Wonderful hotel”
Very clean room, kind and friendly staff. Swimming pool in front pier surrounded by mangrove forest. Its bit away from the village or beach but there are taxi in front of hotel always so it was no problem at all. If we come back to Koh Mook, we definetely will stay at this hotel again.

Infinity Pool”
Having an Infinity Pool more than made up for having to travel a bit for a beach. The pool was thoroughly cleaned every morning. Although it was on the opposite side of the island from the main village we enjoyed taking out the courtesy bikes for a five minute run there. Tuk tuk on sight as well so never a problem.

Very good”
We really liked our big, clean room and bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful and we booked a half day tour with a long tail to see the Emerald cave, snorkeling and Koh Kradan through them which was great! The rooms are modern and very simple. We liked that it was a quite bare room, but missed hangers for clothes, both inside and a rack for bathing clothes outside. The location has its upsides and downsides. It is remote in the jungle/mangroves and it takes about 30 minutes to walk to town. We really liked being out there and walking in to town through the jungle though. We did not expect there to be a beach by the hotel, but you should be aware that it is on a mangrove swamp. With the jungle surroundings and little crabs in their holes all around my son loved it! There were bikes you could use for free or rent a scooter or take a taxi for 100 bath. The pool was clean and really nice, and I would most definitely recommend this place for a relaxing stay at Koh Mook.

Nice Place To Stay”
The Great Sun Report was nice. Very helpful staff and accommodation was new and clean. Comfortable bed. We were able to borrow bikes as and when we liked for free which was a nice touch as great way to see island. We biked to Charlie Beach in 10 mins and got boat to see Emerald Cave. Bikes could be left anywhere and unlocked - very safe. They also have us free taxi to pier for boat transfer to Koh Lanta. My only criticisms- the hotel wasn’t finished, they were still building so felt a little like a building site. The pool furniture needed updating - was broken and dirty. Breakfast was fine but as we are vegan the only option was dry toast and fruit. But would definitely still recommend this place for Ko Muk.

Almost Paradise”
A sparkly new hotel fronting one of the many title Flatts that circle the island. Everything about the room was lovely, with thoughtful furnishings and impeccable service. The swimming pool is particularly nice, spacious and clean. However there is no small pool for younger kids. On the downside., location is a bit isolated, and with the kitchen unable to furnish meals due to business being too slow,, it’s a bit of a trek to a restaurant. There’s no landscaping, so the spaces between the Bungalows are just a series of mud holes. WiFi fluctuated between glacial and nonexistent.

Secluded and quiet.”
The Sun Great Resort has many pros with some room for improvement. It is very new and there is no WiFi further back into the woods. It seems most of the resort was built in a marshy area, behind the beach and first rows of chalets, so I would expect some landscaping to be in the works, otherwise it doesn't have much visual appeal. The beach is not like the other beaches on the island, it is a tidal beach which at low tide the water is a hundred meters or so from the first row of rooms. The proximity to the "hilltop restaurant" is a huge plus. Breakfast was so so, but the staff make up for what the food lacks. They are top notch. The rooms are spacious, nicely built, huge TV channel selection, large washroom, mini fridge with free snacks (major plus), asian beds. You can borrow their bicycles for free which is really nice because many things on the island are far from here, this is good or bad depending on if you like secluded or not. Overall I think the price is a little high until the WiFi and landscaping issues are addressed but nonetheless it is the second cleanest/nicest place that we've stayed on Koh Mook. We will return.

Pool fantastic especially for our young kids. Hang out in the pool till lunch. Take a bike taxi for a few bucks to Mong Bar on Charlie beach for cocktails sun and crystal clear waters. Rent a longtail directly from the skipper for the emerald caves. Be back at the resort for chilling and then go to the center of Mook island for food and drinks. Unfortunately you have to give the food at this resort a miss. It's the only letdown...

