Clean, comfortable and convenient! ”
Stayed one night in the suite as my wife wanted a bathtub to relax in. From check-in and throughout our stay, staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was very spacious and comfortable. One king bed, a sofa bed as well as another sofa by the bedside. Easily can sleep 5 if required. Toiletries were all provided, with toothbrushes and toothpaste too. Only gripe would be that the soap and shampoo were all fastened to the wall, so I couldn't bring them with me to the bathtub. Room was also missing a remote control for the TV, but housekeeping sorted that out for me within 30 mins. Had a kettle, 3-in-1 coffee and tea, as well as ample bottled water. My room was set up for 3, so 6 bottles were given. Food for breakfast was a good buffet spread that was decent. Big selection of food. No complaints at all and would happily eat again. Just above Komtar mall and right next to City Square mall, sheltered connections to both. Love the location and will come stay again!

Holiday Inn is conveniently situated right above Komtar JBCC which is a few mins walk away from CIQ/City Square Mall/Bazar Karat, surrounded by many eateries around. Wanted to have a short weekend getaway with my husband so I booked the King Bed Standard City View room for a night & we got a room on the 18th floor. The room was spacious, clean & has large windows with a nice city view (esp at night). And, on top of that, there's also a cozy sofa right beside the window to enjoy the view. Also, I had a good night sleep as the king bed is very comfortable, with 4 plush pillows. The TV doesn't have Netflix/Youtube, but there's bluetooth/screen casting which was fine for me as I could link my phone screen to watch movies. Wifi connection was strong too. Toiletries, bathrobes, hair dryer & iron are provided and I have to say that the hair conditioner is amazing (makes my hair smooth; not like the typical hotel hair conditioners). The bathroom was clean – water pressure was just right and toilet has bidet spray/toilet rolls. As I checked in late, I requested for late check out after 12PM and they were able to allow me to check out at 2PM with no extra charges. I've been to many hotels in Johor Bahru & Holiday Inn was by far one the best hotel and I would consider staying here again for my future trips to JB. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay!

Excellent stay despite during the peak period (week of September 2022 school holidays). Check in took a while but we were compensated with complimentary ice cream. :) Such thoughtful gesture by the manager who came out and distributed ice creams to hotel guests at the lobby waiting for check in. Hotel is still new, rooms are clean with modern decorations. Love the breakfast spread!!! The only downside i feel is the small pool and can be a little crowded. But nonetheless, we will definitely stay here again. Thank you Holiday Inn JBCC!

Hotel was strategically located in JB's city center near both JBCC and City Square. Allows for easy return to the hotel for a short rest between shopping sprees. On one of the days, a balloon sculpting artists was also invited to the hotel's lobby to sculpt balloons for families with young kids. Room was very clean and modern. Housekeeping was very fast in sending up any requested items (within 10-15min). Only downside was the daily making of beds might take some time. There was a day that the housekeeping crew only came at 5pm to make our room. Daily breakfast spread was good but not great. The pastries served at breakfast were the highlight amongst all the food on offer.

One of the affordable and cleanest hotels after Covid-19”
There are other cheaper hotel options around the same area but most of the hotels in Johor Bahru have not recovered from the pandemic in terms of the manpower and so a lot of them are not well-maintained. I have heard of poor service and dirty rooms about other hotels due to the manpower crunch. Since Holiday Inn is an IHG hotel, I thought their standard of cleanliness should be good. True enough, the room was clean, modern and complete with amenities. However, the room smelled like smoke despite us requesting for a non-smoking room. Called the front desk and they sent housekeeping to take care of it. The housekeeping staff came 15-20 mins later and just sprayed some solution a few times which did not help rid of the smell. Other than that, the rest of our stay was great with a great view from the 26th floor. Breakfast: Make sure to include breakfast in your booking as there is a wide variety of items in their buffet breakfast. Facilities: The pool is open from 8am - 7pm located at the 32nd floor and a gym too Location: It’s just opposite the immigration checkpoint and connected to the city square mall so you only need to walk a few meters. It’s very easy to find. Things to do: You can shop at the adjacent mall as the items are very cheap, the food are very good, there’s a cinema as well at only 16RM. There are many spa places and salons. But would recommend Pelangi area for great massages and KSL mall for very affordable nail spa services like gel mani and pedi.

