Very nice huge hotel, standard Huay Kaew wing is not the nicest wing which is why it is cheaper and you have to pay quite a it for wifi if you want it, which I didn't, but you still have access to the fitness center, pool, and an awesome breakfast included with Thai and foreign food. I think you can find cheaper hotels but it is quite nice. It is connected the second best shopping mall in Chiang Mai, which is less fancy but also cheaper and more Thai. I like it. You can get a taxi type truck at the main road which is a little bit of a walk but doable. If you want to be near the center of a lot of business this is probably not the place for you. Even though it connected to a shopping mall it is on the back side and quiet. You can rent motorbikes across from the mall if you want to get around also. That might be be cheaper than taking red trucks if you want to look around the city and you can stop where ever you want.

I would definately stay here again. The hotel has a great view both from the roof and from the rooms. The rooms were cleaned daily and were very large. The free fresh fruit was also a very nice touch. It is very close to central department store and just a short ride to the Chiang Mai Zoo, University, Aquarium, Doi Suthep and the Super Highway, but it is not noisy. There is a great outdoor buffet right behind the hotel which is great and offers live music as well. There are also many restaurants on Huay Kaew Rd. It is not in the city square but definately not far. Worst thing about the hotel was the swimming pool hygiene. Since the corridors of the hotel was not air conditioned (nor are the rooms when you are gone) it was often times muggy and unpleasant. It can also be difficult to find at first. (easiest way to get there is to go down huay kaew and turn right, from the city, onto the super highway and make the turnaround... You will see the Chiang Mai Grandview and the Furama is just down the street back towards Huay Kaew. I hope you enjoy your stay as well but remember each person is different and so are their opinions :)

Tucked away off the main road you find this cul-de-sac where the boutique Pingnakorn Huay Kaew Hotel rests, away from the noisy streets but still very accessible to the main old square. Beautiful decor throughout the premises. Most balconies will face a nice view of trees, city, and mountains in the background. The restaurant, pool, Jacuzzi, and fitness area is all located on the second floor in a semi-open environment. Pool area is very picturesque. Laundry available (offsite, nearby) for reasonable price if needed. Rooms were well Kept and cozy. Breakfast was good. A mix of Thai and western. But there needs to be more attention to serving a variety of fruits. Most mornings only pineapple was available. Mangoes, papaya, banana, etc. were rarely served. Mangoes served only 2 of our 6 days, which is unacceptable when visiting Thailand, known for there amazing mango plantations. Hotel staff were very well-mannered, helpful and courteous. There is a free hotel taxi available for nearby locations. If looking to go further into the old square, they can help to get a taxi for you. Most destinations to Old Square by taxi will cost between 60-100 BHT. Recommended restaurants nearby (5-10 min away): Rustic & Blue (5 Star; Organic choices, Non-veg & veg choices; quiet and quaint; superb food; small courtyard with hammocks) River Market Restaurant (5 Star; Very nice and traditional vibe, good drinks and food; Thai and Western options; has grassy area so if you have kids can have them run around while taking a minute to relax; way better experience than the restaurant DASH which was recommended to us)

So the Agoda descriptions aren't that great. X2 Vibe Chiang Mai has two buildings. One is a short-term residence building, the other are typical hotel rooms. The residence building rooms have a separate bedroom and TV room. This is great for small families. What would have worked out better for us (2 adults, 3 kids) would have been rooms side-by-side, but Agoda doesn't really mention that when they list the types of rooms available. Staff is great! The pool is located in a shaded area; it only get sun about 2 hours of the day, so it's pretty cold. The breakfast is great, but it's the same every day. This doesn't bother me, because it was high quality every day, but if you need variety, you might look towards something else. The BEST thing about the hotel is its location. Its within walking distance of the MAYA mall and there are a number of non-sketchy massage services around. It's easy to find tuk-tuks and song teows for transportation (but I'd use Uber or GrabCar if I were you)

