Wonderful stay, - true paradise!”
Kradan Island Resort (KIR) has the best location on Koh Kradan, at the end of the beach, away from where day tourists are dumped off. Staff are attentive, never in your way, and contributes to a very relaxed atmosphere. Bungalows are basic, with veneer floors, bamboo walls and a mattress on the floor. You are provided with a fan, mosquito net, towels, private shower/toilet and a veranda with a hammock. The pure simplicity and no frills concept make KIR unbeatably charming and pleasant! Open the window to take in the beautiful sunrise, and watch the waves wash ashore. Or, fall asleep to the soothing rhythm of the waves. The bamboo walls, with small gaps and cracks ensure a fresh and nice circulation of air at,- the beauty of a natural construction. It feels fresh and clean, almost like a natural air conditioner – without the risk of getting the cold due to temperature differences and dry, recycled air from conventional air conditioning. In the bath room I was once greeted by two small frogs, and another day by a small gecko. Both harmless and more afraid of you than you will ever be of them – I found it charming! No other creatures observed hardly any mosquitoes at all. A genuine, fun and relaxing experience! However, Kradan Island resort is probably not for everyone. Therefore, before booking you should consider your own expectations and requirements, if you want 5* comfort you should probably rather stay at the Sevenseas. Make sure to walk the beach at night, it is truly magical! In the sections between the various resorts (where there is complete darkness and no lights) you will discover that the beach is sprinkled with neon-blue glowing plankton. It is simply stunning! Dining: Food served at Kradan Island Resort is good – I enjoyed many meals here. For some variation, I enjoyed the kitchen at Paradise Lost, the cheapest at the island and many claim the best. Kradan Island Resort is a sparkling, little gem! Can't wait to revisit!

Just had an amazing time on Koh Kradan and stayed at Kradan Island Resort (not to be confused with Kradan Beach Resort which was closed at that time). Bill (the owner) and Pi Aoy (the manager/caretaker) were very helpful without being getting on your way. Clearly they understand that people visit KK to relax. Most of the accommodation options were closed at that time so I had booked my stay before going there.The other resort gave me a flat out answer of "1,000 baht" with no consideration while KIR was considerate with the time of my visit being off season and that I travelled alone. During that time, KIR was the most booked and serving reasonable food- being in the middle of nowhere though made food a bit pricier but that's understandable. Everyone working at KIR was welcoming and ready to share a story or two which made the quiet days of my stay more memorable. Koh Kradan is really a beautiful place so having an awesome accommodation multiplied the experience more. Thanks to Bill, Pi Aoy and Ari for making my stay great! Can't wait for that treehouse. PS- The super moon from Koh Kradan was astonishing. Plus waking up in a bungalow few meters away from the white sand stretch of Kradan was a bliss.

My best Koh Kradan experience !”
this was my second time in koh kradan and i must say also the best. the first time i stayed in one of the more built-up resorts and it was fine but also somewhat impersonal. this time i definitely found what i like best - more presence and personality. at kradan island resort the vibe is much more laid back and the friendly and relaxed staff managed to make me feel part of the family. admitted : the resort is less luxurious, offering only bamboo huts without aircon, but imo this just emphasises the tropical island experience. additional advantages are that the resort is situated in the most peaceful end of the beach and it is also a lot cheaper than the more built-up ones - a bargain experience :-d i'll be back !

Kradan Island resort was a most wonderful unique magnificent week on a superbly beautiful island. Immediately upon arriving we knew we in he right place. We were looking for a beautiful lazy beach front holiday and that is exactly what we got. The main thing for us is to feel connected to the culture and nature and not be too much involved in the western tourist bubble. Whilst Kradan island is definitely tourist location without its own local population and overpriced resorts and restaurants, we went for the seclusion and raw in spoilt beauty. Bills offered the most relaxed and authentic experience on the island. The place is not without its quirks, and definitely need to be in the ‘mai pen rai’ frame of mind when staying here. But we feel that is part of her charm. Rooms are clean, mosquito nets great, food is good but overpriced for Thai rates(unfortunately everything is on the island) We stayed on beach front and that is exactly what it means. 10 paces to the water.

