Unforgettable Experience! ”
Where do I start? From the moment we arrived at Khao Sok River Home Resort we felt so welcomed and comfortable there. We were welcomed by Ari, a lovely Thai women who introduced us to the resort. A few moments later the newly founded owner Toby came down and introduced himself to us. Toby was amazing in getting us settled into the resort and was promt in letting us know about the many different activities and day trips that the resort can offer. He asked us what we were interested in doing and wrote up an itinerary of different things that they could offer us making everything very clear with multiple options. We stayed for 2 nights which was the most relaxing and joyful experience of my life. Once we had settled in Toby went through some options with us which he was very quick to check on to find out availability for us. We arrived in May which is a quiet period for tourism in the area so unfortunately not all options were available. However, despite this we were still given plenty of options to choose from. He organised a day trip to the lake at khao sok national park as well as a trip to the elephant sanctuary which is situated about 10 minutes down the road. Once we had these activities booked in we had an exciting itinerary to look forward to. The activities were very well organised and were also at a very reasonable cost. Any other time we had at the resort was spent relaxing in the jungle environment which really helped us to recuperate and unwind after plenty of travelling. The menu for breakfast and dinner was amazing and the food was even better with options for snacks/lunch as well. Overall there is not one bad thing I can say about this accommodation. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and always wanting to help which really means a lot when you've been travelling for long periods prior to arriving. Kate and her Husband are really really kind Hosts and help you with everything. We were honestly really sad leaving the place, because it became our home for a short time. Very clean rooms, deliciously prepared meals with grand portions and a super nice breakfast. All in all it was a perfect stay. Thanks so much.

Very friendly staff. They are very kind and helpful whatever request you have. They can offer you amazing trips to the lake, to the jungle, to waterfalls...whatever you want. The rooms are clean and if you want you can jump into the river next to the bungalows. Can definitely recommended to stay at this resort!!

Our best stay in Thailand! Yummy food at resort restaurant”
We had a 4 night stay here and we enjoyed every bit of it. Facing a river and secluded in a nice and quiet area, this resort is a great place to enjoy the sounds and view of the jungle without going very far. The room and resort restaurant were very well designed for a relaxing feel and they are very clean. Our hosts Kate and Alex spoke very good English, Thai and Russian. They are very nice people and they were a pleasure to converse with. They are also very hard workers. Working 7 days a week to keep resort running! They even got me band-aid/antibiotics when I had a minor cut. Tours can be booked through the hosts. The 1 day Cheow Lan Lake tour is highly recommended. Beautiful scenery boat tour, lunch on floating house, swimming, kayaking and trekking through jungle/river cave with an English speaking guide. Make sure you have a good pair of water shoes with good grip! Mud gets very slippery. The tour have some for rent if needed. Highly recommended! Excellent hospitality.

This resort is a 2 star at best, in terms of facilities and amenities. No fridge, tv, hairdryer, toothbrush kits, in-room WiFi. The room and bathroom is quite small, no closet. Having said that, all rooms have balcony overlooking small stream and mountains. Peaceful and quiet, all you will hear is crickets and flowing water (except for long-tail boats from time to time). If you are looking to enjoy natural surrounding, this is the place. The resort is located midway between Khao Sok National Park and Cheiwlan Dam, so basically it is in the middle of nowhere. In addition, it is 400 meters off main road. No restaurant or minimarts in the near area. Even if you have rented car, it will take you at least 20-30 km to drive to a decent restaurant for dinner. So you have to depend on the resort for meal, which is reasonably priced even though not too tasty for Thai. Breakfast is plentiful (you can order one of four courses in advance). We had the best time here. It was in the most beautiful, peaceful location. The food and drink at the restaurant was amazing. I had a pina colada that blew my mind! The owners, Kate and Alex were super kind and helpful. They set us up on a serene boat ride along the river, and an unforgettable trip to Cheow Lan lake. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a few peaceful days in a beautiful setting! It was the nicest place we’ve ever stayed.

This place is very good and comfortable like you stay at your friend's home. You can see good view with Tree and river from balcony. The staff is very nice and friendly. Breakfast is quite tasty including coffee or non-coffee and fruit. Location is private but it is not easy to go. I recommend when you search location in GPS, you should search"เขาสกรีเวอร์โฮม" The name is similar to another's resort. It may get lost like us. We asked local people where is there. Anyway, it is good place to stay when you come to Khoa Sok Suratthani.

Loved our stay”
The staff is what make this place - Toby the owner has a great team - all super friendly and helpful. Our room was small but the view made up for it - who needs space when you have a balcony to sit on and take in the awesome view. The room was super comfy with Aircon and a shower with hot water. The food at the hotel is delicious - we even returned after we checked out to eat lunch! There is a long long table there which kept my kids (and me) entertained in the evening. The hotel is a 25 minute drive from the town which was just fine as was out of the hustle and bustle and super peaceful. There is another National park 5 mins away which had a great hike and no one there. Toby is making changes to make the river accessible and have their own canoes. We didn’t go in the river as rainy season. We will definitely be back again and will stay again and I would highly recommend this place to everyone!

Erholung im Nationalpark fernab vom touristischen Rummel”
Durch die bisherigen guten Bewertungen war unsere Erwartung schon hoch, dennoch waren wir dann von der Realität überrascht. Wir haben uns im Resort von Kate, ihrer Familie und mit ihren Mitarbeiterinnen sehr wohl gefühlt. Allein das gute Essen lohnt schon einen Abstecher dorthin! Alle Räumlichkeiten sind sehr sauber und die ganze Anlage gepflegt und schön. Die ruhige und nette Atmosphäre bietet die beste Voraussetzung für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt in dieser wunderbaren Natur. Kate, vielen Dank und wir werden wiederkommen!
