Spectacular resort, exceptional service, amazing food ”
The resort is absolutely beautiful. Well maintained and has a plantation Asian vibe. Our room was immense, with a well appointed bathroom and a lovely balcony. The staff all around are extremely welcoming and friendly. They really are concerned that you have the best experience with your stay. The food selection at breakfast is so vast, you have no idea where to start!. They really do make you feel like a welcomed guest. The trip into Hoi An is short, and well worth it. Stunning town. Absolutely would look no further than the Koi, and plan to always make this my home when in the area.

This place is absolutely stunning. It was a nice & quiet change after visiting Hanoi for a few days and before heading on down to Ho Chi Minh. I was traveling with family and we had an amazing time. They have a shuttle that runs about 4-5 times per day taking you into Hoi An or a taxi is about $3 one way. Lynn at the front desk was an amazing host and helped us with everything we needed...booking tours, more water in the room, etc. She was awesome, and all of the staff were really. My only small disappointment was that this is across the street from the beach which I was really looking forward to having a little beach time during our busy vacation and this beach is damaged. it was all sandbags so we opted for a little pool time which was fabulous but still this doesn't have a nice private beach for lounging, you can access it by walking across the street but there's not a sandy beach to enjoy. All in all though the resort itself is amazing and I've never stayed anywhere like it! We l

A wonderful small resort! There were always more than enough staff eager to please to do anything they could for you. Rooms were just as beautiful as the resort it’s self. A very nice relaxing experience. Would highly recommend the spa pool for a lovely spot to hang out all afternoon in the sun!

We originally booked the "garden view" room, but were upgraded to a Bungalow with garden view, as the garden view room was in a poor state and lacked any garden view. I don't recommend you book that room (and they ought to rename it), but the Bungalow is certainly highly recommended. The remainder of this review will be for the Bungalow with garden view instead. The Bungalow is a great room with comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom that has a large shower area and spacious and deep bathtub. The TV comes with all the usual channels you might like. The resort's breakfast buffet is nice with a good variety of choices. For vegetarians and vegans they have a few a la carte options that they can serve for breakfast as-well, and some of the buffet options are compatible as-well. Be sure to ask the staff so they can point you to the right dishes. Do note that the resort's bread (including baguette) contains milk. Overall we can highly recommend the bungalow room and this resort.

We stayed at this resort for 3 days.. Very impressed by their friendly staffs. Their facilities are great. Food is very good, they offer various choices for breakfast. You will need to walk 10 minutes to the resort's private beach since the one in front of resort is ruined.

We stayed 5 nights in this hotel and had lunch and dinner in the unique opened hotel restaurant. The menu is very simple and the menu is the same for lunch and dinner so in 5 days we tasted almost everything from the menu but for the same order we had different presentation and different items(vegetables are sometime served with rice sometime without) we also experienced long waiting time while the restaurant was empty, and once they forgot to serve the desert. The personnel is very polite and very respectful but somehow lack of training.

extremely disappointing ”
Koi resort advertises that it has 3 restaurants and two bars, however, when we arrived, all of these facilities were closed. We were only informed of this after arrival which was extremely disappointing as we had planned to spend the whole time in the resort relaxing. We also needed some ice to put in a few drinks we were having before dinner, however, on contacting reception we were told they could not give us any ice, which again is very poor service for a 5 star hotel. The resort itself is quite dated and starting to look the worse for wear and is not somewhere I would recommend if you are looking for the full 5 star luxury which we paid for. Very, very disappointing.

Decent Facilities with Horrible Service”
1. Superior room is dilapidated. However, bungalow is quite satisfactory. 2. There is no "garden view" as there is no garden. It is in fact bungalow with "building view." In order to have a view, you have to stay in a 3 or 4 bedroom villa or bungalow with lagoon view. 3. Staffs act like government employees in an authoritarian regime. They order you to be satisfied with what they offer, not accommodate your needs. 4. This resort is dominated by large groups. And they are truly noisy.

