The Keanu Reeves of hotel”
Yes I stand with the title of my review that this hotel is the Keanu Reeves of hotels in Jogja. Why? Because for one, he’s old. Undeniably old. But it’s not a reason that stops him from being awesome or having incredible personality, just like the Jogja Grand Hyatt. The hospitality of the staff is top notch, their facility remains awesome up to this day, and the food (especially their complimentary Wingko) is delicious. It has pools with slides that made me jump in for more than 6 times, and I’m 42 years old. The jogging track has hills & straights that caters to beginners or seasoned runners. The petting zoo allows you to play with huskies or pet a snake, or cats. Your choice. Their golf field with morning view of Merapi also is a gem for eyes. It might be old or lacking the gloss that newer hotels like Tentrem has, but so does Keanu Reeves, and yet he remains one of my favorite actors out there.

One of the best hotels in this part of the world”
My family and I are regulars in this amazing place. Kid-friendly, super helpful staff combined with a laid-back atmosphere, and great architecture in a beautifully landscaped setting make this one of the best places one could stay. And it is highly affordable. Icing on the cake: stunning views of mount Merapi on clear days.

Hotel on spacious green property nestled beside a golf course”
Set back off the main road this older, well-established hotel offers excellent service. The grounds are so well manicured and all facilities are so aesthetically pleasing. The room was clean, the food was excellent, the staff was super helpful. The breakfast bar was amazing—- such a variety of food that was all so delicious! The room was clean, bed was comfortable, bathtub had hot water and a/c worked well. My only suggestion for a quiet room would be to ask the staff upon checkin for a room not close to families with children. Neighboring guests were noisy until late at night but that was not the hotel’s fault. We would love to stay here again!

Top notch services with great atmosphere. We had a really please stay. It was relaxing and calming. Really a great place to stay. As what many others have said, the place is quite old and in need of some fixing. However, as what I told my family member, this place is like a wise, gentle and kind old man. The body is old but the service is tip top. The pleasant experience we encountered made up for everything else that are lacking and we will definitely come back again when we're in Jogja.

Always Great Service...”
We have been here numerous times and everytime we left and felt very satisfied with the service, staff's friendliness, facility, room cleanliness, and especially the breakfast. The swimming pool with surrounding trees is very relaxing and clean. In the room, they gave local traditional cakes. Room amenities were satisfactory. Breakfast has been this hotel's strong point to me particularly with so many choices of dishes including traditional javanese herbal drinks or jamu. Great service. We did not try the new resto and attraction of ATV. Probably next time we will. In all we feel great about this hotel and definitely Hyatt will be our first choice when we visit Yogyakarta.

Relaxing staycation! ”
My first time staying at Hyatt Jogja as a local. I’m impressed with staff friendliness esp Ayla who has been very nice and helpful also with other staff. Their “nice” feels sincere. Not an “SOP” nice if you know what I mean. My daughter also very happy with the facilities such as mini zoo, bike and scooter. The space is very large and a lot to explore. Definitely become on top of my staycation list.

Extremely friendly and helpful staffs”
We stayed for 5 nights with 2 young kids. The bathroom is a bit dated but very clean. There were 3 lifts but only 2 were operating so the waiting time can be up to a few minutes during breakfast time. That said, the staffs were really the differentiating factor for this hotel. They were very polite, helpful and responsive. When we arrived, we were greeted with welcome drinks and they took the time to explain the facilities to us. One of them even walked us to our rooms. They took a picture of our family, framed it and sent it to our room as a surprise. Very nice personal touch. Will definitely come back simply because of the friendly staffs. One thing Hyatt globally can improve would be their membership service. I wanted to sign up to their loyalty membership but couldn't because someone else in the US had used my email address. I wrote an email to Hyatt World about this and their response was rather disappointing. No apologies either. But it's OK, maybe just cultural differences there. Overall, we love the Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta staffs. Please keep up the great hospitality!

Old but amazing hotel”
It has been built for 30 years or more now. Very well maintained for public area as well as in the room facilitates. Pool is amazing. Moreover, there is a swing in the pool that we love a lot. No doubt that we love to stay by the golf course and chipping area is great. Golf related drinks must be stock up in the restaurant to serve the golfers obviously there is no sport drink except alcohol.

The best place you can find ”
This hotel is amazing. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel grounds are like a Jurassic setting and maintained to a really high standard and can be super romantic. There are also many activities you can do during your stay at the hotel and don't need to spend much time in your room. The only improvement I'd suggest is about the electronics in the rooms need upgrading so people can use their devices for entertainment.

Great hotel a little bit far from the city center”
The first impression is - grey concrete modern building surrounding by garden. But inside decor is colonial style and garden is very well maintained balinese style of garden with very good spa and small driving range/golf. The room decor is little bit outdated but everything works well. Entrance to Club was additional plus for take a rest with small snacks free of charge.

Excellent Hospitality”
The staff at Hyatt Regency were fantastic. Thank you, especially to Alya (Frontdesk) who was so delightful to help us when we first arrived and before we left the hotel. One of the Chef, pak Seno, was also very friendly, offered their super yumm croissant and made the time to chat with us. My daughter love all the activities provided and of course, the pool slides... Noicee... :)

Authentic Personal Service”
The experience staying is Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta was well above expectations. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we were surprised by the attention given to us by all the staff. When we arrived, we were escorted immediately to the Regency Club Lounge for check in. The staff in the lounge were all accommodating but one stood among the rest. Ms. Melryna helped us with literally everything during our stay- from our sightseeing service, to our breakfast and transfers. Also, we appreciate that she remembers our names and personally greets us every time we arrive at the lounge. The hotel is timeless charm of Javanese ambiance and its a destination itself. We enjoyed the variety of breakfast options and also with the Ala carte dining. Overall, Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta is a hidden gem that travelers need to visit when in Indonesia.

Great hotel for vacation / staycation. Nice outdoor view,lot of photo spots. Complate facility such as Jogging track,bicycle,grab wheel around hotel,swimming pool,gym,golf course and others.Breakfast buffet has alot variants n delicious food.The staff are helpful n friendly.
