A One-of-a-Kind Experience”
The place was very good and we were assisted by the very friendly and very hospitable staff/owner from the time of booking til we checked out. Wong even fetched us when we arrived near the place and drove us to a noodle haus for dinner with welcome drinks. When we checked-out early the next day, he drove us to the place near the tourist spots. That was a very personalised one-of-a-kind experience. So glad to choose Ipoh Discovery Homestay. The owner's care for his guests is really incredible and rare to be found”
Mr Wong, the owner deserves a 6 star rating for a humble under priced good quality accommodation facilities in Ipoh. His care starts right from booking to after check out. Absolutely touching like family members. He even called me to check up on my physical concern as his house cleaning staff noticed drops of blood in my bathroom. Now, that is 6 stars, whatelse can be added really!

the price is very cheap yet the room was very clean. They provide iron and water filter outside the room. The place was quite at night, can have a good rest. Just a short distance from Ipoh new town and new town. The host also very nice and sensitive to customer' need.

Not suitable for elderly as need to climb the stairs Location wise okay. Cleanliness superb If you are a light sleeper might not be so suitable as the homestay just beside the main road and you can hear the car passing by. No tv in the room, got water heater in the living room. Overall good homestay, and nearby famous Ipoh eatery by car Exp Mee Kicap Mar Jasak 8min Laksa Saranghae 10min Nasi Ayam Fauziah 11min

A good place to sleep in.”
After a long day of touring around Ipoh, this holiday house is a decent place to crash for a good night’s sleep. While there isn’t much going on around its nearby surroundings at night, it fits the value-for-money bill. The bed sizes are quite spacious too, which is a plus point. It’s just too bad that there isn’t a convenience store nearby to replenish your water-drinking necessities. I had to buy some from a “kopitiam” that’ll take 5 minutes of walking to reach. That is, if you have the courage to breeze past a stray dog or two. All in all, it’s a bang for your buck in today’s bustling Ipoh with Agoda’s price-slashing offers.

Very Friendly Owner”
The owner is very nice and friendly. Straight away call me after I make reservation thru Agoda. He keep in communication thru Whatsapp .Also he guide us to his location with Waze search and Whatsapp location. Hotel is still new (4 month old), so everything is nice. Room is without TV (I don't need need it, really). He even suggest which place best to hangout around Ipoh.

Room and toilet seems a little cramped, but its not so much different from a 2star or 3star hotel room space. There is a simple desk and stool within room. In fact, it is so much better than 2-3 star hotel room in terms of price, and its cleanliness. The regulations are strict towards hygiene. There is good wifi connection, and water dispenser with hot&room temperature water. Bathroom is small but water pressure is excellent with water heater. Clean place. Lots of parking bays. Park in front of hotel to be able to see your vehicle from your window. Surroundings can be creepy at night as you may be the only one there. Be vigilant. Within the vicinity is one or two kopitiams, with limited food range. Need 1-2 minute drive out to area around market to get to more kopitiams and cafes. It takes 10-15 minutes to get to town. You can get a good night's rest here. Air-condition is great. Place is quiet. Mr. Wong, who manages the place, is very helpful. Thank you for clean rooms.

Simple and nice to stay”
Hotel located a short distance from Ipoh town, but the location is good and has ample parking space available all the time. The bed is very comfortable and overall is good with the price. A very responsive owner is a bonus point during our stay.

Clean room helpful staff”
The room is clean and cozy with basic amenities. Water dispenser and ironing tools are available at the common area. My friends and I arrived quite late but before we arrived, we've got the door access password so we have a hassle-free check-in process. The staff even Whatsapp me the photos of the building so that we can easily identify it. The road outside of the guesthouse is very quiet at night. So there is no unwanted busy street noise even if the room is the front room nearest to the street.

Good budgetary stay”
The homestay is a shop lot which is nearby the Ipoh town. The room is clean but the soundproof of the room is not good. We can hear outside of our room clearly. The owner is very responsive. I would rate this is worth for money for budget stay.

Very clean room. It also located beside the road which means easy to take a taxi or grab. But its quite far from city—around 10-15 minutes. Overall, I really enjoy staying here✨

this is the place for tourist who prefer to go to city are, very near to all the famous food stall... clean room and friendly owner( mr wong)... However parking is not free, have to put on parking coupon before 6pm the rest are perfect
