Wonderful service even though when we arrived they had not received our booking. The owner made us very welcome and accommodated us. Food cooked by owner Chef was delicious. Lovely village 8 miles to Whitby.

Beautiful location and busy pub”

Beautiful location in a quiet village in a very picturesque area. Nice pub and beer garden, friendly bar staff and hotel staff. Breakfast was great. Keep in mind, if you're a light sleeper, that this is a working pub so you'll hear noise from drinkers and when they leave until about 11.30pm.
