I had to change my place of stay since the bus to Ipoh got delayed for several hours and I ended up arriving in Ipoh at 2.00 am instead 11 pm/12 am. I have called them before the first time the bus was rescheduled, informing that I will be arriving at midnight. Unfortunately, the bus got delayed further and I decided to crash in other hotel/hostel nearby the bus terminal. This has cost me more but my main concern was my safety since I travelled alone. I didn't text or inform the staff bout not showing up that night but I didn’t realized that the staff texted me, asking about my exact arrival time. I only replied to them the next morning at 7 am. The language used in the text, how they interact with me was accommodating, professional and deserve a praise. Despite the fact I didn't stay there, they treated me with so much respect and I feel valued. I highly recommend this place because of its top-notch customer service.

I really love the concept of this hostel, cozy and warm like you are visiting a friend's house, also you can see that they do care about customer experience , put lot of efforts from small things like the kitchen with complete cookware, utensils even spices, sauces and so on. It's so far the best hostel I had ever stayed. Location are close to lot of great food. However, the sound insulation is pretty bad there. The music from next door bar (or karaoke) are easily hear start from night to 4am morning on weekend, I couldn't sleep for the entire night. A group of travellers in opposite room of the dorm room stayed up night till around 2am and I could easily hear their loud noises. My suggestion is maybe can provide traveller a pair of earplugs for free, that's what my previous experience for hostel that have facing similar situation. Keep it up, I do wish to stay again even my sleep was not that great.

It's not a luxury hotel. It's an cozy & comfortable budget hotel that's located at the heart of the Old Town - this shall enable covering the Mural Art Lanes and all the heritage buildings by walk. If the requirement is to find a decent place to Lodge for a few days, while most time will be spent in visiting places in Ipoh, then this should be the best option. Comes with a bare minimum breakfast (couple of bread slices and coffee/tea) but they plan to increase options I reckon. They've a nice piano in their lobby, few books to read and a small shop got a quick bite / drink. Fully covered with WiFi and rooms come with TV and AC. There is no parking on the premises. There are paid slots outside so pls be sure to grab parking tokens from 7/11 or happy marts. Overall it was a pleasant stay and will definitely consider future stays as well.

I arrived at the hotel around 230 am in the morning after making last minute booking and there was no one waited for me at the reception. I made calls to the number provided in the booking voucher twice and the staff came down with sleepy face. The best thing was, he had given me great service despite his sleep was disturbed. This was my very first time staying at the hotel and experiencing such great customer service left me nothing but satisfaction! I even made a great review bout this hotel over my social media - of the staff, the bed and even the toilet! I definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who travels alone or with group. ;)

excellent hotel! we already have lived here for five days. staff are so friendly and always give us good advice. This room is the most biggest room we live and the cheapest as well. Even the location is in old town so you have to walk to city 10-15mins. If you have limited budget and enough time, I really recommend you stay here! air conditioning is good, space is big, room is clean. price is affordable. it's really nice hotel! And it's easy get Uber or Grab. so don't worry about transportation. 😁

Had a one night stay during my recent business trip. Everyone was saying that this is the best hotel they had ever stay of all the business trips we travelled around Malaysia. Back to this hotel, I would say the location is quite strategic and there is a shopping mall beside this hotel. This hotel is quite near to Penang bridge so if you opt to travel to the island for a visit is definitely not a major issue but provided you must have a car to travel around to try the local food. Hotel room is spacious, clean, modern, air-conditioner is very cooling, touch and go security to access to the rooms, free wifi provided, security box, breakfast was good and comparable to Cititel Penang and Bayview Hotel in the island. This hotel is a much better choice for both business or family vacation as compare to the opposite road Pearl View Hotel which is a nightmare for me.

The only reason to stay in the hotel was to have a place to overnight after spending one full day at Lost World of Tambun. We only checked in late evening ie around 6pm and it was raining heavily at that point of time. The check in process was very fast and the staff there were very helpful to help fetching my kids from the car with all the stuff along and showing the direction to the food outlet if we were to eat outside the hotel. The kids were too hungry and lucky the hotel provides a cafe which is opened until 12pm daily. Food? Not bad at all for the price that we paid considering its a cafe and it is in the 3 star hotel. I liked both rooms that we checked in - spacious room for the kids and spacious bathrooms too. The next morning, we walked to the pasar for breakfast and had the best traditional breakfast overthere ie pulut ikan masin, mihun soto - awesome. Overall, thumbs up for the hotel facilities, the service provides by the staff and the location. I will definitely consider this hotel for my next trip to Ipoh.

