A wonderful getaway location!”
this was our second stay at Bailand Beach Resort. The facilites have been upgraded and improved since our last stay. The resort beach is more rocky than sandy, but they have brought in a signficant amount of sand that our 7 year old son enjoyed playing in each day. The breakfast is a nice buffet with different offerings each day in addition to some staples. The room is large and comfortable. The bed is NOT the typical hard Thai mattress, but very comfortable. We rented a motorcyle to visit some of the more white sand beaches nearby. The staff helped up book a wonderful day trip touring around some of the smaller islands and snorkeling. The staff is friendly and helpful! We would definitely stay again!

Exceptional service in dire circumstances ”
My BF and I were there just as Covid19 hit a fever pitch (no pun intended...) We were LITERALLY the ONLY guests at the resort our last 3 days. The staff went far and above the call of duty to ensure that we still managed to enjoy our stay to the best of their abilities in the worst of circumstances. Food was always great. Prices (for Koh Chang) we’re reasonable. Walking distance to several other restaurants/bars/local markets. Wish the beach was sandier. Very rocky part of the island. But, truly, the best staff ever. We wish them all the best as they will be hurt most by the economic fallout from this virus.

Pretty good place”
During this COVID-19 pandemic a lot of hotels have not been able to keep up with maintenance and so many things are broken and the rooms can smell very moldy since Thailand is a humid climate. But this hotel assigns rooms which are very well-maintained and very good quality. I was impressed with the value for the amount I paid. But when tourists start coming to Thailand the prices will of course increase greatly.

Nice location on the beach”
It's pretty nice. The facilities are very basic, as are the rooms. The huts facing the beach are nice, though they are very basic. For example, there is no desk and you have to do some juggling to get an electric outlet. But quite good for a basic place. This beach area is very quiet - you need to go over the hill to Lonely Beach if you want some late night fun.

WIFI and Bed”
For wifi we though will be in every room, but the hotel provided WIFI only in the lobby and no service telephone in the room. The worst part is, I think they use block spring instead of mattress because it is so hard and I saw it was block spring, the first night I hardly sleep.

Great Location BUT....”
The resort is beautiful located but in need of a proper Management. Staff seems to be unmotivated and therefore many things are not being noted or just simply overlooked. WiFi is only available in the reception area, with very slow speed, everybody is desperat for a signal.....Oh ja the Staff as well... And you better have a good sleep as you will here the loud music from the night club in the next bay until 4 in the morning (fool moon party.. sometimes until 6. In a nutshell... a resort located in a beautiful spot, but if you spend the money, I recommend to better look somewhere else.

The view of beach is very nice!”
The room is nice and big, but the air condition is very louder and the furniture are quite old. The lights in the room are very dark. The night shift old lady receptionist is very cold with no smiles for dealing with Check In or any answering of customers’ questions. The road outside of resort is very dark in the night due to there are no road lights, it has better to come back to the resort before night. The foods of restaurant is ok.

I wouldn’t stay again ”
Not what we expected and overpriced. The grounds of the hotel are nice and the room was comfortable however - the pool was tiny, the staff - especially at breakfast were so rude and didn’t want to be there, and the hotel was more for Russian tourists than elsewhere. The guy behind the desk during the day was friendly however everyone else was miserable, sadly. Breakfast was ok.

Wouldn’t stay again”
As other reviews have said if u come to Koh Chang to swim in the ocean this is not the place for u. Besides that the bungalows are packed together tightly without much privacy, my a/c unit was noisy and blew straight on to my neck (common in Thai hotels). Breakfast was slightly above average, artificially flavored sugar water called orange juice, tasteless white stuff called bread. Not worth the $46 paid, glad I only booked 1 night so I could go to a better hotel on a better beach at White Sand Beach.

Can not swim from this swamp two very unclean streams on to rocky beach bathroom clean but falling apart lock not working tv like a snow storm