We are quite lucky to be located away from the 'midday day-tripper' zone and so happy that you found the tranquility you wanted. An unfortunate downside to being an island with no settlement is that absolutely everything needs to be sourced & shipped in from the mainland, as such prices can seem to tend towards the excessive.
Calm, simple and beautiful”
The owner, Bill, was extremely kind and helpful and his place is really one of the best places on the island - and the island is by the way my favourite in all of Thailand (and the world)!!! Beware that prices on this island are well above most other places in Thailand (around double to triple of Ko Lanta prices) as it’s so remote. Our bamboo bungalow (B1) was very worn with the porch floor unable to hold us without breaking but soon as we told Bill he offered to fix it right away :) All bungalows are on the beach and with both a porch and sea view so no need to worry about that ;) We will definitely return to Kradan Island Resort some day! Oh, and make sure you take a longtail over to Emerald Cave on Koh Muk - it’s amazing and also fine with very small kids (ours were 3 and 5).

Beautiful surroundings, brilliant friendly staff”
Met straight off the longtail boat by the lovely couple who owned the resort, along with their son and gorgeous pups! Extremely helpful, but not in any way pushy. We were the only couple on the island at that time, they were very generous in providing us with a free evening meal and morning coffee. The lady also helped us in getting back to Trang free of charge on one of her friends long tail boats. We will be forever grateful for how they helped us and would recommend staying at Koh Kradan Island Resort to anyone.

Very nice stay”
We had a very nice welcoming by the manager and the staff. The bungalow is just right on the amazing beach, it is perfect! Bamboo-made bungalow makes it unusual and not damaging the island landscape. The hotel is one of the lasts one on the beach when you come by boat which makes it very quiet and you feel like you have your private beach. We enjoyed a lot our stay at Kradan Island Resort and we definitely recommend it!

Amazing Views”
It was stunning to wake up to the amazing views of Koh Kradan. Kradan Island Resort has the best value rooms right on the beach. The rooms are simple bamboo huts with attached private bathroom. You can hear the ocean while you slumber peacefully. Originally we booked into the cheaper rooms back from the beach, however, once we arrived we decided to change. It is worth paying a little extra for the phenomenal position of the huts that are right on the beach. The staff were very accommodating about this change. The food is good. And the owner organised transfers back to the mainland, that were half the price of what we paid at the airport on the way there.

Bamboo huts right on a beautiful beach”
Koh Kradan is great for those in search of a very small island with only pristine water, white sand and nature. The resort is very simple, no frills at all, just the simple huts that I like when I want a total immersion in nature - listening to the waves all night long and enjoying the breeze: no air con required at all. Koh Kradan Island Resort is probably the best positioned on the 2 km beach.

Charming Tarzan style”
Kradan Island has a limited number of accommodation on one beach only, all in same row. The rest of the island is Nature Reserve area only. All boats seem to arrive in the opposite of Kradan Beach Resort and from there is about 10 min walk on the beach or a short taxi-boat ride (50thb) to Kradan Island Resort, which is the second from the very end of that beach. Nice beach and good for swimming but care also for jellyfish, during full moon also plankton can be seen on the waterline.. Simple bamboo Huts on the beach suit for 1-2 persons and they are most atractive. Stayed alone in a big family bungalow that suits well for 4, max 6 persons as the bungalow has also a loft. Beds are thick 140 cm queen size madrasses on the floor. Nice new linnen. Toilet + shower a separate space, few steps below on ground level. No hot water but who needs that. A free standing fan ( another one upstairs) is mainly useless as nice sea breeze does the same effect. Personally I was even freezing as a simply sheet of satin is not much worth. Colorfull moscito nets ( which I didn't use either) as a cute detail. For dinner, I recommend the barbeque fish which always is fresh together with some beers, no wine here. Occasional troubles with serving staff with poor english but the owners Thai wife always sorted everything out nicely. The menu covers a lot more but must admit that the cooking was not a honour for this place. Due that reason tried also some other resorts too, the best and most expensive meals were on the neighbouring resort but forgot the name already. The owner, an american Bill, makes the big part of the charm on this resort. He is always around helping and chatting with all customers if he's not shortly away from the island. This place has a lot of soul!

Fantastic location with nice easy going vibe”
Love this location and the easy going vibe that Bill the owner + staff creates. Would highy recomend it to people and families thats likes to be right at the beach to enjoy the natural splendor of Koh Kradan. This is not a place for people that expect “German” efficiency service but rather for people who value a great atmosphere and to be on the best location possible on the island.