Great Bungalow”
Super nice bungalow, and very friendly, helpful and attentive staff. The location is a bit off, but the resort lends bicycles for free, and everything is close at Koh Mook. However, the wonderful bungalow mismatches a tad with the environment there placed in. No big deal, just sayin'

Fantastic stay, friendly and helpful staff”
The location was very good, between the village and Charlie beach. The hotel has bicycles that you can borrow, so it was quick and easy to reach both the village and Charlie beach. Unbelievably friendly and helpful staff., a big thank you and a warm hug to Cartoon, the manager of the place. The cleaning staff surprised us every day with the most imaginative and funny towel arrangements. We stayed in the beach front villa, and the sea during high tide reached a few meters from it. It was nice to follow the local fishermen from our porch, however, best for swimming is the nearby Charlie beach. The people in Koh Muk were very friendly, and the best part of our holiday was to get to know the local inhabitants. As to eating, we definitely would recommend Hilltop on the way to Charlie beach. A friendly, family-run restaurant serving large portions of delicious freshly-made Thai food. The hotel also has a wide choice of meals, the food there was delicious as well. We hope to return one day.

Very clean. Very comfortable.”
We had a great stay here. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, comfy, and spacious. The staff was very nice, though there was a bit of a language barrier. Location was good -- in between the strip of town with the most restaurants and Charlie Beach -- so you could walk to either. The pool is also really nice. We did one of their "excursions" to emerald cave and to snorkel. The trip to the cave was great, but the snorkeling part didn't really happen. They didn't have gear and the guide didn't seem to know where to take us. It wasn't too expensive or anything and we got to see the island which was great, so we were fine with it. Wifi was very spotty. Generally had to huddle by the front desk for it to work. All in all, would absolutely recommend.

Perfect piece of heaven”
From the minute we arrived this place was perfect. The staf are helpful and funny, the room is magnificent and really comfortable. The shower is hot powerful and huge. The food is really nice and freshly prepared. But what really wowed me was the amazing infinity pool, it was fabulous. I love this place and everything about it. We booked this hotel at the last minute as the accomodation we had booked was not suitable but I think it was serendipity, what a fund. Recommend to anyone, go, you'll love it

Impressive hospitality ”
We knew the beach there wasn't going to be great for swimming, so no complaints there. They have motorbikes for rent (and free bicycles) and the other beaches are very near and easy to get to. The swimming pool is nice and the breakfast is adequate, but he service / hospitality is what really sets this place apart from others, starting with a very warm welcome when we arrived until the time we checked out. Cartoon is especially helpful. She has been on the island for many years and can recommend all the right places to check out. The only thing I did not care for here is the mosquito net. I'd prefer they screen in the room (and especially bathroom) rather than making it necessary to sleep with the mosquito net. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable stay.

Nice hotel but a bit over priced and secluded ”
Pros:- Shower was good lots of hot water, big sink with mirror, hairdryer provided, toiletries provided, bed was comfortable with a mosquito net which they set up every night, mini fridge provided, Kleenex tissue box provided (good brand taste), they provided free peanuts in the fridge on the first day, they restock 2 bottles of water per day (although i don't like that brand of water they use), free bicycle to use, wifi was ok...,,, staff are friendly, big swimming pool. Cons:- breakfast was limited choice (artificial tasting fruit juice, american style breakfast or porridge) when you pay over 3000 baht per night it should be better, bikes were not in the best condition, narrow wooden plank leading to the hotel it should be larger especially when you carry the bikes across, wifi not great, the shower gel they use is drying on the skin, the bathroom wall at the top had a gap so bugs can come in, rooster in the morning makes noise, no drying racks on the balcony, location is secluded.

Fantastic bungalows”
The bungalows are great and the staff are great but the location, although very close to beach areas with their bicycles (FREE) is a bit a of a "hole". It is a mangroove which is pretty dirty and if you are unlucky you will not get to see much water in it. Tide was at night and midday and we left during the day so it feels a bit desolate. The room is brilliant though and staff great. Location is not good though. I would probably find a cheaper better located place but would go back overall

at first we were a bit disappointed by the muddy beach... but the hosts were lovely and the accomodation great and the nice beach is only 10mins walk. it turned out to be the nicest stay on our journey.

Off the Beaten Track”
Beautiful accommodation, in not the nicest locations. You can walk to a really nice beach but where resort is located, you are in a little cove that wouldn't be great to swim in. Everything was great except where it is located.
