A wonderful stay”

We, a young backpacking couple, loved it here. The bungalows are clean and well kept, breakfast is also well worth it, the cats are really cute and friendly and the staff and your hostess are the best you could ask for. We typically organize everything ourselves but here it was just so effortless and and easy to let our hostess do the organizing for once. She was great and super accomodating. We even stayed longer than we originally anticipated. We will be back- Thanks gor the great time !

Lovely place, really well looked after and super clean. Bungalows are surrounded by nature, the couple who run it are delightful and go out of their way to make sure you're happy. We rented scooters directly from them and they also arranged for our transfer back to Ao Nang. Beds are very comfortable, there's AC and moskito nets. I definitely recommend!

Everything was perfect! Clean room with everything you need (we got a bigger one than booked because we were the only guests at that time). Very kind host family with good recommendations for restaurants and discovering the island. We rented a scooter and had a great time.

Unbeatable experience in Happy Hill bungalows”

We found Happy Hill through Agoda when we were looking for a cozy place to stay in Koh Lanta and we quickly fell in love with the wooden bungalows at the back. However, we only booked half of our stay since we wanted to try out other areas of the island too. After 4 nights there, it was impossible for us to go elsewhere. We were incredibly surprised by Happy Hill, especially by the hospitality of Ying (the daughter of a Thai family who owns the resort). She was super helpful, gave us great advice about things to do and was really welcoming since day 1. The bungalows are a short walk away from a quiet beach and the place is right in the middle of the island so it is perfect for driving a motorbike around and do little day-trips to explore the rest of the places and beaches that Koh Lanta has to offer. We would recommend 100%!!!

Nice bungalows!”

We really enjoyed our stay in one of the bungalows in Happy Hill resort. The bungalows are new and well equipped (you even have an extra room with a fridge and to store your bags). They offer the bungalows and that's it, no restaurant, pool or any thing that you would find in one of the luxury resorts on the beach BUT it's cheap, clean and comfortable and that's all you need on Koh Lanta. You can rent a scooter from the staff (good prices) and hop on to one of many the great restaurants and coffee shops for your breakfast or dinner. (I can recommend Faim de Loup, a french bakery for an excellent breakfast. just a few hundred meters north)

A wonderful choice to stay”

Lanta Happy Hill is a wonderful place to stay on the island. The owners are delightful to be around and more than happy to help with any arrangements. There are 9 wooden bungalows with fan which are extremely comfortable. The bed is massive. There is a modern bathroom, a separate kitchenette area with a kettle, fridge and generous space for luggage. There is a mosquito net around the bed, and electric anti mosquito plug. The furniture in the room is simply stunning. There is a wardrobe, with a safety deposit box, bed side tables and a mirror, a vanity desk, a chair. Everything is carved out of wood.There is also an outside porch with comfortable chairs where it is possible to listen to cascades of nature sounds -cicadas giving concerts. The owners provide you with candles and anti mosquito coils for the outside area. The bungalows are located in a stunning garden like jungle. They have a travel agency on site where tours and airport transfers can be organised. Laundry costs 40 baht per kilo. Renting a scooter for 24h with helmets is 200baht. Cleaning is every 3 days but it can be done daily as long as you put the note CLEAN on the door which can be found in your room. Fan room was more than enough during hot days. You will be greeted with a cold drink on arrival. Local, cheap food is available nearby. You will get a map of the island and some tips of how to get around. The relax beach is a 5 minute walk-a blissful place. The owner's daughter is amazing and really helpful. When TV was not working, the problem was fixed immediately. A fantastic stay!

Ying is Amazing!!”

We stayed for 4 nights here and loved every second! The rooms are amazing, so clean, a little bit luxurious, really comfortable, so much room, a clean mosquito net for the first time on our trip! Wifi is good, shower is good! Basically there is nothing wrong, unless you want to be a little bit closer to the hustle and bustle, it may be slightly further away, but you are right opposite relax bay which has amazing sunsets and beach bars and an awesome restaurant Yawee is a two minute walk so you can manage! Although all of that is amazing the thing that makes it really amazing is Ying the owner, she is so kind and friendly and incredibly helpful. She is always there whenever you need her, she offered us ideas of where to go and what to do, she helped us book the 4 islands tour and we hired a scooter from her and booked our onward journey with her. She is amazing and I would recommend everyone to stay at Happy Hill!!