Beautiful resort but bad management ”
We went to the koi because of we wanna relax a few days, but the whole stay was not relaxed. When we arrived they told us to do not steal anything. After this she was asking for security money (deposit) if we are gonna destroy things or are going to steal. Also was asking for tip... horrible Desaster every day one bus full of Vietnamese people came and scream around at the whole resort, was climbing the chairs which we are sitting on it and make party really loud party and karaoke the whole night! Please went anywhere else and beware of staying there. Manager wasn‘t there and staff was not friendly, breakfast was in a room without aircon and with a lot of people. Anyway it will be better to stay in another hotel resort oder Hostel! Not 5 Star

Rude&impolite manager. Insult guest. Not well-trained staff. Facility is definitely not 5-star”
I would like to complain the Manager named Ngoc Phap (Or whichever full name that the staff refused to disclose, that i find it ridiculous). You can check again with the receptionist-in-charge on 25th Sep’19, at around 4 or 5pm. He is such a rude and impolite person, which i find it hard to understand why he is a Manager of a 5-star resort. He called my room to demand the guest to go down to the receptionist to pay extra fees. His tone was to command the guest to come down and pay, not politely talking to the guest. He blamed the mis-charge of extra fees on the guest, and accused the guest of mis-informing. To be frank, even if the mistake is on guest, the staff and resort should not have talked to guest in such a bossy and freaking rude manner. Not to mention, while i didn’t managed to finish my conversation, he HUNG UP the phone on me!!! What’s wrong with this self-claimed 5-star?? Even a one-star hotel staff would never hung up on guest in such a way. It is a norm that any hotel or resort staff will include the polite additions such as Please, Thank you, Sorry in their conversion with Guest, however not even a SINGLE of these words coming his mouth when talking to me. How is this possible that a Manager does not even know a basic hotel manner. Even if i made a big fuss with the staff, i still didnot receive any apologies form him. He obviously looked down on guest. He definitely should go back to primary school to learn basic etiquettes. The first day totally destroyed my mood at the resort. Seriously, I would not recommend this hotel at all if you are looking for resort to rest. There are thousands of 4-star hotels out there with much better service and lower price. And not to mention, the water pressure is so weak and you must wait for a while for hot water to come out. Sound proof is not good, i cannot hear people next door talking. A person who is used to having some personal space and who likes to relax in the room at the end of the day may find the rooms too small. I have travelled a fair bit, and I would say the room we had was the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in, except in my backpacker days. The quality of the room was great - clean, well laid out, stylish, etc. We just found it tight. We also found the breakfast buffet restaurant could get surprisingly busy and noisy. It seems they allow tour groups to use the restaurant and main pool for a period of time in the morning. We started taking breakfast as late as possible, and that helped a lot. By that time, the restaurant had cleared out and then we could relax and enjoy our morning coffee. For us, everything else was great. We had a really nice time. A highlight was the private spa area at the other end of the complex. There is a pool, cafe and lounging area there, as well as the spa treatment rooms.

Great location, very helpful staff wonderful breakfasts. When we stayed unfortunately it rained a lot, so a games room would have been good. Also perhaps a more frequent shuttle bus service from the hotel to the ancient town. Apart from that I can't fault the Koi Resort, or the friendly staff.

As soon as you arrived you feel special. All the staff at the Koi so friendly. The 3 bedroom villa is situated in a nice setting. We had our breakfast and dinner at the chopsticks restaurant. Great food and reasonable price. We would come back again to stay in this beautiful resort.

The hotel seems private owned and has just started operation thus still needs alot of improvement to meet 5* standard. Hotel is quite far from Hoi An or Da Nang, not very convenient for city visit. Breakfast is impressive during weekend with a lot of choices. Swimming pool is small and looks not attractive so I did not use. Rooms at the first floor are lacking of privacy thus recommended to book the ones at 2nd floor.
