A return visit to the Phucome Hotel”
This is our second stay at the Phucome Hotel and this stay took place during the week. We arrived at 3.00pm on the Thursday and were quickly booked in and shown to our room on the sixth floor. We had requested a quiet non smoking room and that is what we got. After unpacking back to reception to check our options on transport to Doi Suthep. Good directions given as to where to catch the local transport, so off we went. On our return to the hotel, off for an early night as my Wife was running in the Doi Suthep Mini Marathon at 06.00 the next morning. Good night's sleep, good run then back to the hotel for breakfast. There was a good selection of both Thai & European food available and we enjoyed our breakfast. Back to our room for a couple of hours sleep before checking out at 12.00 and then a steady drive home. Good value, pleasant stay and helpful staff sums up this stay.

Peter & Wi Stay at the Chiang Mai Phucome Hotel ”
We made our booking at the last minute, my Wife was due to run in the Doi Suthep mini marathon and we needed a hotel near to the start so we chose the Phucome after reading the previous reviews. On our arrival we found our room ready and the staff were very helpfull in getting us settled in and giving directions on how to get to the start of the marathon. After the run we arrived back at the hotel, congratulations to my Wife from the staff as she had won one of the cups, good shower and breakfast. When we checked out the lady said she hoped we would come again and wished us a safe journey.

Stay in Chiang Mai Phucome Hotel ”
Phucome Hotel in Chiang Mai is pleasant, better than average low price hote there. They have good comfortable and quite big rooms with good beds. breakfast was a nice mix up of western and thai tastes. Only downside for me was its longer distance to the older parts of the city. But this is actually not so big issue, because you can get anywhere in the city easily and with cheap prize by a taxi or a tuk-tuk.

Good service, reasonable price”
The hotel offers nice reasonably priced rooms with mountain views for the rooms at the back, with lots of choices for Thai and American breakfasts. Its location near Chiang Mai University makes it popular for local groups to hold conferences and functions there. If you don't use the Internet much, then you will probably enjoy your stay - but Wifi connectivity is poor and the signal keeps dropping, and on several days I was unable to connect at all and had to go to the Internet cafe across the street. Hotel staff are courteous and friendly, but the rooms are older and the carpets are dirty. I don't have much complaints for the $24-28 per night I am paying, though.

Excellent hotel for the price”
It's an excellent hotel for the price. The hotel itself has good restaurants and shopping centre. A few metres away is a big market, including a street for shopping late night. The rooms are not like in luxury hotels, but comfortable enough for those who come to Chiang Mai to be out the whole day and have a comfortable evening in their rooms. As compared to other hotels, it's a bit far away from the posh city area. From the railway station, a tuk-tuk or a taxi will charge around 250 Bh.

Not Bad”
I like this hotel room, it is cleaned and location is good..I have a good service in this hotel.. room rate is cheap. Have internet service on 24 hours. I really hope to have a trip to Chiangmai again and stay at Phucome hotel again. Keep the good rate and good service!

Chiang Mai Phucome”
I selected this hotel because it is not far from Doi Suthep or Chiang Mai Zoo and also easy to go to travel in the city. The prices are okay when reserving via Agoda. Its location is easy to take you to other interesting places (Ratchapruak Garden, Doi Inthanon, or various resorts in Mae Rim). However, their food buffet has to be improved as they are not much variety for visitors.

Grand old hotel with lots of Thai wood panelling.”
I choose this hotel, because its close to the Zoo and a Muay Thai club. But its a ways a way from the old city,i.e not walkable. My wife liked the 60 Tv channels. The breakfast buffet is terrible, even my Thai wife thought the food was bad. There is a Dunkin donuts outlet on one side of this very large hotel. The barman was very kind in filling my wife's hot water bag, every night. This hotel is very popular with Thai government employees, you wont see many tourists here. They have two types of "massage",both of which are not cheap. The happy ending massage place is very discrete.I like the lobby full of wood sculptures and wood panelling everywhere. There is a 7-11 on the main road, across from the Dunkin donuts. The pool is too small, with no shallow end.

A Nice Hotel Away From Hustle & Bustle of City”
Overall not too bad a hotel in terms of value for money. The rooms are newly refurbished and excellent. Location is within the university Chiangmai area that is green and wooded and near by good restaurants and internet cafes. Service is good. Breakfast is ok.

Chiangmai Phucome”
I was just awared just on check-in date that the hotel has 2 buildings. Believe it or not, althought managed by the same management team, these 2 buildings are priced significantly different. Too bad for me, I've booked 1 double-bed room for 2 nights at around THB 1,000 each night, but I saw very big ad on the other building saying in Thai that "Big Promotion: THB 499"........what?????? I've asked the reception, and she argue with hard tone that the room is smaller, breakfast is Thai, not ABF, bla bla bla. The other thing is the receptions are not willing to help anything. There's no hair dryer in the room!!! I asked whether I can borrow from the front. Without thinking, she said "no!!!". Although finally I get one from her, I needed to ask three times. Very bad experience. I bet you could find HIP hotels in the city w/ cheaper price!!!

Chiang Mai Phucome”
I stayed at this hotel only for a night to attend a meeting at the Chiang Mai University. Staff at front desk was not helpful for check in and provided information about the city. It was my first time in this city and want to stay at the hotel near the university. So, I decided to stay there. There was no taxi service and staff did not help to find taxi too. I had to walk and find taxi by myself. During the cheking, it was bad service again. Staff did not check that I already paid for the hotel before checking in and kept calling me with unfriendly conversation on my cell phone asking me to go back and pay for my room. This hotel is suck ...never ever stay there.

Old Thai style hotel”
I was working at Chiangmai University which is walking distance. Nice hotel, but old. Lots of teak wood done in a traditional Thai manner. Big room. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Close to several restaurants and bars. Good value for money. I will stay here again.

Experience of Chiangmai Phucome Hotel”
This hotel is recommended by Thai friend, who told me it has good location, not far from either downtown or Doi Suthep. Well, it is, but a bit far from city center. Staff are friendly and helpful there, breakfast is also good, but it's a pity that this hotel has no Thai style.

Hotel that has seen better days.”
I was dissapointed with this hotel. The hotel sent staff to help but I still could not get online. Wasting time for that made me late for a meeting. On return I asked for a different room but still could not get online. Eventually got online for about 10 minutes and then it cut off. A few other bad points. There was room service but no menu in room and they could not supply one. There was a phone in the room but no directory or indication on the phone the nubmers to call for reception, room service, operator etc. There is safety boxes at reception. I had a problem with the safety box that was my fault but there was no-one on duty at reception in the middle of the night apart from a very young bell boy who had to call a slightly older bell boy. They were both very good trying to help but had limited knowledge. The hotel was clean and is large old wooden Thai style building that is quite popular with Thai travellers. The breakfast was reasonable.

Old hotel”
Even though it's old but the bathroom seems to be renovated. The popularity of this hotel seems low. Even as I stay during New Year, the hotel seems not populated.
