A hotel that feels like home!”

We were treated royally from the start at the Holiday Hotel. SReception staff greeted us with big smiles every time we passed through the lobby and were quick to offer us drinks or arrange taxis. They were so personable and friendly that language problems did not matter! Our room was wonderful - actually we had two rooms. Both had excellent air conditioners that were very quiet. One room had a desk top computer with huge flat screen monitor complete with camera and microphone and four chairs with end tables. The bedroom was large and had a big flat screen TV built into the wall. The bathroom was the only "strange" thing. The shower was big with a double shower head, one the rain forest type. We always had lots of hot water, but found it odd that the toilet was inside the shower stall. A wet, slippery shower floor could be of concern when using the toilet. As well, in the night we always had to be awake enough to remember to step into the shower! However, small inconvenience compared to the positive aspects. Breakfast was very good. Weekends have a breakfast buffet with lots of fruit and both western and Vietnamese dishes. During the week breakfast was ordered off a menu so there was less variety, but it was more than adequate. The market is just out the front door of the hotel and the river front area with many good restaurants and lots of evening activity is only a $2-3 taxi ride away. This hotel was definitely the best value for the money we have encountered. Only complaint we had was the man who approached us when we were checking in and tried to sell us boat trips. He claimed to be with the hotel, but was not. Fortunately we told him we needed time to get settled before making any decisions. We found the same ones he offered for half the price he offered.

Very comfortable stay in Can Tho for any traveller”

Free breakfast. Free Wi-Fi. Great service. Clean rooms and daily clean towels by housekeeping. Good location next to the market in Can Tho... And the list goes on :) I would highly recommend this hotel to solo travellers, couples, and small families as the stay is very good for a very good price. The only real dislike about the room we had was the fact that there was not a single window in the room. It would have been nice, however, given its position between two other buildings it would mean you have a view at another wall... The English language skills of the staff were limited, but that is pretty standard for most Vietnamese hotels I've stayed in, from low-end up to the higher priced hotels.

Perfect Hotel”

When we arrived at this hotel we were amazed at the appearance of the hotel. We were not expecting to see a building which we considered should be 4 star rated at the price we paid. Entry to our room was just as satisfying as our exterior view. All I can say about this place is "wow". This hotel is located right next to a local food and clothing market which are very cheap. The only let downs which the hotel should address are the Restaurant menu was not subtitled in english which made us eat elsewhere and a lack of tourist information. Location wise it is off the track a little with a walk or taxi (cheap) across the river to tourist companies necessary

Great value & good location”

We were very pleased with this hotel. We arrived at 11 AM and were able to check in right away. The room was much larger than we expected, air conditioning cold, and the free wi-fi worked well. The room did not have a window but it was fine as we did not spend a lot of time there. This hotel is not on the "main drag" of Can Tho. To get there (along the riverfront) was about a 15 minute walk or short taxi ride.The market across the street from the hotel is nice during the day and in the evening there are several spots near the hotel to eat or have a cool drink and watch the world go by. The staff were very nice. Their english was adequate and we had no problems with check in our check out. Breakfast was included but we did not try it.

Friendly, good value hotel”

We stayed at the Holiday Hotel for two nights on our way up to Saigon. Arrived late in the evening after a long bus trip and were welcomed by the nice reception staff as well as a lady trying to sell tours. The latter was keen, approaching us several times during our stay, but not overly pushy when we declined. I believe she moves around selling tours in different hotels, so she's not directly affiliated. Rooms were clean with good amenities and a lovely shower. Only minus point was the internal facing window, but it wasn't too much of an issue. We were pretty tired on both nights and ate a simple meal in the hotel, despite being the only ones in the restaurant food was nice and everyone was very friendly. Breakfast was of the usual variety (eggs/baguette etc), but it was fine and very quick. We also booked bus tickets through them and were very happy with that. Overall an easy, comfortable stay for a couple of nights.

Very clean room for a good price”

we stayed two nights in the holiday hotel. it's located directly in front of the market, some nice looking restaurants around. it's about a 20 minutes walk to the boats for visiting the floating markets. the room was spacious and spotlessly clean, it looked very new. the bathroom even had a shower cabin with glass front (wow!) which seems to be quite uncommon in vietnam. unfortunately there was no window in the room, but good lights so that you don't feel like in a “cave”. the staff was friendly but didn't speak almost no english.

