Hotel front desk staff was very helpful and the location was great. Short walking distance to famous dim sum Foh San and Ipoh famous bean sprout and chicken rice shops. One can also shop for popular salted baked chicken and variety of biscuits within walking distance . Cleanliness and comfort is acceptable, value for money for the price you pay !

To the hotel’s left is Tong Shui Street (famous street with food n desserts but grossly overpriced n over rated but on everybody’s must go list) and Ipoh Parade Hotel (biggest mall in Ipoh but dont expect much) and to your right is Gerbang Night Mkt (top night mkt in Ipoh) MK Mart (thrift shop with superb deals, only for the fashion discerning) and the shopping street where u can find the Lao Wang or An Ji beansprout chicken rice, salted baked chicken, Tuck Kee 月光河粉, many shops selling pastries n coffee n stuff Ipoh is known for) and to the back is the dim sum restaurant (look for the big double story one, forgot the name). 20 minute grab drive away is Concubine Lanes (大奶，二奶，三奶）and kek lok temple/qing xin cultural village. 30 min away is the mirror lake. Follow this list n u basically have your 2-3 days Ipoh itinerary. U can bless me for this 😊 Hotel-wise, good old basic hotel with no fancy amenities but we were happy enough. Ask for the room not facing traffic if u r noise-sensitive.

Exceptional”
It is centrally located and walking distance to Ipoh Parade, a big shopping mall with movie theatres. Staff are friendly and offered umbrellas for our use as it was raining & we need to get dinner. Keep it up. 👍🏻

GOOD LOCATION AND EASILY ACCESSIBLE”
Have stayed in this hotel a number of times, love the location which is near to food outlets, shopping, foot massages and more. Only 2 disappointments are 1) the poor quality of WIFI especially in the rooms, hope the management can look into this, 2)the limited channels for TV viewing.

Ipoh Downtown Hotel”
Ipoh Downtown Hotel is at a very good location as it is walking distance to the famous dinner restaurants at Jalan Yau Tet Shin (5 mins; 450m) and dim sum restaurants at Jalan Leong Shin Nam (3 min; 210m). Carparking is very limited and depends on luck. Basic room amenities with good comfortable bed. Highly recommended for budget travelers.

Fabulous location in the centre of the town easy access to yummy food. Very wide, clean and comfortable room. However, we smelt cigarette smoke at our floor corridor on the first day we arrived, we think someone was smoking at the emergency stairway.

The Hotel To Stay if You Are At Ipoh”
The price is value for money. The room was spacious and clean. The toilet/bathroom was well equipped with a shower head, hot water and cold water as well. The staff was also very friendly. Enjoyed my stay there very much.

It was the last few nights that I realise the sweet soup street is actually right opposite the hotel!!! Those famous spots like kimberly street are just 20 minutes walking distance, and the street full of prominent restaurant are around 5-10 minutes walking distance. It is also very close to the bus station, where you can find bus take you to other cities or some more remote spot like the gua tempurung． I will definitely live in this hotel again next time The room is spacious, the Chinese old lady managing this entity is very efficient and gives clear orders, while the younger staffs seems to be more layback

We stayed in the 3beds suite. Everything is okay. Rooms are big, clean, and comfortable. We are very excited about the location. Really close to the famous restaurant. However, the wifi should be improved. We had to use 4G bcs wifi was very low.

LOCATION EASILY ACCESSIBLE ”
The location of this hotel is good very near to food outlets, shopping and others. The management must look into the hotel WIFI which is poor quality and also the limited TV channels. Parking in this hotel rather limited. Room facilities are adequate no complains. I stayed in this hotel due to its location.