Great location”
Location of Kradan Island resort is just perfect and it probably has the best beach on the island in front of the resort. It was equipped with all the basic things needed, however eventually it will need some renovation. Staff was very friendly. If you want to relax, this definitely is the perfect spot.

Perfect service, friendly staff, and beautiful location”
When we booked this place, we expected the worst based on previous reviews. However, the opposite is true. Yes, the bungalows are basic, but what else do you need when you are on a beautiful tropical island with a resort situated right on the beach?The thing we liked most about this resort was that the service was very fast and the staff was very friendly. If you have been to Thailand before you know that when you enter a restaurant it can sometimes take ages until the staff comes to give you the menu or your order. In this restaurant, staff was very quick which we appreciated a lot. Also, everything was done with a smile, proper English speaking, and always there to help. The location was right on the beach with a magnificent view especially in the mornings. They offered a wide variety of food, however we found that the Thai food was the best compared to the other menu items. Furthermore, the bungalow was basic, but clean and had every basic thing you need. Thumbs up for this place!

Rustic bungalows in an awesome location”
This is a great place to stay as long as you know what to expect. This is not a plush resort; but it's a very cool place and the location is unbeatable. The bungalows are rustic but nice, no AC but you can just leave the windows open and the pleasant evening sea breeze keeps you cool. Contrary to other reviews, there were no holes in the floors or nails sticking out, and the windows and doors were lockable. Ko Kradan is a beautiful mellow island, and this place is a great value.

Relaxed and basic”
Kradan Island Resort had a beach front bungalow available for a really cheap price so we went for it. Bill met us as we jumped off the longtail, introduced himself and gave us a beer on the house. He has a very relaxed attitude to his business and is very affable. The bungalows are basic and I mean basic. There's a mattress on the floor and a good condition mosquito net. The bathroom is down 3 concrete steps and is concrete full stop. Proper flushing loo, cold water shower and basin...we shared with a friendly frog! No frills and not for luxury lovers! No cleaning/ clean towels/ sheets throughout the 7 day stay. We enjoyed it and were happy with the lovely beach front position. Food at Bill's was very good and prices similar to most other resorts. If you're prepared to rough it a bit it's fine.

Very basic bungalows in good location ”
One of the cheaper places to stay on Koh Kradan but expensive compared to other islands like Koh Mook. Food also relatively expensive but very tasty. Staff were very friendly and helpful but room could be improved. We were on the VIP family beachfront bungalow but all wood was bare wood and not sanded at all so risk of splinters. Also, no furniture at all other than a bed in both rooms so lacking places to put things. The place did not feel particularly clean and some of our towels and sheets were heavily stained, although smelt clean. We washed swimwear and everything seemed to turn orange so not sure about the water. Good location away from Kradan Resort where most of the day trip boats stop. Good snorkelling in-front of resort - go at high tide or difficult to dodge the coral and sea urchins to get to the deeper water.

Nice, relaxing and good food”
Stayed in a beach-front bungalow, just 10m from the sea. Bungalows are basic, but everything you need to "survive" on the island. When tide was low we literally walked to the coral reef(right in front of the hotel) to enjoy snorkeling, water was crystal clear. There is a couple of natural trails thru the jungle leading to the other side of the island with breath taking wild beaches. To take some picture, walked about 1-1.5 km on the left thru a rocky beach till the "end" of the island. Otherwise quite and relaxing holiday. Staff was friendly and carrying.

Lovely simple resort, gives all you need.”
Tigerline ferry stops ko Mook/Kradan but close to Ko Mook and takes half hour to bring you to Ko Kradang. (50Baht extra to pay). The Bamboo huts are simple but have 24 hrs electric, seperate bathroom with western toilet (flushed), cold shower and small sink. Quiet northern part of Ko Kradang. Quit a long walk with luggage if you arrive with tigerline ferry. At night it can be cool in january when windy and noisy from the waves because of the bamboo thin walls. The beach is one of the best in thailand. Swimming and snorkeling great about 50-100 meters from shore. Kitchen serves good food and cool drinks (also Beer). You can visit other bars and restaurants on the island now have about 8 resorts. Transport off the island can be booked with Kradang beach resort reception or hire pvt boat.

Situated in the end of the long beach it is quiet and calm with clean new bungalows, we´d say this is the best value on Koh Kradan. English speaking personell make the stay very convenient.