I have stayed here three times now, my third stay I had the air con leak in my camera and computer, I told the staff when I woke, and they said they would send someone to my room, literally one minute later the general manager knocked on my door, I showed him the problem, and immediately they upgraded my room sent me a hand written note about y situation not some general note they give to everyone. My camera was fine it was wrapped in plastic and my computer got a little damaged, they sent it to the best computer place in Chiangmai to get fixed and payed for it, I’m seriously blown away buy the customer service I received here and I will recommend this hotel to every person I talk to who is going to Chiangmai for me there’s not price you can put on customer service and they went above and beyond here, so if your looking for a super clean great staff and location I recommend staying here hands down best place in Chiangmai

It's not in the city or Nimanhamin area. It's between Maya(big shopping mall) and ChiangMai university. Still everything is near : 7-eleven, local market, massage shop, restaurants. You can feel little bit of local atmosphere here.I choose this hotel for my 3rd ChiangMai visiting as I don't really stick to the essential tourist visiting points this time. I walked to Huai Kaeo Aboretum and Huai Kaeo waterfall, Malin plaza,etc. Staffs are all friendly and kind enough to help and listen.Rooms are basic but convenient enough. You can hear dog's barking & chicken's crying in the morning but not very anoying as I expect this noise in Chiang Mai anyway. Small local market is near and Changkian temple ( Be careful when you go into the temple as 3 big dogs without collar or lead and very agressive to stranger. I was surrounded by them it was very scary.. One monk got out hearing barking noise and helped me out. So I can say not to go into the temple as it's small temple and not special.) Overall I would like to stay agin mainly because of nice staffs and clean room.

Me and my dad (ages 30 n 60) stayed at the pause n play for two nights but the place was so nice and service incredible so we decided to stay a third(our last night in Thailand) there aswell! Loved the mountain view, the easily accessible location, the reastaurant, the rooms, the staff especially Pek who we really need to give a special thanks! I work in a hotel myself and can say the world would be paradise if more people were like him, he made our stay feel like we were in the best hands and we were! Thank you Pek ! It is an amaaaazing hotel. Greaaaaat service. I really praised my friend for finding this hotel out. Hope this hotel for the best but at the same time, hope this place doesn't become a tourists' hub T-T Anyways. I'd give 6 stars if I could

The hotel itself and the facilities are very good and the staff are really trying their best. Anyway the staff have to get much more practice. The staff seemed too insecure to be working in a 4 star hotel and they all spoke very poorly English. Except for the chauffeur who picked me up from the airport. For instance I asked for towel and the waiter I asked had to bring me to the front desk for me to ask again. I ordered room service: fried rice with chicken. They brought me fried chicken with noodles and forgot to bring knife and fork. I called the restaurant to tell. The person at the restaurant ask severel times if I want knife and fork and for how many people. I tell several times that I ordered one dish and only wanted fork and knife for one person. But the staff was trying their best. The owner should train them better though.

the best hotel and service aprtment in chiangmai incredible price Best location but you may need a car to travel everywhere. 2 kms to maya mall and nimmanhemin rd., 15-20 mins to chaingmai zoo and doi suthep. 4 kms to central festival chaingmai. The price is incredible, it's very cheap , the room is very big it's all you need also the kitchen! you can walk to the 7-11 and there are many street food outside at night only walk 5mins from the hotel. it is the way to maerim and i think b2 mountain is the best and also to away from the crowded but still not far from the downtown.

Depending on one's purpose of travel in Chiang Mai, V Residence serves our purpose very well, moving around CMU and going to adjacent districts like Mae Rim and Hang Dong. Located right at the last intersection of Huay Kaew Road before reaching the foot of Doi Suthep. Bunk bed in family room was better than expected, even being able to accommodate 2 adults in the bunk bed. The place has all we needs and suits both short-stay and long-stay guests. Good taste breakfast (serving only Thai heavy meal, no ABF). Recommended for budget trip in Chiang Mai.