I mentioned the three best things and the three worst were, 1 There was an ant problem in the room, 2 there was a problem with the phone system so we were constantly getting incoming calls, booking enquiries etc! 3 on our last nights stay there were hoons treating the street outside like a drag strip, very noisy!! But having said that I would recommend and would use the hotel again myself.

I stayed at New Caspian Hotel for a night. The location is superb, just 5 minutes walk to most famous restaurants, 20 minutes drive to Tambun Hot Springs. Upon check- in, the room's floor was very dusty but we requested the staff to mop it and they gladly obliged. There were also mosquitoes in the room as mentioned by a few reviewers so I came prepared with my mosquito spray. There was no remote control for the aircon so the temperature cannot be adjusted- it was a little too cold. Nevertheless, for one night's stay in Ipoh town at such a cheap price with free carpark just beside the hotel (also, with a guard watching over) was a really good deal!

Although we only stayed for a night, we lived the clean, quiet room with king sized bed. Very close to historic Kampung Jawa & the delights of Han Chin Pet Soo, the Hakka Miners Club & Ho Yan Hor, the Teahouse Museum. We strolled down Concubine Lane & enjoyed excellent local Chinese food in town that night. Next morning there was a huge, fantastic flea market with hundreds of stalls right outside the French Hotel! What a find! We’ll be back for another weekend:)

There's parking lots available in front however subject to availability. If the hotel is fully booked, may need double park or so at the parking lots of the hotel. Overall it's comfortable and room interior is well designed for a good rest stay. Worth the money and will come again!

A gem in the middle of Ipoh. Stone throm from Gerbang Malam night market and tons of eateries around such as Nasi Ganja Yong Suan, Nasi Lemak Ayam Kampung, Noor Jahan Bakery, Cekodok Raggea Cafe and many more. The homestay concept 2-bedroom apartment can pleasantly fit 7 people and the view is amazing. There's also a nice infinity pool and in-house gym. Recommended!

I was surprised at how centrally located the hotel was. Pub street was just behind, far enough so you don't hear the loud music from your room, but close enough to just take a 2 minute stroll to some of the best nightspots in town. It was also relatively near to a lot of the famous food shops. Two of the best dim sum in town are just a 4-minute walk away, perfect way to start your day. We took the triple room, and there was even a balcony. And the bathroom was so huge. Free drinking water too, just bring your own bottle down to the lobby to fill up. Also they had several reserved parking spots for guests at the back of the hotel, perfect if you are driving and do not want to pay for public parking by the roadside. I would really recommend this hotel, especially for other Malaysians making a short trip to Ipoh.

On first entrance into the hotel it was shocking..... a small space to the lift (with a man manning the entrance)...as the reception was on the 1st.floor....the reception was a small corner manned by 1 person with a small lounge area. But, he was very efficient and then it's next to our rooms....Wow! What a pleasant surprise! The corridors are clean and nice and on entering our rooms we were surprised to see the cleanliness of our rooms. Big bath rooms/toilets....Flat TV, kettle with cups and saucers, instan coffee, free bottled water, comfortable beds and pillows and clean thick towels. The rates were cheap for all these. Location of the hotel in old Ipoh city is good.

Stayed with my elderly parents and we booked the family room which had a double bed and single bed. The rooms are new and modern, quite basic, but all that you would need. Room safe, fridge, fantastic shower with really hot water and option to use the "rain shower", aircon, hair dryer, TV, free wifi. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, but just behind the hotel are 2 of the best dimsum restaurants in Ipoh, serving good local fare. There are other restaurants nearby for dinner and there is a new shopping mall at 5 mins walking distance. It's a 20 min walk to Ipoh Old Town. The other good thing about the hotel was that they are affiliated with Ipoh Overland Tours and the hotel staff facilitated the tour bookings for day trips with your own driver to where you wanted to go.

breakfast was not included when I book via agoda. however my sister call to the hotel to book the room and breakfast was included.. the price also same..

I had a bit of a hiccup checking in - looked like my payment didn't go through in their system (I booked through Agoda but it was showing Booking.com) so I just had to confirm that I didn't pay and paid upon my arrival. The rooms were very clean and just what anyone needs when traveling for just a few days. Otherwise, the staff was incredibly accommodating and SO kind. One of the staff members let me borrow his personal iPhone charger when I realized I forgot my adapter for the outlets. Then unfortunately, I was mugged walking down the street in a bad neighborhood and (who I believe was) the owner of the hotel came to find me at the police station to be by my side and help if needed. He also changed my room (upgraded nonetheless) since the robber had my hotel key. I will be forever grateful to this hotel and their staff, as they made me feel so very much at home at a time that I was wishing I was not in this city at all. Thank you very much Brick Box!!

