"The room was big, with plenty of room to relax and spread out our stuff. The bed was big, soft, and comfortable. Included in the price of the room was a drink per person, per night, as well as breakfast. Breakfast was a choice of western (rolls filled with salad, coffee) or Japanese (rice, salmon, pickles, eggs, salad, miso soup). The food was delivered hot to our room at the times we requested. Staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. Amenities were of surprisingly good quality; the shampoo/conditioner/soap was pretty close to the quality I use at home, which was a nice surprise for a hotel. They also had a humidifier available for borrow, which we used to counteract the drying effect of the air conditioning, which was nice. The only thing that took away from our experience was the fact that it was very obviously a love hotel. I suspected this before going, and I have no problem using a love hotel as a regular hotel(hence why I booked anyway), and they seemed to be making an effort to transition to regular hotel. However, the lighting panel being behind the bed might be convenient for wooing your special someone, but it was pretty inconvenient when we were just trying to go about our day. The red bathtub was a little tacky. There was also a moment where the top layer of bedding (which was pristine) shifted to reveal a stained mattress underneath. Overall it left a kind of sleezy impression of an otherwise perfectly pleasant experience."
