The surroundings are really beautiful and peaceful. I love the place. Beds are comfortable, room is clean. I enjoy the outdoor bath and shower. Breakfast was awesome.You can have your meals there and the food is quite good. You get to explore the Mua Cave which is just next to the ecolodge. It's free for guests who stay here.The view from Mua Cave is really stunning. The people at the reception are very friendly and helpful. Thank you. But just a word of caution. When booking a taxi through the hotel. it's best to get a flat rate rather than using a meter because the taxi took us for a ride and we end up paying more than we were suppose to. I made a complaint to the reception. Hopefuly something could be done so that guest will not feel cheated. Overall, it was a great stay. Highly recommended.

A really nice place to stay, perfect location if you are after stunning scenery. I rented a motorbike and went to the attractions I wanted to visit myself but I’ve ridden many time in Vietnam. You can take the resorts tours no problem I’m sure. They will help you book the next travel plans like a train ride to Saigon or a taxi / mini bus ride to Hanoi for he flight home. If I’m being honest the staff where extremely helpful (even traveling a good few kms to a store to help my gf out with a purchase. (Ladies I think you get the drift) but, this isn’t a late night place. The restaurant closes at 9pm and then it’s time for bed. I did stay on the open air area reading and helped myself to a few beers from the bar when the staff had gone to bed but left them where I was sat , they charged me for them on leaving. So no problem. That was a pretty fair system. Would I return? absolutely yes.

We arrived very early in the morning by train and got well guided via email the day before. Take a cab for 100.000 VND from the train station. We were welcomed ad 4 AM and luckily a room was free, so we could check in early and sleep. The rooms are beautifully crafted with bamboo. They have a solid construction underneath it, which made it feel very high quality. The bed was big and very comfortable. We were given a map of the are on arrival, that included some tips and survival Vietnamese. In the morning we had breakfast for 3USD pr. person that included 1 juice, 1 coffee or tea, 1 main (pancakes, eggs, baguette, noodles, rice etc.) and 1 fruit. The food was good for dinner as well with reasonable prices and great service from the staff, who always provided a smile and some help with Vietnamese pronounciation. Just outside our bathroom window, the cliff rose to the sky, while the beautiful rice fields and lakes make for a lovely scenery in front of the house. The homestay provides nice, new bicycles for 30k pr. day and scooters as well (unsure of the price). Bicycles are a great way to get around, since the area is fairly flat and so beautiful you want to have time to suck it all in. The location is about 1,5 km from Hong Mua, which has a stunning Viewpoint overlooking rice fields and limestone cliffs. Trang An, Tam Coc and the like are also very close (4-6km in each direction). We really enjoyed our stay here and want to wish the family all the best for the future.

If you're going to stay in Trang An opposed to the city center of Ninh Binh, this is hands down the place to stay! Scenery/landscape was beautiful. There was a large garden and many tables/lounge chairs right on the river. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Free breakfast was satisfactory. Other food items were a little expensive for Vietnam, but the prices were the best in the area. Rooms were very clean, smelled great, and air conditioned. WiFi could be spotty at times. Showers and bathrooms were separate which I loved. Very clean as well with towels and free soap. Free water bottle each day, however I would have preferred a water refill station for my water bottle. Overall I would recommend to everyone, solo travelers or families, had one of my best stays in Vietnam!

It's a new homestay so all the furnitures are still in great conditions. even the water cooker in my room still had the manual in it :D location of the homestay is great, very close to trang an and not so far from tam coc (abt 6 km) so cycling to hoa lu and bich dong are both doable. the family lives in the property as well so it was nice to spend time with them too. wifi was fast. breakfast was tasty and savory. they also serve lunch/ dinner for a price, the food was GREAT and the portion was a LOT and also lots of dishes. but because of that, the price was also quite expensive (4-6 euro per meal). would be perfect if they decrease the portion/ number of dishes and charge it cheaper. only a few other restaurants nearby, i went to 2 of them and 1 didnt even have a menu and the waitresses dont speak english. so may be a bit difficult to find alternative meal close to the homestay

The Hotel is located at approx 12 Km from Ninh Binh city. Its in the interior of Trang An. We truely enjoyed out stay at the hotel. The staff was so nice and helpful. The only observation was that the linenwas not changed on a daily basis. The breafast was satisfactory.. Anyone travelling Ninh Binh can easily stay at this hotel located right besides the mountain and the river area, far from the chaos at Tam Coc.