Conveniently situated”
The hotel is situated at City Square Mall and Komtar. With a lot of selection of foods, we do not need to worry at all when hungry. Staffs are friendly and patient. Showed us a place to sit when its very crowded during breakfast hour. Room is clean and spacious. Pool and gym facilities are clean and nice! The small hiccup is only when we were checking out, one lift was down and we have to wait around 10 mins to get down to the reception. The lifts were super pack with check out customers. Apart from this, alls good! Loving out stay !

Recommended, convenient, clean and good”
Our 3 nights stay was great. Tried our luck to check in abit earlier (at 1.30pm, official was 3pm) and to our pleasant surprise, the room was already ready. Hotel bfast was a lil disappointing, as I felt the variety lacking and we had to request for cutleries 2 times before getting it. But the rest of the stay was great, staying right above the mall has its own perks, like ease of arranging transport, short walk to the woodlands checkpoint. Room is clean, spacious and bed was comfortable. Would likely recommend!

I Had stayed here for multiple times and I can only say this it’s one of the best hotel I’ve stayed so far in JB. The hotel is located above the JBCC and it’s near the Immigration. Really recommend it. However I’ve stayed in the 5 suit with sofa bed and had this weird encounter twice on 2 different stay the sofa bed will might not be clean as my family members that sleep on it complain of having rashes and itching all over.

Superb location”
Great hotel with superb location. Just a stone throw away from the JB custom & immigration. Located above jbcc komtar and just next to city square mall. Easy connection and all sheltered linkway. Hotel rooms are great and cleaned. The view on my room at level 27 was superb facing the border and singapore. Hotel staff was very friendly and Mr specially provide a great customer experience. Highly recommended hotel for your next stay!

It was my first time staying in this hotel with my group of friends . We were delighted with the convienent location which situated just across city square and next to komtar mall . We booked 2 rooms and had requested for connecting rooms. Front desk officer Vijay was very helpful . We had a pleasant and smooth check in . The rooms are good sized and clean . Breakfast spread was good too . The hotel staffs were polite as well . We will definitely be back again !

Nice location just across the Jb sentral. Great facilities. I love the softness of bed and pillows have a great sleep. Buffet breakfast was also tasty, offers different food each day. Swimming pool was quite crowded but the gym area is nice. Overall nice place to stay. Will comeback if I visit again JB.

Overall the stay was great. We went for family staycation from 21-31 Dec. Stay was pleasant, breakfast was fantastic, my 2 and 7 years old love it. Very close to train station, in fact we are next to City Square Mall. Overall very convenient and clean. Hotel staff were friendly too.

The location is perfect. Walking distance to CIQ, Komtar at our doorstep and City Square just next door. It's pretty convenient to get a grab at the pickup/drop off as well. Hotel is pretty new and rooms are clean, breakfast was good too! We'll be back for sure! :)

room : 10/10 spacious and i got straits view (at first i got city view but i requested straits view and it’s awesome.. we can clearly see singapore frm our room. breakfast: 10/10 food taste good but not too good . + points i give for their free flow coffee and its from high quality coffee machine and you can choose to have cappuccino/ latte/ black .. the juices were also pressed juice. not a tasteless cordial or fake juice. location: 10/10 it’s located on a shopping mall komtar JBCC and city square. it is easy to shop but unfortunately due to covid, CS is temporary close. near CIQ so it’s easy if you want to travel to singapore and stay at Jb staff: this is the best part of the hotel. staffs were very helpful and friendly. they tried their best to entertain us. from front desk to housekeeping and restaurants were very good and nice restaurant: 9/10 plus points for the offer they gave us.. we paid only rm22 for 1 set of meal.. that was very cheap for hotel’s meal. taste was ok can improve on the taste i guess. again i got free latte machiato from the waiter . he said i waited quite a while. but i think there wasn’t any problem. just my luck on my birthday. the rm22 package is for 1 meal and soft drinks. so i got 1 meal , pressed juice and a latte machiato. parking: i saw many comments about parking. but for me it’s not really a big deal to go to 7th floor but for mpv or bigger car its a bit difficult. but for my small car was ok. pool: during this pandemic we need to book the pool for only one hour and only 12 people and one time. but i got the whole pool for myself. because no one were there . tips : book the pool at 6pm-7pm . there is also a small spa pool there. overall it was an amazing staycation for mu birthday and definitely will be my favourite hotel in JB
