Excellent Acommodation for a stay in Chiang Mai”
The room was clean and inexpensive. Breakfast and room service were both pretty good. The Horizon also provides a free shuttle to the airport if you need it (talk to the front desk). There’s also a pool and botanical gardens on the premises if you decide to simply relax at the hotel for the day. I had a very pleasant stay, and I’d thoroughly recommend it if you’re staying in Chiang Mai.

Really appreciate the effort of the management and all staff of the resort to maintain a good clean place. Not only the room I stayed, but also all the common areas and outdoor places are being taking good care of. A safe to rest & relax place for retreat even under stress time like this situation. First time I have stayed here. Very pleasant vibe, beautiful surroundings and a comfortable room. A pity the variety of restaurants are not open due to COVID. Still have the breakfast buffet and the cafe located on 118. Enjoyed being here, thank you!

I highly recommend Horizon Village Resort, it's a great place to relax and unwind. Staff, location, and amenities are superb. This is also an ideal place for events such as weddings, etc. It's memorable for us since we celebrated Loy Krathong and Yipeng Lantern festival here. Will definitely come back! This place is so worth it. 😊

From beginning to end the experience with the manager (owners brother) was above par. Pretty sure we were the only ones staying that night & they treated us like "royalty" already miss it & look forward to staying there again!

Excellent location, but a few communications issues.”
We booked a deluxe room listing amenities including airport transportation each way, daily shuttle service, bicycle rentals, breakfasts, and s 15% dining discount. We were very satisfied with the property, the breakfasts, and the staff's friendliness and professionalism. Breakfasts were served buffet style on weekends and in the smaller, sit-down restaurant on wekdays. The airport pickup was fully satisfactory, but for departures, it leaves the hotel on a fixed schedule at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 & 4:30 p.m. Depending on your flight times, it may not work. The daily shuttles left at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., and returned at 10 p.m., which generally weren't helpful to us, and require a 2-hour advance reservation. The bike rental was good for only a single 3-hour rental and the 15% food discount were good for only a single use during our 5 day stay, which were disappointments because we had hoped to use both daily. Better clarity on these and the shuttle info would improve the listing.

Disappointed with breakfast but enjoyed the gardens”
We have stayed at this resort many times because we enjoy the beautiful floral landscaping. One of the best gardens in any resort in the city. However, this is the first time we were disappointed by the lack of a good selection of breakfast. But the cafe staff were very helpful in toasting the bread, which we bought ourselves from the 7-11 nearby, so we could enjoy our eggs with it. Secondly, I was totally annoyed by the noisy jarring sound of the housekeeper’s trolley. Sounds like some ancient machine roaring down the corridor. The wheels could use some greasing or repair.

Located in the Tweechoi Botanical Garden park. The Horizon is not a new resort but well maintained. Shuttles run throughout the day through the park. Very relaxing. We will return.

Very honest staff”
While leaving for bird watching in the garden I accidentally pulled out a 500 and 100th be built from my pocket which dropped on the ground. The staff found the money and looked on the security camera and saw it was me and you drop the money the staff then return the money to my room. Kudos unbelievable service. The rooms are large and Northern Lanna Thai style. Very comfortable and clean with a beautiful view of the lake and garden just a few steps out the back gate and you're in the most beautiful Botanical Garden you can imagine with walking paths bicycle paths and plenty of park benches to sit and relax. I cannot recommend this Resort enough it is outstanding. We did not have the breakfast. And restaurant was closed due to covid but the staff is outstanding and the room is comfortable and reasonably priced

Perfect place for quiet rest for couples and families ”
I love this Resort: 15 minutes from the city is not a problem (grab taxi go there easily), but you will have a swimming pool, huge garden, zoo where you can feed an animals, pound with catamarans. Also there are cute coffee-shop and air-baloon service near by! If you have a business matters also discuss it with personal in advance: they have spacial halls and meeting rooms in that territory!