This homestay was without a doubt the best home stay I have ever been. The homestay is brand new (opened Feb 2016) and the staff are absolutely amazing. I was travelling with a group of backpackers and they literally went out of their way to accommodate us (we were basically a 'nightmare' to deal with :P). They picked us up from the bus station for free, and helped us in every way possible. The property is in a stunning location nestled amongst limestone formation. The accommodation was clean and comfortable 'bungalow'-style. The shared dinner (40,000 VND) was great value and the breakfasts (free) were also above-average. Overall I would HIGHLY recommended anyone coming to the Tam Coc area to stay here - you will not regret it!

Stunning location in the heart of rural Trang an . Really picturesque views and great opportunities to go outside and explore the surroundings. However it is a little out of the way from restaurants, shops and basic services if you are in need of them and you are best advised to rent a moped in order to get around . The rooms are spacious and clean and the bed very comfy.. great service and there’s both a restaurant and moped rental on the property which is super convenient. Overall lovely place, stunning location and definitely would recommend it !

Very friendly staff (let us check in early in the morning, helped us book tours, dropped us off at Ninh Binh train station). Buzzing of frogs making a good background noise for falling asleep.

The hotel is located in Co Do area, very close to Trang An, Co Do, easy to go to visit Bai Dinh pagoda, many caves, Kong film studio... it's around 12km far from the city but it's really peaceful, it's so great for who prefers countryside, peaceful environment, fresh air. There are so many foreigners coming to stay. However, the price is a bit high...

The location was great being tucked in between the mountains. The scenery is unreal and the pool was a great feature. The dorm was really mold and damp with no ventilation which was quite uncomfortable. It was a bit overpriced with bike hire and amount for the room but it was a good stay

Absolutely amazing stay from the minute we arrived we were able to check in fairly soon, welcomed with tea while we waited. The waterfront bungalow was amazing complimentary snacks and water refilled each day. Very clean. Best part was the free bikes spent teo amazing days biking through the valley, very relaxing. If you dont like biking or relaxing this is not the place for your as its about 10-15minutes in the middle of no where! Staff were so friendly! Get the included breakfast great options and amazing coffee! Will definitely return if back in Ninh Binh. Exceeded our expectations.

Just about the perfect weekend getaway from Hanoi. Half a dozen bungalows, all with excellent views. Only kind of a pain to find and get to, but this is part of the charm. You really get left alone here and after the daily grind of life in Hanoi, this is just about the perfect escape. I could happily sit in the hammock and read all day. Or, for those of you looking to see the sights, some are walkable or a short drive or cycle away. In a country full of cinder block hotels and ostentatious resorts, this is a rare gem. Cannot wait to come back.

Best and scenic location to stay for nature lovers. Best Simple Home Stay with best service. I strongly recommend this for people who want to stay close to nature.

First of all, I've been in Vietnam for 9 weeks and this has been the best homestay! Secondly, I never write reviews but felt compelled to do so on behalf of the excellent experience I had at this place! Mai, as in the namesake of this accommodation, is the hard working, fun loving, matriarch of the family. Her, along with her two twenty something daughters, keep this place running smoothly. Mai only knows a few words of English but her daughters are fluent! Family dinners were my favorite! I've been to a few homestays where the actual local family doesn't eat with us- just the foreign guests. Here, Mai, both of her daughters, and occasionally her husband, all eat dinner with us every night! (Her husband will probably offer you rice wine!) They have lived in this village for generations so they know everyone! It's not uncommon for neighbors, friends and family members to drop by throughout the day. The dorm room is well kept with huge comfortable bunk beds! The bathroom and shower, just outside the room, are spacious, clean and there was always hot water! (PS. There is a Western toilet and tons of toilet paper available.) I could have easily stayed here for weeks!

Great hotel, great view and thank you so much Mr. Robert. You have perfect place in all Ninh Binh. If someone think about living place, choose this hotel. River, mountain, birds song every morning all it's great. If i travel again in Ninh Binh i will booking only this resort. Perfect staff, helpful and can rent motorbike in resort no need go anywhere. We were lucky to find this homestay. The room was new, nice,clean and spacious, exactly like the pics. We went there by bike , so it was not a problem finding the way. If you have any difficulties finding the place, they are happy to pick you up. Extremely nice hots! They let us borrow the bicycles to go around the village ( which was so romantic at around 5pm) They have a awesome backyard where they grown flowers, veggies and the surrounding view is just amazingly peaceful. To sum up, this homestay was amazing. Nice, enthusiastic and friendly host, good facilities, no more acceptable for 1 night price which included breakfast. There is a hot fan in each room, a heating lamp in bathroom, also in living room and dinning room. Closed to Mua cave and stay between Tam Coc and Trang An.

One of the best places I've stayed so far in Vietnam. Great, comfortable, large, single beds in the dorm with a/c. The views from the property are stunning. There's many places to relax and take these in. Breakfast is good. Beer reasonably priced. Pool table. The family that run this place are very nice and helpful. I will stay here again in the future for sure.
