Apartment 1 - Khyber Lodge Apartments offer pet-friendly accommodation in the Westcliff area of Whitby. Whitby beach, pier and lighthouse are 100 meters away and Whitby Abbey is approximately 600 meters away on the other side of the river. Free WiFi is available in most apartments. All apartments feature a flat-screen TV as well as a seating area and a dining area. Perfect location, easy access, we even arrived a little earlier and was able access property. Everything was extremely clean and well presented
Could do with a family table in the living/dining area, playing games etc was not possible. There is a perfectly good b/fast bar, but stools are high so we couldn't all sit down to eat/play games. This is not a deal breaker for anyone picking the location though. Only other thing is the divan base on the double bed could do with being replaced. Mattress was comfy and we slept undisturbed but sitting/laying on the memory foam mattress you feel like you're on the divan base which is sagging due to age. But again perfectly comfortable, just a point to maybe refresh?

clean bright had everything you needed. views were brilliant. location was superb. views of the sea beach church and abbey. everything you needed in one place. excellent.
no washing up liquids for crockery. had to buy our own. no bin liners in bins. only minor things and in no way put us off the property. have no hesitation in staying here again.

There were 3 adults in our group. Main purpose was to walk part of the Cleveland Way. We stayed in apartment 1. It’s like a Tardis! The property was tastefully decorates, lovely and clean. Very comfortable beds. Spacious and clean bathroom although it will benefit from an extractor fan. The kitchen is very small but well equipped. Don’t expect more than 1 person in at a time! The basement court yard garden fronting the property has potential, it sits below street level. Plenty of parking spaces available although it may not be just outside the property. We felt perfectly safe. There were hand sanitiser available at the entrance and in the property. The property is within a walking distance to many attractions Whitby has to offer including cafes, bars and restaurants. The only downside was lack of a tin and bottle opener. We had to improvise and open a jar of cooking sauce and screw top bottle of wine instead. We will be happy to return to the property this time armed with a Swiss Army knife just in case. Highly recommend place to stay.
Very little to dislike. A tin and bottle opener in the kitchen is essential which was lacking during our stay.

Very nice and was pleased with apartments.”

The location and the cleanliness. The Apartments were well equipped.
The only criticism is I didn’t think that the chairs were comfy in the living area. I felt I could have relaxed better on a more comfy chair. Settee was fine but there were 3 adults so one of us had to sit on one of the chairs.

Lovely stay at Khyber Lodge Holiday Flats”

Lovely stay in Whitby at the newly refurbished Khyber Lodge Holiday Flats. Lovely decor and furnishings with everything you need to make it home from home. A very clean, tidy and well set out flat/apartment. Great view from the room of the harbour looking across to Whitby Abbey and a great location. Although it doesn't guarantee a parking space the parking permit included in the price is a very welcome addition to the stay by making it a little easier to allow you to park in the nearby allotted zone area. Another added bonus is that it is a pet friendly apartment so your fur baby can join you on holiday. Great weekend stay. We have booked again and are looking forward to spending another lovely weekend at the Khyber Lodge Holiday Flats in September.

Clean flat in great location with lovely views”

Great location with lovely view of the beach. Spotlessly clean and spacious flat. The owners obviously took great care to prevent COVID-19 transmission, including quarantining pillows for 72 hours after a visit and removing soft furnishings. When we arrived, there was only one pillow per person which is not enough got my partner and me. I therefore wrote to the owner asking him to rectify this and he went out to buy two more for us and delivered them about an hour later - great service. Note that parking is not the easiest in Whitby. I would recommend parking for an hour in West Cliff car park when arriving. You can then get into the flat and receive a free scratch card for residents parking. Not easy to find a residents space but not impossible.

Spotlessly clean, plenty of room, a very modern apartment with all mod cons (we had flat 1) A quiet part of town but close to all amenities.. Definitely book again..
Needs some cloths for wiping down with. There were no t-spoons WiFi not very good

Great apartment”

Apartment 1 has been beautifully decorated and is a lovely place to stay. It is in a perfect location to explore Whitby. The owners appear to have thought of everything as lots of additional things were provided such as toilet rolls, soap, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, milk, tea and coffee to mention a few. We had brought our own so didn’t really use but is handy to know! Parking didn’t appear to be too much of a problem and we got parked opposite where we could see the car. It probably gets busier during the school holidays and at weekends. Would return when visiting Whitby again but may try for one of the higher apartments for a better view.
The bed was very soft. Shower wasn’t very powerful.

Fantastic little break”

Everything was organised and trouble free from booking to checking out. The apartment was in a great location close to the town centre and the beach. The place was spotless and very comfortable. Brilliant experience all round.
Parking was tricky. Sometimes having to park a distance from the apartment.

Fantastic location”

Exceptionally clean, beautiful bed linen and towels. That extra touch providing tea, coffee and sugar which is much appreciated. Would definitely stay there again.
Very central location with Great view from apartment 2. Fairly good parking facilities if you cannot get in the free zoned parking there is a car park just at the back of apartments.

Location was perfect and it was very clean and comfortable. Lovely view of the bay and quiet in the evening. Only a short walk to where the action is.
Very minor points would be not having a bath and finding it difficult to get a parking spot but other than that it was perfect.

Long weekend in Whitby”

The location and the flat was excellent. The heating was extremely responsive and warmed the flat in minutes if we felt cool.
The shower was a little difficult to regulate and affected by other taps being on. I've had a similar shower at home and found it to not be ideal. But it did the job, just required care.

Had everything you would need, spotless and tastefully furnished and roomy. We had flat 3 and loved the bay window where you got a sea view. Bed clean and comfortable as was the pillows. Walk to harbour was not long. Lights tripped off and we could not reset it so telephoned Steve and he came straight out. Definitely would go back.
