The property is undergoing, a multi-million pound refurbishment that will refresh all of the existing guest rooms and suites with an elegant, new look. The upgrade includes brand new, two-bedroom penthouse suite, add 12 new bedrooms and upgrade the Spa reception area and lounge.
The Restaurant at Blythswood Square has closed its doors following almost ten years at the forefront of Glasgow’s dining scene and we'll soon be creating something new. Over the coming months, while our plans are realised and a new space is created, breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served in The Salon located on the first floor of the hotel overlooking the gardens.

Such a lovely hotel, the spa is exceptional, I would come back to the hotel just for the spa. The hotel spa were extremely helpful and the bar was great with lovely cocktails. Would highly recommend and will be staying again whenever in Glasgow.

Best hotel in Glasgow”
This is our second stay here & would not stay anywhere else. Rooms are very good-great bed & pillows,air con worked well. Large marble bathroom. Buffet breakfast was perfect. The underground pool/spa area is brilliant. On both our stays we found all the staff to be so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely Hotel with Complimentary Spa Facilities”
Beautiful hotel that was centrally located. Complimentary spa facilities like steam room and all but you will need to bring your own swimwear (no t shirts allowed). Has quite a number of street parking around the hotel (2hour max stay with 30minute refresh rates i.e you will need to park at another street for more than 30minutes before coming back).

After staying at many hotels in Glasgow, I would highly recommend the Blythswood square, as one of the best available. Perfectly located for easy access, to all the main places in central Glasgow. A warm welcome and very helpful staff. Well equipped rooms that are well maintained and looked after.

Lovely hotel, great location, totally recommend”
The beds were so comfy, the staff were great and very helpful and friendly, loved the bar and ambiance and had a brilliant few hours in the gorgeous spa too. Location was spot on for exploring all that glasgow has to offer. Loved the city too. Things which would have made it perfect would be complimentary water in the room, the room to be a bit lighter and a few finishing touches in the room to be sorted i.e. bathroom glass doors were not really clean, main door didn't close, not enough coat hangers. But all tiny niggles. Overall we would return again to this hotel and to glasgow, a lovely stay in a fantastic city.

I stayed here for just a night and it was amazing! It was incredible value for money- the hotel room was amazing, the spa facilities were brilliant, and the city centre is just down the road! Couldn't think of a better place to stay in Glasgow, would honestly recommend to anyone.

Excellent City Centre hotel”
The hotel is situated in the business area of Glasgow but still only 100 metres or so from the main shopping area. The welcome from reception staff was great and the rooms comfortable. The spa is excellent as is the breakfast. The bar, whilst expensive specialises in cocktails with an extensive list. All in all a good experience

Beautiful hotel in great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Negatives are restaurant meal was a bit ordinary. Spa in the evening was a mess - soggy towels, empty water bottles, plasters a hair clumps floating in pool - yuk! Everything else a positive and wouldn't put me off staying again on another visit to Glasgow.

I've stayed at the Blythswood a few times , but not for around two or three years. It felt like this time it had been cranked up a notch in terms of very friendly and attentive customer service, it really added to the experience. They also have water in the rooms now which, rather unusually, was missing when I last stayed, so that is another positive addition.

Couples spa day and night in the city”
Staff were excellent, couldn't do more for us and were friendly and approachable. Asked for ice for the room and it was delivered as quick as possible, maybe around 5 min later.The spa was great add on to the hotel stay wish it was free all day for hotel guests not just 6-9 but great quality. Bed was super comfy and the bathroom was great as it had a really good shower and bath. The only thing that I would change is the check out time as 11am is pretty early, even an extra hour would make the difference, to check out at 2pm it was an extra 35 pounds which I thought was pretty steep. Didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on that. Overall paying just over 100 pounds for 5 star service and use of the spa is well worth it.

only had a short stay, one night, but was very impressed by the hotel, and it's staff & facilities. certainly merits a 5-star rating. one point to note, the entrance is subtle, we walked round the square a couple of times before finding the hotel!

Close to perfect”
Welcoming luxury hotel with a fantastic spa. Surprisingly unstuffy with the most friendly yet professional staff. Genuine sense of nothing being too much trouble for them. Dinner was excellent and breakfast options very good. You really should go the only downside is that you may judge other hotels by the very high standard they set!
