The guesthouse is close to Ijen when and Supri can arrange a trip to the volcano with his friend (a bit expensive though). It's a remote village, don't expect clean sheets and clean bathroom. ...

The people that run this operation (particularly Supree (probably spelled that incorrectly)) are so kind! The home is actually owned for one of the lead sulfur miners at Mount Ijen, and there's a cool 5 min documentary on him. The place also came with a driver which was super helpful since it's quite far from the main road - this will give you a real village experience! The people in the village are also so so so nice.

There was a little mix up as we were leaving re: driver payment to the train station - we had been asked to pay someone else beforehand, and the driver asked to be paid once we were dropped off even though we had paid someone else at the homestay beforehand. Also the shower is more like 1 cold stream of water, but this is a small matter.

Very nice people, the lady cooks amazing food - both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Her husband is a miner at Ijen crater. They don't speak any English. This is compensated by talkative Supri, a local guide to Ijen, who manages several homestay in the neighborhood. He will organize a tour for you and anything else you would need. A a guide he is very knowledgeable and accommodating. I'm glad I climbed Ijen with him, though it was pricier than other agencies will offer.

This is a very simple homestay with basiс facilities used to stay for 1 night, so it is more of a local experience rather than discomfort. If you stay with a local family in their village, you can't expect hot water, family members speaking English or nightlife around.

The place feels like a home! Staff Supri was very helpful and did his best to make us feel happy in every possible way! Best place to stay when you want to visit Ijen. He has also very good contacts of guides who can speak good english!

The lighting in the toilet could have been more brighter. Ventilation could be more inside rooms.

What made our 3 nights at Ijen Adventure Inn the best part of our tour of Indonesia were our two hosts, Waffa et Dora (sorry guys for probably very much mis-spelling your names !!). They were so nice with us from day 1, when they picked us up at the train Station, made sure we stopped at an ATM where we wanted to get cash, then at a Grocery shop where we also had things to buy. Arrived at their place, we wanted to play cards. We ask them if they have any. 2 minutes later Dora is back with an set of cards completely new for us ! Dora was a very good guide when we went to Ijen during the night: we recommend going with them. When we had nothing planned one day, they showed us a beautiful waterfall close to their village, a coffee plantation where we saw our first Luwaks, while explaining everything from a very down-to-earth, honest way. They brought us to a dark-sand beach that was very enjoyable. They are alway down to laugh with you and love jokes. Anyway, me and my 5 friends had an awesome time and would love to go back ! Kind hospitality of the guest house and people in local village

The hosts are very nice and welcoming. We made the Ijen Tour with Gio who was very caring. Ari, the owner of the house is a miner, we met him on top. They also took us to a waterfall, coffee plantation and to rice fields. All was very well organized. They picked us up and dropped us at the train station. They serve local breakfast which is very good. You can also have dinner if you want. The atmosphere of the village is lovely. Everyone is so nice. You can enjoy the real Indonesian life there. Thank you for everything!

It's a very basic homestay but the atmosphere is truly worth it.

The best hostel we have been in on our trip in Indonesia. The people are very kind and help you always. It was nice to interact with the locals and their kids.
