Average hotel full of misunderstanding”
We ended up with different rooms than we have booked since our family (2 adults, 3 children) did not fit in the family suite. The two interconnected double rooms on the 4th floor were nice and clean but were immediately above some conference room where there was very loud karaoke party of drunk Thais beyond midnight which prevented any sleep. It is disappointing that staff, which knew about the party decided (in the nearly empty hotel) to give our family with small children these rooms... Despite the large capacity of the hotel, any communication in English with the reception was very difficult. The lack of English was compensated with a lot of smiles. Several days after we completed our stay, we got a confusing message that our reservation has been confirmed. The hotel is only few kilometers from the Lomprayah Tapee Pier (THB 100 for a taxi booked by the reception staff which was smooth).

The hotel was probably nicely decorated 20 years ago....very dated now.....we checked in then checked out less than 1 hour later after the pack of promised WiFi wasn't sorted.....fairplay to the manager for giving us a hassle free cash refund ...this place was not for us.....it needs a full refurbishment in my eyes.....

Carpet in lift were very old and never clean, pillow case, bed sheet look like already used even we just check in, had bad smell from pillow case and bed sheet but all staff are friendly.

The Grand Saowaluk, Suratthani hotel is located in the city area of Suratthani, not far from Big C Super Center. The room is big, even the property is quite old but clean. You can order Thai Massage to your room at 300 Baht for 2 hours. The room rate is very reasonable and already include dinner and breakfast for your convenient.

Good hotel, big room”
Located on the main road, far from city center but very easy to find it. Rooms are big and clean, toilet is big as well, equipped with toiletress; shower pression is strong and water is hot. Tv have only thai channels, aircon doesn't have remote control, so you need to control it from the panel near the door. Breakfast is from 6am to 10am: i would appreciate if they could serve it till 11am (I woke up late!).

The hotel is in a very residential area so there is nothing really there. The rooms are comfortable and functional with great showers. The hotel does not have a pool, there is a pool about 100m away which hotel guests can use but it is. Public pool.

A convenient staging post”
This hotel offers good value for money. Rooms are OK. Everything worked. Staff were pleasant. Breakfast somewhat disappointing but maybe OK at the price. Do not be mislead by the images of the swimming pool. Shortly after arrival we enquired abut it and were told 'Turn left out of the hotel entrance and it is about 30 metres on the left." In fact, it is the hotel of a nearby sports club for the neighbouring housing estate (Thais would call it a village). It is more like 200 metres down the street - so definitely not somewhere you could walk in swimming attire. We looked at it and the pool seemed OK but we decided not to use it...so don't choose this hotel for its pool - one of our criteria. The management really need to be a bit more honest in their images about this aspect of the place.

Try the seafood restaurants located downtown for excellent fresh food at a good price. Also, try the food stalls near the pier for the night boat that goes to Koh Samui for a vast assorted array of good cheap food.

this hotel looks good from outside and central in Suratthani,but inside smell old and service from staff is not what we expected. Rooms was clean very late even is was very fev gest stay.Breakfast no good and 2.day we vas present 2 coise cause only 3 whithout a group stay, and that group get all, no good value for money.

Fair, good for one Night sleep”
Prompt Check in at Front Office, however given us the wrong room, as it wasn't made up yet, thus had to wait for another room key. Room spacious and beds good for a night sleep. Fridge 2 bottles of water for free, nothing else. TV only Thai TV. Wi-Fi a disgrace, practically not useable, due to such slow band with. Entire floor and room smells of the cheapest soap, reminds me of my conscript army service. Breakfast perhaps acceptable for Thais, surely not ABF as proclaimed. All in all, easy to find location, good to sleep over, expect nothing else.
