It’s a home with new friends that you’ll find at Jawajiwa hostel! Place is lovely and Maryo, Lana and Rara are real friends, they care about you. Atmosphere really chilled, breakfast is good! And cute friendly cats!

Cool, chill spot! ”
This place was great! We ended up staying here for 4 nights, and stored a bag with them as we went off on a side trip. The room was great with a comfortable bed. There was lots of common space to hang out in, and I loved the outdoor bathroom/shower. The location was just what we expected - if you want something walkable you wouldn’t want to choose this place, but we had a scooter so it was no problem, still very close to town. Ovi and Tias were both very sweet - they hung out and helped us with translating, answered our questions as best as they could, and came to feel like friends! The one con we experienced was that we had booked this place based on previous reviews that mentioned Reza helped a lot with recommendation/planning. Like I mentioned, the girls were very friendly and helped us with questions, but we found ourselves having to do a lot more of the legwork/research than we had anticipated.

Chill homestay that truly feels like an international family”
AMAZING staff AMAZING vibes AMAZING natural setting If you’re looking for a chill, welcoming place with staff that is simply the best, go to Jawajiwa. I intended to stay in Yogyakarta for only two days and stayed 5 - the location is so lovely with the rice paddy fields and the staff made me feel so welcome and I can happily call them friends. I can’t wait to come back and visit them. Much love to you all! I don’t want to leave!!

Exceptional”
We stayed for a week and loved it. The rooms are big and clean. The double bed was amazing and had the best and most comfy matress we had in all our travels. But what really sets this hostel apart from the others is the incredibly nice and helpful staff. Reza went out of his way to help us with every thing you could imagine from helping to get a new smartphone, finding hidden temples or getting healthy again in case of masuk angin ;). You immediately feel at home in the relaxed atmosphere and then there also is a fluffy little kitten. We can truly recommend jawajiwa to anyone.

probably the best hostel ive stayed in for all my travel. the staff there are so nice being your friends and hanging out with you. the atmosphire is so relaxed. great breakfest. nice rooms common area and garden. also have a kitchen and fridge. nothing more to ask. מקום מדהים! אנשים טובים ואווירה מעולה. ממליץ בחום לכל אחד לבוא להוסטל הזה! לא תמצאו משהו יותר טוב.

Jawa Jiwa est le genre de homestays comme je les aime! l'établissement est situé à l'extérieur du centre,on est plongé dans l'ambiance villageoise,les habitants sont d'une extrême gentillesse et le calme qui y règne vous procurera un réel moment de paix. En ce qui concerne Jawa Jiwa hostel,que dire à part que tout est au top, propreté, accueil,prix,confort... vous vous y sentirez comme si ce lieu était le vôtre ! Makes you feel like home”
The most beautiful,relaxed and homely place you will find in Jogja! If you seek a quiet and peaceful place away from the stressed city stay here! Jawajiwa made my stay in Jogja so nice and relaxed and I ended up staying 5 nights instead of 2. Reza (owner),Tommy(manager),Lolo(chef) and her son made that happen. From the minute I arrived there I felt welcomed and safe. Tommy was the best in taking care that I always get the best meal and always kept me nice company :). Reza is such a great guy and helps you with everything and nothing is impossible - he even showed me around and made me try new things. Lolo is the best chef you can get and the breakfast was so beautifully made - perfect start of the day :) You will find help in Jawajiwa whenever you need it - for food,activities,transport and also if you just need someone to talk to. After 5 days staying in that beautiful place with wonderful people, the nice garden, cute cats,clean rooms and comfy Javanese interior decoration it was really hard to leave and I’m sure i will be back one day. Thank you Jawajiwa for making me feel happier and broaden my horizon with your Indonesian way of life.
