The room is clean and beautiful balcony view from the deluxe room type On the second floor. The resort has free shuttle van to and from some well known areas in Chiang Rai city center 3 times a day which I love so much!

Lovely surrounding (fish pond, garden, well maintained), spacious, clean and well equipped room. Several private rooms for lunch/dinner, karaoke). Delicious Thai food. A bit out of town (10 minutes by car). Really worth the money.

Looking for a place where to hold my brother in law's wedding party (and have guests stay overnight), found the Kong Garden View Resort. Just 5 minutes drive out of Chiang Rai city center. Nice garden, fish pond/lake, restaurant (excellent Thai kitchen), quiet area. Very nice room/bathroom, baldony on the fish pond/lake. The friendlyness of the staff could improve.

Everything great (room, food) ... except ... the staff ...!!”
Unusual for Thailand, the staff, whether at the reception or at the restaurant, is somehow friendly. No usual "sawasdee kraph", no smile ... disappointing. Even when greating some of the staff, I wouldn't get a reply. Wow ... am I really in Chiang Rai, Northern Thailand, were people usually are even more friendly than in the South ? Management: Your action is required !! You'll make your place to be an even better one. I'll be back (booking for 14 nights made already) later this year. Hopefully things will have changed by then.

Kong Garden View is a resort style hotel located a bit out of the main part of town. There is plenty of parking, but you really do need your own vehicle if you are going to stay here as there is nothing close by. The room was pleasant with a nice balcony vista of the pond. Laundry was cheap, the wifi was usually good, but did drop out at times. The bed was a bit firm for my taste, and the shower was one of those hand-held affairs with a cradle you can mount it in, but it persisted in pointing the water down into an inaccessible corner. The main disappointment was the breakfast, where the western options were limited to eggs and sausages, but the fried eggs in the “heated” container were stone cold on all three mornings I was there. You can fill up on toast with butter and jam. It’s an OK place for those with transport, but there’s room for improvement.
