"the room we stayed in was on the ground floor, right at the back of the hotel, with a window and ac. basic and small room, but clean with a decent shower and a safe for your valuables. breakfast was simple, not a wide variety, but served in a nice open-air atrium type of room. the massage in the hotel was good and very relaxing. there's free wifi everywhere, unfortunately the signal wasn;t strong enough in our room. the location was very good, close to jonker street and any other points of interest, but still quiet at night. make sure to check out the local market close to the hotel on saturday (exit from the back side) if you want to avoid the touristy jonker street with it's night market. staff was friendly and very helpful. we booked a bike-tour via eco-bike tours which was a great 2-3 hours easy bike-ride outside of the city with a lot of info on local vegetation, rubber, herbs etc. can be booked via the hotel. "The hotel is worth for value, we checked in on Saturday have free complimentary buffet breakfast. Their staff are friendly and helpful, willing to provide information. It is actually have some distance to Jonker Street, does not considered too far away, but the street to there is quite dark at night due to all shoplots there were closed. Moreover nearby the hotel does not have restaurant or 7-eleven, the nearest one located at Jonker Street. We are satisfied with the room space, very large space for Double Standard Room, the hotel did provided good facilities for us too, such as iron, water to refill, hair dryer. There are 2 important weaknesses, one of it was the the TV, the screen cannot be maintain as full screen, we cannot watch any channel although it did have Astro channel. Another point is the room does not have good sound insulation, all sounds from upstairs, next door or outside we can heard it, it affected our sleeping quality at night because there are noisy sound from upstairs and outdoor. "to me, the location is just nice. few minutes walk to jonker street. lotsa eateries nearby to ensure your tastebuds are constantly tantalised. among those must tries is chung wah chicken rice. yumm...the best hainanese chicken rice i've tasted so far. historical places are just another 5-10 mins walk from jonker street. walk even further, you will reach mahkota parade shopping mall. it's like heaven especially for sight seers, like me, who have been walking under hot sun. on the condition of the room, it's great :) definitely worth the price for what i'm paying. comfortable bed with extra pillows. kettle is provided to savour the complimentary coffee provided by the management. hot water shower and of course, television to keep you entertained. staffs are friendly and absolutely quick to serve :) good job!