This Hotel is advertised as a 4 star and there is no way it is 4 star quality. At the very best I could only rate this as a good 2 star. The location is good but very noisy. The cleanliness . Overall a disappointing experiencewas patchy with plenty of signs of black mold both in bathroom and pool area. I found the breakfast meagre and expensive. The staff were very pleasant but the overall feeling was that someone had tried to make the hotel trendy and modern but had failed miserably because it was poorly maintained and had been done cheaply in the first place. The value was good not because of the hotel but because of the deal I got with Agoda.

Hotel room price is cheap. Location from the airport is not bad. I recommend to get a sim card and an unlocked phone download grab for your daily ride. Tuktuk ride will rip you off. Staff from the desk speaks a lil english but they are very helpful and they really try to understand you. Very polite staff and very accomodatingwith all our requests. They have a very modern hotel room designs. Large room. Cold AC. Clean bathroom. TV is in thai soo yeah. Terrace is nice where you can chill and watch the sun rise in the morning. Our room is in the 7th floor which is nice. The Lobby is very nice. You can hang out and listen to music and take pictures. Breakfast is always delicious although breakfast is not included in our itenerary they gave us free breakfast every morning. They have washer and drier in the basement cost 20 baht per load and drier 10 baht for 10mins coins only and buy your own soap in the convinient store nearby. Also there is a coffee shop next to the hotel. The coffee shop interior design is very much alike with the hotel. Very relaxing and modern vibe where you can chill and take pictures as well. Also I recommend to take the chiang rai white temple tour for a day. I bet you will never regret it! It was an amazing experience GetZleep! 😍 much love from your friend in the Philippines!

location: it's a short walk to kad suan kaew (central) mall. reaching nimmanhaeminda rd. is also manageable on foot, or at least for me. it's some distance away from the old city and the night bazaar, so it may not be advisable for first-time tourists in chiang mai who want to be close to the touristy stuff. i also encountered a tuktuk driver who did not know where or what it was, but he found it easily enough when i told him it's near central. sakulchai also doesn't appear in the free chang puak magazine that you can pick up randomly in establishments, but you can find it right behind the dome on a small alley off huay kaew rd. room: pretty nice and had all the basic stuff an overnighter would need. there was also a door leading to a small semi-open area where you could (i guess) smoke. i don't smoke, but that area became useful when i needed to hang some damp clothes to dry. i hung them under the aircon unit where they wouldn't be so visible from the outside. common area/ service: the elevator placement is weird. it opens on staircase landings instead of the actual floors where you find the rooms, so you can't avoid having to lug your bag up/down a (short) flight of stairs. but it shouldn't be much of a bother unless you have really heavy luggage. receptionists were nice enough to arrange a taxi to take me to the airport, and they also stored my stuff for me after i checked out so i could go around the city freely. they didn't give me a stub or any proof of identity though, so i kind of feared for a while that anyone could pretend to be me and steal my stuff lol.

the hotel is located on Huay Kaew road and just behind the Harbour community mall so it's quite convenient. the room is okay but there is no balcony and the condition of the room is quite rundown though it looks nice with thai style touch and decoration. need improvement on the maintenance of the room. one of the ceiling tile was hanging and almost fell off when we stayed there. we didn't have the breakfast there so i couldn't provide review on the food. overall, it's worth the money but there are a lot of options in chiang mai so unless you need to stay in this location, you'd better look for better one with cheaper price.

The rooms were quiet in spite of the nearby main road and could be accessed all day.Plenty of hot water. Bedding and towels changed daily.Spacious bedroom with wide beds.TV and video in rooms.Restaurants nearby with good food. Altogether this budget ranks with some of the better 3 star hotels we have stayed in.