A cheap and cheerful hotel”

this is a really budget hotel. for the price, the cleanliness, size and quality of furnishing is great value for money. the staff are friendly but can hardly speak english. they asked to keep my passport for a day upon check-in, but i refused. apparently they said the can tho police will request to check the passports of guests, but i did not believe them. luckily, i had a spare copy of my passport and they accepted that in lieu. the wi-fi works well. it is just next to a market which can be very smelly if you are not used to asian markets. also, the area outside floods during the high tide every evening. you should take note of that or you will be stranded! it is close to some nearby eateries/restaurants but none of them were outstanding in any way. the food in the hotel's cafetaria is just so-so.

Great hotel, 2km out of centre”

Everything supergreat (rooms, service, cleanliness ...), except the little distance to the centre. But its a nice way to explore non-touristy Can Tho.

very nice hotel a little far from riverfront”

the hotel is quite nice - large rooms, comfortable beds, large tv, walk-in shower. breakfast to order was very good. a lttle far from the riverfront but close to market and restuarant. for the price a great deal.

Very good value rooms, dodgy travel guides”

The rooms were good quality, the place was right next to a local market which had good street food. Also 5 min walk to the bus station for Chau Doc. Staff needed english written down but were helpful and cheerful. Negative was the guy who the hotel let in to do our Floating village tour,was about double the going rate. Another 'tour guide' tried to sell us bus tickets to Chau Doc for $7 when they were $3. |The hotel wasnt helpful at giving us the real prices.

Great little hotel”

we stayed in room 402, very quiet room bearing in mind the hotel is situated in quite a bust area. well located for river trips the market and places to eat. lovely fresh clean room, unsuite could get quite hot though. lots of little extras like kettle etc. and a bargain @ $25. breakfast was basic but nice, and staff were very pleasant and spoke quite good english, we did find that the locals didnt speak any english so we struggled a little with menues etc. with the exception of the floating market trip arranged through hotel, our guide viet was fantastic.

good service and very nice spacious rooms”

Stayed 2 nights in can tho, aim was to check out the floating markets and that was easily organised for us at the hotel, picked up the next morning at 5am and spent the morning with a guide and her boat cheking out the mekong, was an awesome experience. Would love to have stayed longer and checked out more of the mekong by bike and boat

great hotel on river bank”

Pay for VIP room they are great, you will be met at hotel by guy who will take you case to room he is the boat tout, but use this guy tell him you want private boat 2 people sunshade on boat you want to see floating market & then go down small side rivers to see the real Mkong Delta 4 hour trip maxyou will get him down 20/25 bucks total 2 people, otherwise you have to get cab to main boat jetty get on 40 seater tourist boat zoom up river & see nothing, the boatman comes to hotel 7am boat is moored 50 yards from hotel

Great value for money”

For the extra couple of dollars, it's definitely worth upgrading to the deluxe room - ours was massive! We were in Vietnam for a month, and this was one of the best hotels we stayed in. Rooms were very clean, and it actually had a shower with decent water pressure! The level of English of the staff was not particularly good compared to other hotels, and this hotel is a little distance from the waterfront - about 35-40,000VND in a taxi which didn't bother us, but if you're on a really tight budget, that might be an issue for you.

Lovely hotel ad great value!”

The hotel is brand new and the finish in the rooms is still fresh and not showing any signs of age. The bedrooms are spacious and nicely finished. The bathroom was big with a screened off rainfall shower, which was a lovely suprise after mostly enduring wet rooms with piddly showers in most of Vietnam! The staff were friendly and helpful, though their English was not as great as other hotels. Breakfast was good with western and local options. It was a 15 minute walk to the main part of town, but it was so much better value than the others that it was definitely worth it!

Lovely hotel, good facilities”

i arrived at the hotel at 5am, the male receptionist welcomed me with great smile, we booked 3 big rooms however, we checked-in too late so the hotel gave them to other group, he suggested me to 5 small rooms fixing my family with 10 persons. thanks a lot for his flexibility, the room is so cool, i love that, good facilities and great location

Excellent hotel, not so central”

This hotel is high-quality with really nice and new rooms (beds, furniture, TV ... of European standard). The excellent value for money is because the hotel is located around 2km from the center. Easy to take taxi or to have a longer but comfortable walk (great chance to see a bit of the city and to shop). The service was great. They booked us buses during TET-festival.

Big rooms but still in its infancy of operations.”

it is a very new hotel and staff can improve their english standard but they more than made up for it with their great service attitude. hotel is about 20mins walk to the riverfront but it is near to a stretch of shopping street about 6mins walk away. right next to the central market which is a nice place to walk about in the morning. however it is a very new hotel and the road outside of the hotel encounters low flooding from late evening till early morning.

clean hotel service with a smile”

Very attractive rooms with clean toilets. Food was good. Only thing was the absence of a room boy to carry the luggage. If the hotel can attend to that, it would be great.
