          Nice guesthouse with wonderful service”

          Lovely guesthouse and great service

I stayed there for two nights but were very pleased with the service. I also liked the decoration of the guesthouse - so pretty. Gyeongju city is different from other big cities so you should prepare to walk for a while before you reach the restaurant, bicycle rental shop, bus stop, the bank or the supermarket. However, the guesthouse is in the city center and the owner/manager was so wonderful and helpful with all your questions.

Traditional Stay, Very Quiet Area at night, friendly owners

The guest house itself is gorgeous:Loved the hostel. One of the most interestingly designed hostels I have ever seen in my stay at various hostels. Very cozy and warm. Whoever is looking for a nice quiet place to relax and enjoy a bit of korean calmness can find it in this guesthouse. I really liked that Homonomad has a such friendly and nice hostess, which makes your stay there very comfortable and cosy. One drawback however is that the bathroom and showers are located away from the main building and you must go outsideto get to them which is not much fun. But otherwise it was an awesome with amazing people, within walking distance from interesting historical sites.

Hard to find but lovely Guesthouse owners”

          friendly owners

We arrived at Gyeongju at around 6+, it was dark and a little difficult to find. By the way, bus 70 doesn't reach there anymore, it's now 60 or 61. Better double check before u board the bus. It's very close to the main royal tomb areas, as well as the famous sampo sambak restaurent. guesthouse owner treated us to korean rice wine, and we had a cosy chatting session with 2 other fellow guests, so it was nice :) perhaps the only down side is that the toilet and washing area is outside the main buidling of the guesthouse, so it's a bit too cold to visit the toilet during winter night.

I was a solo female traveler from India, took single bed on dorm, my roommates were a korean family and two english speaking people, all were friendly. The owner and manager Kao was very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is very homely. If you want to have a traditional korean home experience, I would suggest you book this place. Clean place and their pet is also very friendly. Cool traditional home and it is a very safe place. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Gyeongju.

          Great for money

Due to the cherry blossom festival, it's not easy to find a hotel in Gyeongju. The hotel is within 15min walk from rail station & bus station but it was quite difficult to find. So better go to the Tourism Information Desk to get the map & the route of how to get there. Tradition hanok and great for money. Nearby, many good restaurants.

          a home to go back”

          comfortable place

If you are looking for a place like home, this is it! It is in downtown Gyeonju, about 15 minutes from the bus terminal. It is an old "house" where you go back. We (me, 13 yrs old and 7 yrs old) stayed in the friends-room comfortably. Toilets and shower rooms are in next buildings, so you may feel inconvenient in winter. Good restaurants are in 5 minutes walk. I guess many guest houses in Korea have so-called "lock-out time", when the staffs clean the house and guests are requested to stay outside. Here, it is from 10:30 to 14:30 (if I remember correctly). You may not like it on rainy days. Kao, the owner, was very friendly to the guest. I think her role makes this guest house very homy place. When we went there, it kept raining heavily for three days unfortunately. My kids were highly disappointed because they really could't do anything in this old town in such an occasion. Kao kindly looked for a spa in suburban area, where they enjoyed the best.

Not as good as the others say”

          Location, house style

The Homo Nomad is very close to the main attractions of Gyeongju, most of them in walking distance. There is a bus stop about 10 minutes to the north from which you can get on a line to the attractions outside of the city. From the bus terminal it's about 20-30 minutes walk. There are no cheap food options nearby so you'll have to walk to the downtown area about 15-20 minutes away. The owner (?) of the guest house was a very nice lady who helped us with all our questions. She can speak English fluently so it's way easier to find your way around. The House itself is quite interesting and laidback. There is a big common area to meet people and chill out with lots of vintage stuff and music to listen to. The rooms were not special and basic, though we got a free upgrade. The breakfast is very simple, just toast and two kinds of jam. The showers and bathrooms were outside in the courtyard. Towels were provided for a rental fee of 1000 WON. In terms of value I have to say that you can get budget hotel deals for roughly the same price with towels included etc.

          Proximity, Courtesy, Flexibility

Proximity: very close to major tourist areas, accessible to the Express Bus Terminal within 15 minutes by walk, a supermarket is located around the area which is easily reachable. Courtesy: Guesthouse owner Kao is very friendly and helpful as she guided me how to get to those tourist areas. Generally, a very nice stay in Gyeongju.

          accessible to major attractions

The guest house features are really designed for backpackers who is looking for a clean place. The house is well maintained and the beds are comfortable and warm especially during the cold season. The guest house itself is walking distance from the royal tombs, the museum, the pond, and the tower. There are nice and delicious eating areas available within walking distance and along the way to the major attractions. The bus terminal and train stations are accessible by walking or taxi.

Cozy room, nice owner and guesthouse close to attractions

I was very pleased with my stay, the room was very cozy, and I could walk from the guest house to most places I wanted to visit. The owner is very nice and helpful. For the downsides, the bathrooms are in another building, so you have to step outside to use them.

          Guesthouse with Homy Atmosphere”

Within Walking Distance to Major Touristic Sites

I arrived in the evening and found the guesthouse not so far from the bus station. If I haven't got lost, it would only take me 10 mins to get there. It is located in a quiet residential area. After I dropped my bags and left the guesthouse to find some dinner, I was pleasantly surprised to find some gorgeous royal tombs just around the corner. The guesthouse is a good base to explore all the major touristic sites in the city. You can either walk around like I did or rent a bike, but walking is quite pleasant since you can make more discovery. The guesthouse owners are also lovely, they are a easy-going couple who enjoy chatting with their guests in the courtyard in the evening breeze. Thanks to them I get to know the taste of Korean Rice Wine and an interesting snack "banana kick". Over all, it is a very pleasant stay.

          Friendly Staff, Nice Hanok House

The staff is very friendly and send me the map of the guest house after I book the room. The house is nice, warm atmosphere. Small garden and a dog. They have only 3 common bath rooms. Sometimes may be a bit busy. The location is a bit far from the train station, but you can take the bus.

Great value for a place to rest while visiting”

comfortable bed, breakfast provided, cool atmosphere

I really liked this hostel. The owner was very cool and helpful. The house is beautiful, and it's a unique experience to stay in. Breakfast of toast and jam is provided along with coffee and tea. The beds are very comfortable, and it's in a quiet neighborhood so you can get a solid night's sleep. The location is a bit far from any actual restaurants or public transportation, but not horrible, and the owner will gladly call you a cab if necessary. The only thing I really disliked was that the bathrooms were outside, and in the winter, this was not a pleasant experience since they were not heated. Aside from that, I would 100% recommend this hostel.

          Traditional building with warm hostess”

          Great Location, Traditional Stay

Located in the residential area, close to the Cheongsamdae and park. It is a traditional Korean house with their classical wooden made furniture. Warmly welcome by Kao, and she provide info for sightseeing also recommendation for where can I find good food. At night, walking back from Anapji Pond is very nice with the view of Chengsamdae. And on the next day, a morning walk inside the park with the flower garden also is a must do activities. I like the breakfast on next day, with coffee, orange juice and toast plus variety choices of jam, it makes me eat up 4pcs of toast.

          comfort, proximity to attractions

Guest House is not that easy to find despite following the instructions. Located away from the town centre, hence limited food options in the vicinity. But it's very close to the major attractions, about 10 mins by foot to the nearest one.