My girl friend her 4 years old and I stayed at Khum Phucome Hotel for 2 night, celebrating her birthday. We booked the Family Suite for her Parents and Grandparents to stay in. The stayed was very nice. The people working there were very nice and courteous. The hotel location is very centralize close to a lot of tourist attractions. The room was very nice and spacey. The Suite compost of two bed room one masterbedroom king size bed with attach bathroom plus one bedroom with two single bed and extra bathroom with Shower. Also there is a good size central living room and a small pantry though the stove was not in working order. Breakfast was great not to many selection but everything was well prepared and tasty. Though you have to get down to the cafeteria before 9.00 else some of the goody will run out :D. The swimming pool is a bit small but great size for family with small children. because it is easier to keep them safe. The water is a bit cold it would be nice to have heated pool. Over all the stayed was very pleasant. If you have 4-5 peaple travelling together The Family Suite at The Khum Phucome Hotel might be something you might be a great choice for you.

The Rhen Come In is more than just a boutique hotel it is a gem in the city of Chiang Mai. My wife Angela and I have never felt more welcome. As soon as we entered this overwhelmingly magnificent golden teak villa we were greeted with warm smiles in traditional Thai ceremony by all the staff and the gorgeous managing director, Pimwalan. The owner and staff treated my wife and I like family. We have travelled to many places stayed in some of the world’s finest hotels and dined in Michelin star restaurants, but no one has ever been so attentive to our every need. To give you an example, one evening we completely lost track of time eating and talking with new friends and the restaurant staff – all of them – the cook, the waiter, the cleaner, everyone, waited on us well past their shifts had ended to ensure we were happy. If we had known the sacrifice we would have left much earlier, but experiencing such a service, I have never seen. What’s so fascinating about this ‘culture-rich oasis’ in the vicinity of the charming and exotic city centre with its numerous Temples, is the story of the hotel itself. The actual building could not be more authentic and in its own right is a heritage home made from the “Golden Teak” timber of five old houses from the area which is so rare and over 100 years old. There is nothing in the world quite like it. Tradition is truly celebrated here - everything from the building’s history to the cuisine is true to the region. Some would call this place a Centre for Wellbeing. The food is all organic and hand-picked from the hotel’s gardens fresh every day. We spent many a day wandering the garden with Pimwalan.

We have spent four nights over there. The room was big and clean, and no awful smell in bathroom. Because I like hard mattresses, so the bed for me is awesome. Front desk are very nice and warm. Free parking, awesome pool everything just perfect. Great value for money and you won’t be disappointed.

We booked 2 nights , first night we didn’t get drinking water , bathrobe , the second night we didn’t get towel. 2. My sister booked 2 nights for deluxe room with diff bookings and want to continue stay at the same room and texted the staffs through email in advance, at first front staff asked us to move but after show email then they are ok to let us stay at the same room . So pls make sure that you keep evidence that you contact with staffs properly. Overall this hotel is ok , will recommend to friends to stay .

Shane hotel has it all. It is very simple but practical with all the essentials for a room. The rooms were spacious and the showers were, probably, the best shower (hot water and good pressure) that we have had in a long time traveling. The breakfast was very good but doesn't have a variety of choices that you would find in a big hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all an excellent option for those that do not want to be in the middle of the tourist sector.

This was my first stay at this hotel. Our 11th floor room faced Doi Suthep mountain, and the view was great. Only 15 minutes from airport. The restaurant food was superb as well, especially the ridiculously low-priced buffet lunch. Staff efficiency needs a bit of upgrading, however. I carefully explained to the manager, upon check-in, that I had a tight schedule the morning of my checkout, with a flight at 6:10 a.m. I planned to check out at 4:50 a.m., and they promised a van for airport transfer at 5 a.m. Airport transfers were part of my package. I communicated in both Thai and English to make sure the message was clear. At check out, the morning staff knew nothing about my request. I had to point to the book where they kept van requests (I had seen the previous staff write my request in it). He opened the book and told me that he had written down 5 P.M. rather than A.M. I countered by asking why he would allow me to check out at 4:45 PM, without charging for late check-out. No reply. They had to find a staff person who would use a car to take us, as the van driver was apparently still asleep somewhere. When I got to the airport (late), the driver tried to charge me 200 Baht for the trip. I explained that airport transfers were part of my package, which he didn't accept. Haggling ensued. I swore I could hear my plane's motors revving up. I told him to called back to the front desk, at which he dropped the matter. We made the flight. Without this sort of lack of communication among their staff, this would have been a perfect stay. I would probably try to stay there again, assuming this is a one-time fluke.

