"Elm Pension is special for its hosts' care and personal touch. Toshi and his wife are kind, caring, and will go above and beyond in making sure your stay is memorable and unique. I was a bit concerned about the location of the pension but found it much less of a problem than expected (largely since Toshi made sure I'm at the slopes early in the morning, and back to Onsen/dinner afterward). Finally, the discounted lift tickets and ski rental were a great way to both save a few bucks, as well as keep everything simple (by having everything a one-stop-shop solution) I had a superb time staying there, and will definitely stay there again when I'm back at Madarao "
