We have a comfortable stay at Hotel de l'Opera Hanoi - MGallery by Sofitel . The room is very nice, clean, the friendly staff especially Long at the front desk, who give us the excellent recommendation " Bun Ngan" local dish that we were really enjoy through his suggestion . Many thanks to Long for helping us have a wonderful time in Hanoi during the weather crazy hot of 45 degrees Celsius..

Excellent hotel”
I stayed in the hotel for my last 2 nights in Hanoi, everything was very easy in regards to checking in, the room was clean and well presented. The only downside I might say was the restaurant as while the food was great, it did take quite a while to be served, even when there were less people in than normal. All in all I would reccomend this hotel

There were some hiccups before we arrive, but it was resolved with the hotel pretty quickly due to their responsiveness. We were there for a bachelorette celebration, and the hotel was really kind to make some arrangements to have the room set up for our group. Many thanks to Mr Chien, Ms Trang, and all the great staff at Hotel de l'opera who made our stay an enjoyable one. The beds were comfy, and the room was spacious. As this was a short trip, we did not have time to explore the hotel facilities. Nonetheless, it was a good and restful stay and we will definitely come back to Hotel de l'opera if we visit Hanoi again!

Poor customer service”
Staff were poorly trained. They kept my ID when i checked in and never gave back until I found out 4 days later. They didn't even know until I asked. Staff knows little about new e-VAT issuance. I received different answers from different staff. I was also requested to pay up front because i don't have a credit card, even though my booking was confirmed and guaranteed by my company. Anyway, everything was fine but my overall experience was totally frustrating and annoying. I won't come back and won't recommend my company to stay in this hotel.

Large, beautiful rooms, great location, average breakfast”
Rooms are big, especially the bathrooms. Bed is a central , raised element, giving it a spacious look and feel. Location is excellent with access to taxis and transport. Bathroom is enormous. But be careful of the lip in the floor in between the sink area and the toilet. I tripped on it twice. Breakfast buffet was small and disappointing. Coffee weak and lacking in flavour. Next time I will get breakfast outside

Not as good as sister hotel in Saigon ”
Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights - Friday and Saturday I had previously stayed at the Hotel des Artes M Gallery in Saigon which is beautiful and this was a poor relation in every respect. Staff were very friendly but the facilities simply didn’t live up to my expectations. The best thing was that bed was extremely comfortable and I had a great nights sleep both nights The hotel was deserted due to the borders being closed and I hope the Sofitel management could use the opportunity with no guests to spruce things up

Nice location, great breakfast (croque monsieur, etc… excellent service. However, junior suit had a bad smell, internet is a bit slow.