Pros: The coffee shop is very good. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. The pool is small but clean and not overwhelmed with children. When I mentioned that we reserved a room with a bathtub, they made arrangements for us to switch rooms with an upgrade. This is a great hotel for people living in Thailand and looking for a small vacation from the typical tourist spots. Cons: We had a strange encounter with the woman that owns the vegan restaurant on the property, and therefore could not eat there the rest of our trip. The hotel is about a five minute drive to Maya mall and other shopping centers but it is a pretty long walk. Therefore it is a *bit* inconvenient if you don’t have a car. If you are wanting to go to the old town, this is not in a convenient location.

Truly pleasant 4 nights stay at this little trendy place - we can call it home. Breakfast is fresh and healthy as it provides mixed fruit/nuts yogurt with jam, coffee and Thai dessert of the side. I have been to Chiangmai three times and this is the only place which I was not annoyed by mosquitos, thanks to the double door on ground floor. Convenient location although it was hided towards the end of an alley (Soi) but every driver knows Central kad suan kaew so you wont be lost. Quiet but safe little community surrounded by laundry shops, conveninence stores, street stalls, pharmacy and little restaurants, we popped out late in the evening for food. Customer Service is good and we met two beautiful and helpful front desk staff (Noon and Cake), they are awesome, they called your name every morning and sounds like you are called by friends - Sweet! Dont miss the very famous Northern Thai Noodle - Khao Soy Kai (curry noodle with Chicken) when you are in Northern Thailand. And you will be even happier if you tried Maesai Khao Soy Kai, the very local and famous and cheap noodle, 3mins walk from Pyur Otel (just come out from hotel turn right, first little intersection turn left, then next intersection turn left agin, you will be there enjoying the lovely local noodl and milk tea at 40Bht and 10Bht respectively. sound proof not good enough and we can hear slamming doors and people taking shower next door. Choose Delux room next time!

In our second time in Chiang Mai, my wife and I chose this hotel for its low rates and high reviews. Compared to the 4 star hotel during our first stay, Mayu was just as accomodating at a far better value. This hotel has a brand new look with all the necessary amenities. It has a large(long) outdoor pool, spacious gym with numerous machines and dumbells and superb breakfast with enough variety so we didn't tire after 6 days. BTW, try the awesome khao soi at the restaurant Pensen just 50m from the hotel. Above all, the entire staff was friendly and made our stay as comfortable as I can imagine. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again in our next visit to CM. The only strange thing is we needed to deposit 1000 baht cash during check in instead of a credit card.

For the money, you can do better. It’s newer and in a great location but rooms are very basic and small. Rooms in the front are right on Huay Kaew Rd., it’s well soundproofed but still a bit noisy. A perforated brick wall sits about 2m in front of the big windows, which helps w the noise but it’s not a very nice view. It felt confining. Breakfast is simple, Thai style in a nearby restaurant.

It was exceptional! Everything surpassed my expectations and made me raise the bar on 5 star hospitality going forward. I strongly recommend it for all of you out there that demand nothing but the best from a luxury hotel!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were welcoming from the moment go. Checked in smoothly and studio was everything I needed and more. Very clean and close enough to Maya shopping centre and Nimman. Also there is a fantastic Italian Lapin next door. Very impressed.