This is the best hotel in Downtown Ipoh. Super close to many of the famous retaurants. Clean and Cheap. More of a 3 star hotel. Also Choy the manager is really helpful knowledgeable and just an all around nice guy. Would stay here again if visiting ipoh.

1st time stay in pi hotel. Fast check in and friendly staff. Only 3 things Im not satisfied was the room they gave me "810" have some problems - basin's mixer spoil with only hot water supply cause me brush teeth half way have to go into the shower area use the shower mixer. 2nd the body shampoo machine was out of service when I bath half way...damn! Cause me have to make a phone call ask them send me bath gel with a paper cup to my room and im on the middle of the bath! 3rd was the roon overall look like clean but actually have a lot of dust because i have a very sensitive nose. But at the end the staff shift me to another new room at "319" and thanks god everything was fine after shift into new room so just forgive them. The next morning when I woke up I leave a msg at reception counter ask them to do house keeping when I wanna go out, unfortunately during the night time when I back to my room the situation still same like morning without any house keeping. I purposely went down to reception to feedback and that time have 2chinese guys at reception and I dunno their name just can firgure out are "one fat, short with spec and another one is tall n thin". They talk nicely and good manner apologies with their miss out service. At the end this 2chinese guys still send me a room service for their sincerely apologies make feel so surprise and forget about the mad and happy to see the humble nice service. So definitely I will come back again when I visit ipoh. Thanks for the room service and keep it up. Hope to see the improvement when my next visit soon. Thanks Oh ya, the hotel location very good because all the famous places and foods was just nearby and the best things I like is the hotel provides free car park with security for only guest. Reasonable price with not bad interior decor. This hotel also very good with provide the information with all nearby famous foods to convenience/easier guests from outstation to find the place. A beautiful and charming hotel in Ipoh's historical old town. Loved the decor and the really wonderful staff who were better than many 5 star hotels I have stayed in. Location is great as you can walk to some of the best hawker food in Ipoh and also to the lovely cafes popping up nearby. It is also walking distance from the train station.

Nice room and big bed. Clean room with clean bathroom. The food are good especially nasi goreng kampung.

The Unit had the feeling of home. The furniture were minimalist and the amenities were adequate. It is very clean and staff are very friendly. Collection of keys are also hassle free. I will definitely go again.

Very dusty, dirty and even got cockroach in the kitchen drawer. The bed sheets and pillow sheets seemed like it has not been changed and they are of low quality standard. TV problem to switch on, when contact owner, the response was not professional as if blaming customer by saying “the previous customer did not complaint”..Customer had to show proof with pictures and tried to fix it ourselves but failed bcos we have no tools and the plug was stucked and difficult to pull out to change to the next plug point. The only plus point was the owner finally convinced and sent technician on site and got it fixed. But seriously, we hv never experienced such treatment. This will be the first and the last.

Owner contacted us and gave us detailed instructions on how to check in. Spacious apartment near Ipoh parade and within walking distance to many eating places.

Very nice place... I might say it was my best stay ever in Ipoh! The owner was very kind #ThanksRavi and also the staffs at the reception counter was very helpful too. I personally recommend this stay to who ever needs a walking distances to the nearest eateries e.g. the famous Tong Sui Kai (Dessert Street), chicken rice bean sprout restaurants, the dim sum restaurants and the shops that sells salted chickens and local biscuits for souvenirs. Thumbs up for a superb place to stay in Ipoh. Thank you very much for a great hospitality!

Awesome place! just at the center of ipoh town. walking distance to famous local foods & ipoh parade. the owner gave tips to the 8th floor view, was incredible at night! good for photo enthusiastic. manage to catch up with owner while he was nearby for some errands, great guy! if you came down to ipoh don't miss this place! can save you some grab/taxi money! hehe

This was our 2nd stay at h2h and we were happy with the condition of the apartment as it was clean and adequately equipped. It would be good to have a washing machine in the unit as well. Pool was small and not very clean. Poor drainage at pool shower area, and no provision of drip mats and/or anti-slip mats at pool area and entrance to elevator.

The toilet of 1st floor is what they shown but it was totally different for the 2nd floor, not as nice as what I thought. There is only 1 hair dryer in the hotel and the sound system is bad. You can hear every little sound from next door and the parking is quite dangerous as the garage is in a back street although the receptionist wait for us until we got into hotel after parking. But so far so good but not recommend for elder to stay as they have to use stairs.

One of the satisfied place I have travelled and stayed. Kind and friendly owner ( Jacq ), with beautiful place to enjoy with whole family. Great location with a lot of Good and Variety Food Spots , Shopping Centres and many more . Not to forget the Nasi Ganja ( Marijuana Rice ) as recommended by the Jacq. Thank you very much.