Great resort! Beautiful grounds with children's play area, small zoo where you can feed the dear, ostrich, camel. A boating lake, museum and botanical gardens. Nice pool and brilliant maze that keeps my hyper little man engaged, entertained and happy. Bike hire is available, which makes a great way of getting around the vast grounds.

Standard of front desk has dropped”
We really enjoyed staying here because of their splendid garden and atmosphere. It’s so relaxing and quiet. We have stayed here half a dozen times and always felt reluctant to leave. On this visit, though, one thing shocked me, the hospitality of the front desk was quite lacking. One evening, as I passed the front desk, I smiled and greeted the personnel. She didn’t even acknowledged me nor return the greeting. I’m not sure if she was in a bad mood or what, but this is totally unprofessional. Really disappointed that they did not keep up the standard of the customer service. I do commend the housekeeping staff who were very helpful and efficient ……and smiling.

Love the pool and the large area for just walking around and exercising. Not much to expect from the gym facility or the restaurant (though I heard it's being renovated) but the large area for walking and running is excellent. Generally quiet, if you're lucky enough not to stay there when there's a conference taking place or large groups of tour buses offloading tourists. Far enough away from the city center but close enough if I fancied going to town for a different meal.

Ghost Hotel ”
We arrived to a very quiet hotel - due to the Covid -19 virus the majority of expected guests had cancelled. No fault of the hotel and they explained this in a letter on arrival and also in person. The grounds / gardens are amazing, we didn’t see it in all its glory due to a current drought the pond water levels were very low and reduced staffing meant maintenance wasn’t what it normally would be, again this is to be expected. However, you do see the sculpted trees and flowers covering the grounds. Museum on site showing the tradition way of life in this part of Thailand. Only one cafe area to eat - all other restaurants were closed as no guests. The staff were polite and tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The private pool areas were clean and made you feel like you were completely separated from the outside world. The rooms we’re traditional Thai in style, not modern like the majority of hotels in this country - this one has maintained its traditions and it’s nice to experience (the bed was a bit too hard for our comfort but that’s personal preference) The hotel provided a shuttle service into the night bizarre (approx 30-40 min drive) set time’s drop off 10:00 or 18:30 one pick up at 22:00. Overall my ONLY criticism which is not a result of the Covid - 19 virus is the “zoo” I don’t understand the need for these animals to be on this site, it isn’t a zoo at all. Having water buffaloes, Thai deers, ostrich, camels, peacocks/hens and other birds all in small pens/caged areas isn’t an attraction in my opinion, the environment isn’t natural or spacious enough. My booking included airport pick up and drop off. I sent an email with our times prior to arriving and received confirmation that they would accommodate. The day before check out I went to confirm and was advised they would take us at 06:30 - we needed to leave at 05:00 for our 08:00 flight. I showed the confirmation email for 05:00 departure but was advised they wouldn’t take us thi

Great place, a little less than before....”
Some construction happening right now. Booked at a pretty high, last-minute price didn't include breakfast (my fault for assuming and not checking) then asked for late checkout, even with construction sounds in room above ours this morning, it's such a beautiful place we just wanted a buffer on the morning rush. They gave us only 30 min because someone else was checking in, even though it's pretty empty and a huge hotel, so 12:30 but, they could have said no. I dunno, been coming to this place for many years and it feels like decisions are made with host before guest mentality to a degree now. They do have a well-manicured large garden and it would be well worth paying 200 bhat just to roam the gardens and this all comes free with the room, the pools are great, views at lakeside were worth the bumps of staying here and the food/service in the restaurant was excellent even though the restaurant moved because of renovation. They did not welcome with a drink and no fruit gift in room.

Love this place, have stayed many time and always feel relaxed and happy during and afterwards. Great site as long as you don't want to go anywhere else, which we never do. Ground are vast and beautiful with a mini zoo, children's playground, maze and great swimming pools.
