Hotel is clean, however if you look into some of guest staying there were locals. Attitude reflects how they are, for example lying on a sofa with their legs crossing at other guest is a rude behavior at hotel lobby will tarnished the hotel reputation. Should have a security to avoid hotel reputation.

Very Near Batam Center Ferry, CONVENIENCE”
Overall very enjoyable. There is a massage parlour near by although not much to see around the hotel. If you can walk for 10 minutes or take a cab for 2 minutes ( Rp70,000.00 from hotel ) to go Batam Center Mall / HyperMall, you have everything. Nice hotel and very friendly service are what you can get for XX $= Value for Money.

door men are best kind in this hotel. others good too but anyway bcs of my english skill is not so good, it was little uncomport to ask something at desk. breakfast is dilicious and restraunt mood is very good than picture. u will never regret about that. i want pizza as room service but there are not. i wish this hotel leave information book about famous batam travel site at each room.

I went to Batam for scuba diving and stayed this hotel for a night before we join the trip. It's bit distance from main shopping area but it was okay to just spend a night. Room was clean and staff was friendly and breakfast was not bad. Overall I was happy with my choice.

Polite staff greeted us at the door. The place is 5 minutes away from batam center ferry terminal by car. About 50k to 70k idr fare depending on car or taxi. Taxi charged 20k more for above 4 persons. Large bed was really good to sleep in. Aircon was cold. Breakfast was nice. There was standard toast with spreads, coffee tea juice and soya with traditional desserts and also jelly. Mie goreng tasted really good! The chicken and the kopi o was pretty good too. Kudos. Only thing that prevented me from giving a 5 star is a unique smell that wafts out from the bathroom. More work can be done on that aspect. We had 3 rooms and the smell from the toilet was common across all rooms. Since it was only a 1 night stay, we invested in a Glade air refreshener. Ocean escape flavor worked for us. Water pressure could have been better too. There was a rainfall shower installed but the water was more drizzle than thunderstorm. Really value for money though, and polite staff. Thank you!

Love the fact that the hotel has a cafe at the lobby where they have coffee, tea, blended drinks and cheesecakes in a cup. It is also very near to Batam Centre. They provide free shuttle bus to the ferry terminal too but we didn't use it. In the room, TV could have been bigger. It was like really small. Aircon was fine. Bedsheets looked ok. No fridge in the room and had to call for ice cubes. Each order is 10000RP. One of the lights in the toilet was not working. We left food in the room, it was boxed up and went out for a while and when we got back, it was swarmed by red ants. First time seeing ants in a hotel room! Breakfast was alright. Day 1 was fried rice, a chicken dish, fried tempe (fermented beans). For dessert was pengat pisang and sliced pineapples. Day 2 was lontong, fried noodles, soy braised tofu tempe and green bean soup and sliced pineapples for dessert. The hotel was decent enough for a short stay.

Over the holidays and last minute only left with a few hotels. Kaliban Hotel is the only nearest to Batam Centre. Room was ok. Breakfast served not enough as staff needed to top up many times.

Nicely decorated room”
Room was spacious cold a/c and whatever needed is provided for in the room itself, far better than some of the 4-5stars hotel especially the bed, it is so comfortable. Will definitely recommend to friends and will definitely return to stay !

Nice hotel and quiet area”
Was really impressed with this hotel. It is a little out of the way, however in a fairly quiet area so nice to sleep in an relax. Pretty much need to get a taxi to get anywhere however you can walk to Mega Mall in about 10-15min. Room didn't have a fridge, however that is probably the worst thing I can say about this place. All staff seemed friendly.

the hotel did not disappoint - room was clean, bed was nice & comfy. the only setback was the location which was smack in an industrial area with factories nearby, far away from city centre. luckily there was a cafe/resto nearby but nothing fancy.

The staff nice and helpfull. Theres shuttle service to ferry terminal but we didnt use it so no comment bout it. The food is soso, can take it to the room. The room is nice and clean.