Worry free bungalows, great people”

Great spot, rooms were spotless, and there area a lot of little things that make this place great. Having a fridge was amazing. You could head down to 7-11 and stock up on all sorts of things and not have to worry about the heat. The bungalow itself was spotless, the sheets were soft and clean, and the towels were of a higher quality than most similar resorts in Thailand. This resort is basic, but it doesn't feel like it. As there isn't a restaurant or bar attached, you need to head out to find somewhere. That said, there are loads of places to eat, for cheap! There is a little kitchenette available for everyone to use, and I made a simple breakfast there most mornings. If you walk down the path towards the main road, and cross it, you'll find a road that goes all the way to Relax bay. It's less than a five minute walk, and there you'll find a few restaurants, a few bars, and the beach. They have mopeds to rent for 200B a day, I did, and it was great fun. I'd definitely stay again, and would recommend it to anyone.

Clean, friendly, cheap”

This is situated a little south from the tourist trap of long beach- good for heading south or heading to long beach, but you need a bike. The local beach is nice too. The bungalows are big and well equiped with fridge, hot showers etc. good internet. Friendly staff. Not for partiers but ideal for families/couples

relaxing stay on happy hill”

Had a real pleasant stay for the second year in this accomodation. The staff was as last year friendly and caring. Problems do not excist here. Once issues are reported they are instantly solved. The location is good. Nice beach with bars and restaurants is within a 5 minute walk. Drinks like coffee and tea are there to take whenever you like. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated. For sure we would recommend this accomodation to friends.

Hillside Bungalow near Beach”

Nice basic resort located on the hillside above Relax Bay. Although there are no beach or water views, the location was good for a short walk to the beach. Several shops and restaurants where also located about a 10min walk up the road. Our bungalow was spacious and relatively clean (Occupied areas where clean but thick dust under beds and furniture). The resort is also quite new so rooms are in very good condition. Unfortunately, our bungalow (#7) had rats in the ceiling space which where very loud at night impacting on our sleep, other guests we meet did not have the same issue. Overall the resort is fair value for money given the location, standard and options available locally.

Nice quaint place with strategic location to Saladan Pier.”

Love the place! It is cat friendly place so you can play with the cats everyday when you hang out at your front porch. All the cats so friendly. As the place has abit if mosquitoes, they provide mosquito net over your bed and that is very thoughtful and useful! Water is a little brownish on some days but it is because they pull the water from the sea itself. Not for the extreme fussy ones. Owner was very helpful and friendly. Picked us from the pier at 150baht and motorcycles available at 200baht/day. Food at the kitchen is also worth it and yummy! Will come back!

Very nice but noisy”

Our bungalow was huge, clean and the bed confortable. However, our bungalow was the closest to the main road and we heard many noise from there. They have many other bungalows far away from the main road, just be sure you take one of them and everything is fine. The owners are very friendly.

cute bungalows. resonable location”

At first very disapointed from distance from the sea. getting to the restaurants area at night was envolved in a dangerous walking on the main road without side walks at night. the bungalows are a bit to close to each other. if you drope this two issues i find it a satisfaying accomadation. May- the lady that was incharge of things was helpfull and attentive.

La propriétaire des lieux Ying est très efficace et de très bons conseils pour les sorties (restaurants, excursions, location scooter...) Resort très bien entretenu et très charmant...au milieu de la végétation...du style Thaï. Nous le recommandons fortement.

Quand nous sommes arrivés le manager de l’hôtel n'avait pas enregistré ma réservation, elle nous as surclassé dans un autre hôtel, donc je ne pourrai pas jugé le Lanta happy hill mais très bonne réactivité de sa part.

Super petit endroits!!! ”

Les bungalows sont supers en tout point, bien équipés ( frigo, télé, bouilloires, eau chaude,....). Le patron est au petit soin et adorable. Et le prix est super bas pour des bungalows de cette qualité. Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit car comparé aux autre c est le meilleur rapport qualité prix que nous avons trové sur l île !!!!
