko, which is popular street food that you don't often see in resorts. In terms of cleanliness, it's not so much about the maid's work (beds, floors, bathroom were sparkling clean, really nice bathroom divided in 3 sections, very wide), but about some furniture and the tent itself needing a little more love. Chair cus
