I had to stay there for some visits at the hospital next door. The staff was very helpful, clean and spacious room and a pool. I would have liked more vegetarian options at the breakfast. Overall great stay.

Value for money”
The staff were friendly and very helpful, especially when I found a flat tyre on our car the morning after arriving. The staff quickly arranged for the repair. The rooms were clean and tidy, breakfast was well catered to Asian and Western tastes, and the adjoining restaurant cafe had a big menu The only downsides were the pool was closed due to covid-19, and the location right by traffic lights meant access was a little difficult, especially heading into the city or towards the ferry piers

Depends of your visit to Trat ”
I was heading to koh Chang and stopped there for a night to see the city and local but hotel is based by the very busy road and there’s nothing to explore or see about city , restaurant was not servicing dinner so went out for dinner , breakfast was too poor for an European maybe good for local people It’s very very far from pier like 30 mins away from and 350 baht for a “taxi “ so if you’re a business person and coming to Trat for it then it might be a good location otherwise very far from airport and pier Room was ordinary hotel room , nothing special to talk about it So to sum up I don’t think it worth of money I paid for this hotel

Hotel was fantastic. Big clean room. Nice bedding and towels. Refrigerator and hot pot in room. Pool. Best breakfast so far in Thailand was included. Staff was helpful and spoke some English. Lotus store close by for shopping. Night market close by. We are coming back after an island visit before going to Cambodia.

City-Hotel with exeptional service”
Stayed for one night as stop-over before going to ferry pier for a trip to koh kood. Reception did every step of reservation (ferry-ticket and taxi-transfer) even on short notice with super-friendly atmosphere. Highly apreciated and felt very welcome. Kob koon khrap J.P. Grand Hotel.

Great but...”
Great hotel, stayed for one night. Maybe I'm asking for too much but no tea bags and no sugar !!! ?? Hotel restaurant is closed on a Monday and dining out in Trat isn't really an option. The night market opposite the hotel would have been an option, but the smell of poo and burnt insects put me off. We had toasties from the 7/11. Other travellers have had similar experiences. It is probably one of better hotels in Trat though and perfect for a stop en-route to other destinations.

Good hotel, but restaurant below expectations”
Nice hotel, nice staff. It is conveniently located for travellers and the rooms are nice. The hotel is let down however by its restaurant: the breakfast is very limited and the so-called restaurant doesn't even have wine for dinner (except some non-descript fruit-juice "wine" by the glass, with only the choice between red or white. To add insult to injury there was only red available when we were there). This hotel deserves a better menu and an extended drinks and wine list.
